LE "Exclusives" being released on Marketplace
Jack Of Harts replied to Creative Gaming Inc.'s topic in Halo 4
Not everyone did. Everyone outside of the US and everyone who was under 17 didn't get their code. -
I thought you didn't like Halo 4 that much... Anyways, Halo 4 is an awesome game, I love it a LOT but I don't think it's the best Halo game. I preferred Halo 3 and CE. Those are my top 2. But it's 343's first original Halo game, and they did so well, I think they have what it takes to make the best Halo ever.

What I mean is you can't spray and pray with it that much, you need to place your shots better.

But, wasn't this exactly how the Battle Rifle was on Halo 3? They're decreasing the fire rate to make it balanced so it will take more skill to use. I think it's a well-deserved update. The DMR completely outclasses the BR currently, and I don't like that.
-
I hope they do make more. If not now, maybe some time in the future. I love Spartan Ops, I would love to see it continue.

I just read on Waypoint, the weapon tuning has been tested, and they will be releasing these updates on June 3rd. According to the bulletin, the following changes are being made: Battle Rifle is now 4-shot kill, with a slightly decreased fire rate. Light Rifle's fire rate has been buffed. (I'm a little iffy on this one, it may be quite overpowered) Decreased bullet magnetism on automatics. (Assault Rifle is currently my favourite weapon, hopefully I'll still be good with it) Gotta say though, these changes do sound promising, especially making the Battle Rifle just like it was in Halo 3. <3 43!
-
Which is your favourite automatic loadout weapon? My personal favourite is the Assault Rifle, as it has the best burst-fire accuracy, longest range, doesn't run out of ammo as quickly as the Suppressor (Not sure about the Storm Rifle) and it looks awesome. If your opinion differs, tell me what weapon you prefer and why.

1. Halo CE. 2. Halo 3. 3. Halo 4. 4. Halo 2. 5. ODST. 6. Reach. I haven't played Halo Wars yet.

He really likes it. Thanks, man.

My friend would like a signature very similar to mine. Background: http://oi34.tinypic.com/d8tar.jpg Spartan on the left: http://oi37.tinypic.com/5wrd.jpg Text: Gamertag: GBE Tarantula. Smaller letters below: The 7 Brotherhood. He really likes my signature, and he wanted one. I'd really appreciate it if you make him one.

It's easier to build maps on, though. Forge World is a really nice looking map, but I prefer Forge Island for actually building on because you don't have to worry about blocking off loads of the map with walls, and you don't have to worry about finding a space to build on. In Forge World, all the hills and rocks just got in the way, whereas with flat lands, you won't have any of these problems.
-
I am aware that Forge Island is "old news" now, but I still wanted to make this topic. Both maps have their advantages, but which one do you prefer? Advantages of Forge Island: Flat lands are easier to build on. You don't need to block off half the map with walls, to prevent people from leaving the map. A bigger forge pallet, including bases, a Green Screen, and the ability to place trees. Advantages of Forge World: More interesting map, as it has a lot more terrain. More aesthetically pleasing. I personally prefer Forge Island, for building on but what do you think is better?

Halo 3 is an awesome game, but so is Halo 4. After you play Halo 4 for quite a bit, the changes will grow on you and you will start enjoying it. It's still Halo, just with a few changes, and I think they work.

Halo Combat Evolved Multiplayer (XBLA Download)
Jack Of Harts replied to BeckoningZebra1's topic in Halo CE + Anniversary
CE is my favourite of the series. It's amazing. I highly recommend that you get it. As for multiplayer, no I don't think there is any. If it's identical to the original Xbox version, then it would have local multiplayer. I think you can play the Campaign split-screen though. I wouldn't really know, I have the original Xbox version and CE Anniversary. But, it's definitely an amazing campaign. -
Well, here's the thing: They were trying to make it different from the Halo games. They didn't want to make a feature film based around the Master Chief killing Covenant, because when watching it (at least for me) it would only make people wish they were playing the games instead. I found it entertaining because it goes into the story of the cadets, and the marines whereas in the other games, they were pushed to the sides. They didn't want to make action scenes, they wanted to tell a story about a squad of cadets. I haven't watched it in a while, but I think they were talking about how Cesus won a war with less men, just to show the cadets that higher numbers does not always mean victory. "I honestly don't think it works with Halo" Again, they were trying to do something different, and it worked quite well. Also, I don't think they will ever make a 6th episode. Forward unto Dawn was mostly a build-up for Halo 4.

