  1. I do hope they will move back towards the original music style of the first trilogy and reach. I felt like a lot of this sound track was lacking, but a few songs that are up there with the originals is, "117" "Arrival" "Blue and Green". I also loved the update to Never Forget. Although I don't think that was considered a full song on its own.
  2. Probably whn something I want to play on it comes out.
  3. Except the multiple cases where he saves you. And helps forge an alliance that allows Earth to not end up in a galactic ceramic sale.
  4. It wouldn't take much for them to analyze the human language and quickly learn to speak it.. Keep in mind they did encounter humans a long time in the past. While they surely spoke a different language, it's not a stretch for them to easily analyze patterns of speech and adapt.
  5. I think the Spartan he walked past could have been Kelly. Its the right hair style and color. But she didn't seem quite tall enough. Still the look on her face was sort of more "I just saw a ghost" than "A living legend just walked by me."
  6. That was meant to be Cortana at the end of Reach, but that ending isn't considered canon. 343 chose to use fall of reach as their back story.
  7. The remaining covenant could have been composed. The game never clarified, but if it worked on humans and prometheans it would probably work on covenant too. Maybe we'll see Promethean Elites in the next game, lol.
  8. I thought the initial landing on Requiem was pretty breath taking, when you land and go a bit in. You can look over the cliffs and see those defense towers cover the whole area. That was the cover of a book even.
  9. Yeah. I can agree with those points. But that all felt like a minor annoyance and a poor game design element than "RUINED MY WOLE EVERYTHING" It's still the best Campaign Ive played, even better than Reach. And IMO Reach's campaign was probably way better designed. Hopefully they'll cut back on the redundant designs in Halo 5.
  10. For the most part Spartans never even existed until the last few years of the war. So it's hard to give orders to someone whos very existed is classified. I like the Chief's attitude. He knew what he had to do, and he did it despite what his command thought. lol He didn't really show authority at all. He lost his cool and ended up screaming out of frustration. I expet more from the Captain of the biggest ship in the galaxy. Personally, I want to know more about Captain Del Rio. Why? He clearly seems to harbor a resentment for Master Chief. I want to know why he does. I think there was probably a bigger picture to this. Maybe his son was a marine that was killed in Halo CE. Maybe his wife was an officer aboard the Forward Unto Dawn.
  11. I doubt Halsey will ever give that up either, as it becomes pretty well establish the guilt she gains later on in the novels. I guess we'll start to see depending on how far they are going to take Spartan Ops. I still haven't finished any of the Episode 3 Missions yet. I do hope that they include real Spartans again. If the next game is to be the Darkest Halo Game (or is it trilogy?) we could see a heavy civil war re-surface as one aspect of it, and probably some enemy which does manage to consume Earth, probably a returning Didact. I hope so too. I can agree to Spartans having some personality. To the level that we saw in Noble Team was fine. But these ones just sort of ruin what makes Spartans special. I actually grew to like Masterchief More in Halo 4. Despite that I've been playing Halo since I was 11, he was never a favorite character of mine and even at some points I found him dislikeable. For the sole fact that he wasn't really a character until this game. 343 was lacking in some areas of this game (mainly MM!) but they really did it way better than Bungie did in terms of Campaign and bringing the story to life. It'd be interesting to see if any of the Spartan-4s would pick a fight with him the way that the ODSTs did in Fall of Reach.
  12. Don't have a problem with how it ended. I would have prefered to see some of the other Spartan-IIs to greet him at the ending however. I think Kelly, Fred, and Linda are all alive still. Maybe not Linda.
