  1. The BR is mine. It became my "go to" weapon in H2 and H3 because of it's "fit into most situations" characteristics. Enjoyed the sound, look and feel of it when fired.
  2. What kind of videos?
  3. Nothing for snipers, nothing for swat. No maps......no nothing!
  4. Everyone has had a chance by now to play large number of games across a series of play lists and get accustomed to the TU, Title Update, 343 has implemented on Reach. Should they have left a complete play list for those who played and enjoyed the original version prior to it? What real harm would it have done to have both? Is it truly fair that only those who regularly engage in forums speak for all players? Do you feel these changes, like those in the past by Bungie, will encourage more players to become active in forums? You can vote, offer your thoughts, remember any types of updates applied to previous titles and how they might manage Halo 4 if and when complaints begin to pile up.
  5. I have thought occasionally about this since Halo 2 days. I always come to the same conclusion for myself. The different armors and permutations were always a fun challenge to unlock. They meant so much more to me personally when they were earned by meeting certain requirements. Having the armors offer different features of lets say, decrease a heads shot box and increase the body shot box or jump a little higher or run slightly faster never appealed to me. I have always enjoyed the fact that the original games of the series pitted all players against each other on a level playing field. I hope this continues with the next game in the original series.
  6. I have said this before and will say it again......"I love armor effects!" Buy them, use them and play against me, especially in snipers. There is nothing that brings a smile to my face more easily than when I am scanning through my scope and I see one of the effects giving away a player. I have never once found them to have anything to do with a Spartan. They have always had the feeling of a "gimmick" to me.
  7. I play Halo 3 for the sheer love of the game. I play Reach mostly to stay in contact with friends and the occasional snipers games.
  8. Welcome to the forum Drudge! I hope you enjoy yourself here and take the time to read the pinned OP at the top of the introductions forum.
  9. Donny Doo, try posting your question in Twin's Tech Help thread here. He is pretty good at figuring things out for members.
  10. I have seen some similar information, I will post it below. There are newer reports of something different as well. Xbox 720: To be announced at E3 2012? "Will Microsoft redress the balance at next year’s LA gaming expo? First talk of an E3 2012 unveiling surfaced when Crysis 2 devs Crytek were reported to have claimed that the new console was E3 2012-bound, and that the company was working on a new Timesplitters title for the new Xbox 720. Crytek have since refuted the claims, but BGR now say that they have it on good authority from a source “with knowledge of Microsoft’s plans within the company’s Entertainment and Devices Division” that the Xbox 720 will be announced at E3 2012. They were also told that Microsoft has been working on the new console since 2006, which supports comments made by Microsoft EMEA Vice President Chris Lewis way back in 2006."
  11. Can we play "Marco Polo" and guess, then you respond "Polo" if we are close? lol
  12. The campaign and MM are already playable, they have been for a while. They are simply shaking out some of the bugs. If they felt the weapon sounds needed a rework, they could simply record new sound and replace the track/tracks with a new one easily. By offering a release date, as stated in the trailer earlier this year, it gives the development team an end date to finish the product. The game has been in production for a long time and from what has been eluded to from Frank himself in an interview with bs angel, it is playable right now. Playable enough to show marketing partners and playable enough for release are two different things though. I firmly believe the 2012 Thanksgiving and Christmas season will see it's release.
  13. I have seen some good montages, but that is one of the better ones. Great music, good video work and I have to admit I was laughing out loud at a lot of it. L'homme du bon travail.
  14. I like seeing a good library of tips in the Forge forum. As I have read, I have seen some ideas that were new to me. I am looking at some free slide show and video programs to recommend to those who offer their tips and advice. Some are easier to use than others and upload through Photobucket. You tips are all appreciated.
  15. Yes, it helps to use the best equipment possible. If you have ever watched a Halo tournament, you will notice the size of the monitor they use and may here the announcers explain the equipment/hard ware used to ensure each players view of what's happening is as lag free and equal to the others.
  16. The map has to be submitted to him during the week so it can be looked at for play ability. Most of the numbers in the group range from 14 to 16, so only maps that support those numbers are played by the main group. If the players dwindle down, the smaller maps get played.
  17. The Community Play Date was great fun. We had a long one considering the limited amount of maps and scarce custom games that were available. AgentLofi, since stepping up in Choot 'em's absence, has done a great job of keeping the play dates fun and interesting. His added "Special Treat" yesterday added a new slice of fun to the event. The play date also helped me to become more accomplished with the OP Magnum, though I did bemoan it on occasion, and most of the maps are now very familiar to me. If Biggles had kept out of my way when I was snipping on Timberland I would have made it through the day with no betrayals. lol I am looking forward to the nest one taking place in Halo 3 in a couple of weeks. I will be posting the awards for the newer members that had not participated before. To POO and Shaggy, I know we could have made that one challenge jump if has had a few more weeks of practice!
  18. I have always liked the 1v1 play list idea for the reasons stated. There is always a concern about having enough maps to support the game type, but random MM against other players, I feel, would be very popular. Doubles has long been the best way to show as much individual talent along with the "team" concept. Hopefully the developers have this game type in mind.
  19. I agree and I don't even play the game type. I have seen a number of good forge versions of invasion that could easily be used for the game type and give a little more variety to it. One of our members offered a pretty fun one during our last Reach Play Date. I am unaware of what it takes to convert a map like Highlands, Tempest and Condemned to Invasion, but they seem like the size would work.
  20. I have downloaded it this morning. Had a good time during the Custom play date and look forward to offering more and seeing more maps.
  21. This sounds a lot like The New Infection for Halo 4.
  22. What are you talking about, this is the Halo 4 forum.
  23. It was already posted here in Halo Facts and Rumors and received comments.
  24. This is some of Frank's own thoughts. O’Conner claims that there are a lot of changes coming for the character, both aesthetically and in play, but the game will still feel fundamentally like a Halo game. The first difference we can expect is in how Master Chief looks. “There’s some fairly radical modifications to his armor” says O’Connor. “Some of those are an artistic evolution, but some are connected to the story. We just can’t talk about it yet. He’s been in space for a long time.”