@Victory Element The DMR is seen as "overpowered" in comparison to other precision weapons. Here's how I think the BR should be: It should have a lower rate of fire, but should be a 4-shot kill. This way, the BR would be better in CQC but the DMR will still outclass it at long range, as opposed to outclassing it in every way, like it currently does.
-
Thanks, man. It's amazing.

Could you design me a signature please? I would like a Halo styled one. I would like the background as the UNSC Infinity interior, preferably this image http://oi34.tinypic.com/d8tar.jpg I would like my Halo 4 Spartan on the left. Here's the image http://oi38.tinypic.com/6ssas2.jpg I would also like my gamertag to be written across it, so it's just beside my Spartan. My gamertag is JXZAW Beneath it, in smaller letters I would like "The 7 Brotherhood" written. If you could design a signature for me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Probably. The Storm Rifle does make a really good secondary.

I only like the Storm Rifle just because I'm a better player with it. I find it more enjoyable to use.

Like I said, it reminds me heavily of CE, Halo 3 and Reach.
-
It's still Halo. It's like Halo CE, combined with 3 and improved aspects from Reach. Halo CE, because of 4 covenant species in campaign, the feeling when you land on Requiem is the same as when you first land on the Halo ring, the campaign is mainly exploring this unknown world, and finding out everything about it. Also, no Elites in multiplayer. Halo 3, because of the Battle Rifle, similar HUD, same health system and I think the menus resemble Halo 3's menus. Reach, because of Bloom, DMR, Armour Abilities and the magnum is pretty much the same. You argued that removing the Plasma Rifle is just like removing the Assault Rifle. 1. The Assault Rifle was used a lot more, and 2. They DID that in Halo 2. Maybe they used the Storm Rifle because they wanted to do something different. Like you said before, if everything was just like Halo 3, people would criticize it for being stale and repetitive.
-
"Not having Elites" That's just nitpicking, really. You can't even SEE your character in game, so does it really matter? The Elites weren't used that much in the previous games. Why bring up the Battle Rifle when it's in there? Also, why does not having the Plasma Rifle matter, when they included a similar, and arguable better weapon (Storm Rifle)? If they just recycled all the older games, people would complain that it's too much alike (Kinda like that other FPS series). I like 343i for doing something different. I never really used the Plasma Rifle much, I prefer the Storm Rifle. Halo 4 has not only done a few things different, to keep the game fresh, but also kept the core of the game by making it similar to Combat Evolved, which is a VERY good thing. Combat Evolved is my favourite out of all the Halo games, and it seems to be 343's favourite game as well, and are paying homage to the original, which is something I LOVE them for.
-
Elites are not really needed in war games, they weren't used that much. Okay, for Machinima, that's a good point. Also, I really don't see what's wrong with Halo 4's Forge mode. Halo 4's Forge mode is better in so many ways to Halo Reach's. 1. Flat lands are easier to build on. 2. The green screen. 3. Each map has it's own Forge pallet. 4. The smaller maps (the default ones) provide more variety than the one huge map (Forge World.) 5. Magnets. 6. Forge Island added trees, and bigger rocks so you can build terrain. 7. Being able to duplicate objects, meaning faster building. 8. You no longer have to block off half the map with walls, unless you are making a race map. 9. Being able to place Trait zones, and gravity volumes. That is an awesome idea. 10. (I know this is minor, but it helps sometimes) When you point at an object, it highlights and tells you what you have your cursor on, meaning no more accidental object deleting.

The gameplay is nothing like Call of Duty. It still takes skill. It still stands out, it still has the Halo gameplay we know and love, these haters just like nitpicking on things that really aren't that bad. It's still a competitive game, and they're trying hard to please these so-called "true halo fans" yet they still keep on hating.
