  1. this doesn't really mean it is of isn't but i read something like a 343i interviewee saying it wasn't a jetpack per se just that those thrusters have always been on his suit (he used a different term than jetpack as to what the thrusters were called). Could be a little easter egg that the jetpack is returning, could mean that the jetpack is not something the Chief would opt for. I'll try to find that article Although in the Halo 3 superbowl trailer a bubble shield was used and was actually incorporated into the game. Flying through zero g with thrusters is something i hope is not just something from a trailer. I would love the jetpack in customs and firefight but i can see them doing to it what happened to the bubble shield in Reach. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------edit http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/1856-halo-4-trailer-the-jet-pack-master-chief-used-explained/page__p__17211__hl__thrusters__fromsearch__1#entry17211
  2. You fight with him (on Legendary at least) during Pillar of Autumn, Halo, Truth and Reconciliation, and many others (ihaven't played through CEA on legendary all the way yet but when i do i'll list what levels you lay with him on). And now that i think of it he actually sits next to you on the Pelican ride during the opening of Truth and Reconciliation too.
  3. I meant that if the first round from a three round burst hits the target the damage is counted as if all bullets hit the target. I always thought that the BR was a funny weapon, you can hit people without aiming at them properly and if you do aim properly then you get full damage. Hitting people across Hemorrhage lengthwise is actually near impossible, although it does happen, the TU kind of made the AR much more powerful in close range. My prediction is that if Halo 4 does feature a precision weapon other than the DMR, BR, or .50 it will not be something we've experienced before.
  4. What's your strategy, did you try doing what's written above? I found that flying around every part of the map like you're patrolling the city at full speed made more phantoms show up. Also, like Spectral Jester is saying, when i focused on attacking the phantoms more banshees showed up.
  5. I don't mean to argue but being the fifth most involved character, his position is kind of vague. He and Foehammer are kind of on the same level, Foehammer you never see but she appears in multiple missions, Johnson plays no direct role to you but is in two cinematics (if you don't count the factual canon of the Legendary ending) and plays alongside you in almost every mission. I don't know what I'd classify them as, whereas Cortana, Keyes, the Monitor, and MC all know and interact with each other, Foehammer and Johnson seem like they're in the immediate background yet I feel like Johnson is more sort of in between that line.
  6. I thought they were using something new btw i don't think scarabs should be drivable, but pelicans i would like in at least forge and custom games (maybe even firefight)
  7. I'd like dual wielding if there was a significant increase in error angle when utilizing it. Not exactly realistic for a Spartan but hey picking up two weapons and getting twice the power with no handicap doesn't seem right somehow
  8. If the first shot in a three round burst from a BR hits then all rounds are counted as hitting, I'm fairly certain the accuracy of a BR with zero error angle is perfect. That doesn't have much to do with how easy it is to actually aim on target but to me the DMR is much like I felt the BR was in Halo 3; overpowered and offsetting to the balance of the spectrum of weapons. Of course there needs to be a high standard accuracy weapon in Halo 4 but in Reach there are 3 and like all of you are saying, this makes it hard to traverse a large scale map without marksmen being a problem. In CE the only high accuracy weapon other than the sniper rifle was the pistol which had a 2x zoom and more 'bloom' than any other weapon like it in any other Halo. However, there was only one weapon like this and while still it was usually the most frequently drawn weapon, the pistol is not exactly a role model for what's to come in my mind. Now i say this without working conjuctly with 343 or having any experience in beta testing but to me... it's seems like making the pistol accurate/relatively-underpowered and the 'rifle-whatever-it-may-be' high-bloom/overpowered, would make sense
  9. I wondered about the amount of aircraft being limited, thanks for answering that. Do you know if covering a lot of ground on New Alexandria generates more Banshees or was that just because I flew around and found a phantom like you're saying?

  13. Personally i don't have a problem with it unless another player betrays me for no reason (not playful). ergo removal However i do think that there are gameplay elements in this udpate that were removed, or overlooked, that should not have been. Maybe your controller can vibrate if another zombie melees you, and allowing betrayals after the last man standing has been infected would make a lot of people happy and forget about in game betrayal i think. I'm not sure how they would implement either one but in game betrayal can get annoying
  14. How about if completing the weekly unlocked smaller challenges that either replace the weekly slot in your challenges every day you complete one, or that are less points than a daily but you get a new one every time you finish another?
  15. Anybody try Long Night of Solace? I did mine (and my brother's) on New Alexandria, but the space battle in Solace is kind of similar, does anyone know if this is effective or not? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------edit because it took me over an hour to do both on legendary with all skulls but iron and blind.
  16. You can't use the 4g Xbox Slim, and a flash drive won't work, you will probably need the hard drive hope this helps: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110501090640AAU1MXu
  17. I'm down as usual. my gamertag is Aeinmestus LoFi, just message me about the surprise, you know how it works *CSI miami intro music*
  18. the amount of servers and ze moolah make this hard to do. It's a pity
  19. A->B delete all of these (if you have any left, if not you're scewed because forge is fun that way) Make a grid (you probably already tried this), if your problem has nothing to do with water it may be that you tried making the object when your cursor was placed out of bounds (see line 1) putting your rotation snap to 90˚ (in the B menu) will let you use 'width' and 'depth' to easily snap two objects together. Some work on 45˚ but putting objects at lower rotation snap angles will make syncing them with any other objects harder with coordinate editing. To help with this i like to get the 'height' coordinate down and then angle my monitor facing vertically, this makes the the control for sliding objects much finer. I still haven't figured out how to tweak height in such a way. Although picking a specific point of ground to place your cursor when first summoning an object, then doing so again will often produce two objects with the same 'height'. Be careful with this because editing the coordinates will choose the closest tenth of a 'height' unit (as well as doing so for 'width' and 'depth').
  20. yeah and imagine the 'forging' potential for 'firefights' with more than 5 AI spartans (vs enormous numbers of covenant [or flood]), or even this kind of thing being incorporated into a vs gametype.
  21. *bleed through has been in every halo except for Reach *nobody was talking about armor lock (that happened awhile ago), also suggesting people should suck it up and play to their abilities kind of contradicts what you're saying *the two vote situation is a temporary situation for gathering polling data that will end in two weeks *you can move people by running into them, try something like "is it possible to allow betrayals after the last man standing is dead, and perhaps vibration when meleeing a fellow zombie?"
