  1. According to an article published yesterday regarding the potential return of 'Family Sharing' Microsoft states it's removal was based off of consumer feedback for other features they needed to make room for and not because of the mindset "...we're going to take our toys and go home", as offered by Xbox One chief product officer Marc Whitten. Read the full article below from videogamer.com. Xbox One Family Sharing will return if consumers want it, says Microsoft Publish Date 15/07/2013 - 12:32pm GMT+1 The feature was removed when Microsoft did a U-turn on its Xbox One policies. When Microsoft pulled a complete reversal on its Xbox One policies, one of the casualties was the much-anticipated Family Sharing feature. But the feature may well return at a later date if consumers want it, Xbox One chief product officer Marc Whitten has told IGN. "If it's something that people are really excited about and want, we're going to make sure that we find the right way to bring it back," Whitten said. He continued: "We believe really strongly in how you build a great experience on Xbox One for me as an individual, but also for my family. Family Sharing is a great example of how you do that with content. I think you're going to see us, both with examples like that and with other things, keep pushing on how that's something great. An example is some of the stuff we're doing with what we announced around Gold, where other people in the house get the advantages of Gold when I'm a Gold member. You're going to see us continue to push in those areas." Family Sharing allowed users to share their game library with a group of 10 friends and family, and was one of few Xbox One features which had people excited. Regarding the decision to remove it, Whitten said it was a matter of making room for the other features consumers were asking for. "We took some feedback and realised there was some stuff we needed to add to the program," he said. "To add it to the program, we had to make room, just from a pure engineering perspective, to be able to get that work done. So taking Family Sharing out of the launch window was not about 'we're going to take our toys and go home' or something like that. It was just sort of the logistics of 'how do we get this very, very clear request that people really want, that choice, and how do we make sure we can do an excellent job of that, get to launch, and then be able to build a bunch of great features?'" Whitten concluded: "You know, if there's anything I think that Xbox 360 has proven, it's that we're super committed to this constant cycle of improving the experience and the software, and it's what we've been doing for 360 for the past seven years, and it's certainly where we're going to go with Xbox One." 3. Insignia will be one of those Legendary members I truly hope comes back on staff some day. His work has defined this forum for a very long time and his membership here will continue on in Legendary status until I get that message from him. He will be dearly missed on the staff. He has been integral on so many projects throughout his tenure and been such a great asset with his creative ability. One of his projects is yet to be seen, but I assure you, it will be well loved by all. Siggy I offer you the sites and my personal thanks for all of your hard work and pray the future brings you the resolutions you so greatly deserve. It is an honor to award Insignia with Legendary membership status! All hail the new Legend!

  7. I've been playing the games since 2006 or so, and I've beaten every game there is for series. I thought I knew a lot about the story and other characters, but earlier today I took a glance at Halo Wikipedia... and I found out that I know only a little about the Halo Universe. Summer is approaching soon, so I want to know what Halo books I should buy and read over the summer.

  14. So, instead of listing the negative things about Halo 4, let’s list some of the positive things you like about Halo 4. It can be from gameplay mechanics to the campaign storyline, and/or the audio production, etc. It’s entitled to your own opinion. One of the things I enjoyed from Halo 4 is the mission Midnight. The best part of that mission for me was the first couple minutes of that mission because I was able to fly around in a ship shooting turrets while maneuvering around avoiding obstacles. It reminds me a lot of Star Fox.
  15. Source-Examiner Mlg was usually In Every Halo, but what happened to halo 4? Sundance DiGiovanni has revealed on Jan. 19 through Twitter that Major League Gaming won’t be featuring “Halo 4.” The Co-Founder and CEO of MLG offered a brief explanation as to why this was the case and then went on to thank the “Halo” community. You can check out some screens from the first-person shooting video game in picture on the top of this article and the comments from Sundance DiGiovanni below (courtesy of MLGSundance Twitter): MLG signed its side of the console shooter deal for 2013. The game in the deal was not Halo. Once deal is countersigned we will announce. I have loved almost every minute of our time with Halo and wish the competitive Halo community the best. It was a good run. Thank you to all the people who contributed to the many amazing "I was there" MLG Halo moments. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. “Halo 4” is the latest entry into the popular video game series. The fourth main title marked a significant change as it was produce by a new development studio in 343 Industries, who has previously responsible for the high-definition remastered port of “Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.” The first-person shooter also signaled the beginning of the “Reclaimer Trilogy” storyline. 19. 343 Industries has announced in this weeks bulletin that they will be shutting down the servers for Halo 2 vista, they said the reason for this is because the population has only been 20 at it's peak. "To switch gears ever so slightly, we’re sad to report that the service end-date for Halo 2 PC Multiplayer will be February 15, 2013. We’ve been monitoring the population for months, and it’s been peaking consistently at approximately 20 players or less. Those that own this game can continue to enjoy Multiplayer over LAN after that date; however our network services will be turned off at that time. We love you, Halo 2 PC, and you will live forever in our hearts" So for those few who still play it try and get in as much games as you can before the lights are switched off and the doors are locked for good. Goodbye Halo 2 vista we love you. View full article

    Halo 5 Rumors

Source-Latinos Post ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We All Know Halo 5 will be a darker halo than halo 4,and it is only the start of the forerunner saga. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Halo 4" was one of the best reviewed games of 2012. The title garnered an 87 aggregate score from Meta Critic and was hailed by reviewers for reinvigorating the franchise. However, developer 343 Industries claims that "it made a ton of mistakes in producing the hit title". On a blog, franchise development director Frank O'Connor stated that "[Halo 4] wasn't flawless by any stretch of the imagination". But by most objective criteria, it was a resounding success. So we know we have a lot to do. And we know we have a lot to learn. But we also know that we now have the capacity, the teamwork, the technology and the experience to do much better next time." He added, "We made a lot of mistakes. We can do better. And we know this, and we will." O'Connor makes no mention about whether the development company has initiated work on the next installment in the venerated franchise but he seems to be excited about the future. "Technically, this should be a retrospective, but it's safe to say I'm more excited about the future than the past. Excited about what this team is already working on," he wrote. "Excited about what this team is capable of. And excited about the future of Halo. A future we want you to be a part of. A future we're building for you." The only real information currently known about the next Halo title is that it will be "darker" than the previous installment. Rumors indicate that the game could come out with the launch of the Xbox 720, but with recent release of "Halo 4," the next title is likely a few years away. Reports have claimed that the title is in "early development."