  13. After watching that very amazing opening cinematic to Halo 4, I can't help but feel there was more significance to the shadow man talking to Doctor Halsey. That is, more signifcance beyond "Chief and other Spartan-II's are sociopathic machines." Which honestly, I feel is just an objective statement that is hardly true. While playing Spartan Ops and Halo 4, I've noticed the very lacking of Spartans in the Spartan-4s. They basically all seem like a bunch of over grown marines and ODSTs. In History, Spartans were very silent, as they saw to incoporate austerity in all things including speech. Note the first Spartan Ops episode, the only thing that told me these people were super soldiers and not freshly enlisted frat boys was their armor. It certainly distracted from what made Spartans feel special throughout the first three games, and Reach. Which leads me back to Dr. Halsey's interrogation. Whoever that man was at the beginning was trying to probe deeper into Dr. Halsey's mind. He already knew what she had already disclosed. How many times do you think her reports on the Spartan II program had been read? How many times had she been already asked the same questions by other officials? He's not interested in what he's been told. He's interested in what he hasn't been told. Probably something important that was key to making the Spartan-II's the most efficient of all of them. I believe that in some way the recreation of the Spartan-II program will play a part in the next game. Or maybe the next two.
  14. I had an interesting experience this morning in Match making. Whilst playing Dominion I noticed I got killed by the same sniper over and over. After awhile I noticed he only aimed at one spot, which was the front access to Bravo in Exile. The one where you have to jump up on those platforms and such. What was weird was he was making his shots when he couldn't even see me through a bunch of small spaces and through some foliage blocking any portion of me. He was also firing multiple shots, missing but then landing a headshot. Then I got annoyed and decided to go and kill him. After all, he had just deprived me of an assured assassination. That's when I hopped on a ghost, blew through Alpha's defenses. I get a lock on him, he's reloading his rocket launched (he misfired twice, into walls.) I get up close. Ram him! Wait, I rammed him right? No. Despite that my ghost rammed right into him on both his screen and mine, I literally went right through his body. He's now on the other side of the ghost, hijacks and kills me. I know there are glitches on the Kill cams but I can tell the differences. I'm pretty sure this guy was cheating in some way.
  15. between 2013 and 2015? I bet they'll aim for a launch wiht the 720. But only roughly a year of development is dangerous! Of course they've probably got at least a years worth of development already in it. They were planning for a trilogy so it wouldn't be surprising to know a decen portion of halo 5 is already done.
  16. lol. If you're good then you don't need a number to prove it to people. They'll know you're good when they are looking at their corpses and asking "WTF JUST HAPPENED?" The reduced skill gap makes it worthless these days anyways.
  17. Personally I don't care either way. Sure it'd be cool to see his face. But at the same time it's kind of like Rorschach. He is his armor, just like Rorschach is his mask.
  18. I don't feel that Del Rio lacked character. I think there was a lot of emotion from him. Mainly "What's this guys problem?" I get the feeling by his statements he harbors a personal resentment for the master chief, in which I would have loved for them to explain WHY. I dislike their portrayal of Captain Lasky. He was built up nicely in FUD, and then? Halo 4 Lasky is nothing remotely close to that. At the end of FUD I felt like he was a hardcore, comitted soldier. At the end of Halo 4 I felt like he was a Happy Go Lucky guy who got a good job in the Navy. He doesn't feel like he fits into his role as Captain, but he does feel like he fits into a friend of the Master Chief. I just hope that 343 can decide which one he is or, if both make him feel like the man he seemed like in Forward Unto Dawn. I just didn't see him as the cunning leader that he was portrayed as when we first met him in the Live Action Series.
  19. I actually believe that if Cortana does come back she won't be rescued, but rather the rescuer. In the final moment of the last body she showed tremendous capability, n where I believe she actually formed a functional body purely from the light bridge. (I assume she protected the Master Chief by also forming an encasing around him until the blast of the HAVOK mine was through.) Who knows what Forerunner technology she could have linked to in those few moments to preserve herself. Or where one of her many rampant copies ran off to. I have a feeling she'll probably arrive at the end of Halo 5 and invariably save the day. Probably with a body of her own. It's also possible that she could find some way to bond with the Librarian similar to a Forerunner Brevet Mutation. Which I also have to note, I don't believe we've seen the Bornstellar Didact either. He'll no doubt end up being a positive force in one of the next two games.
  20. Sam would have already been dead by that point. Sam was dead pretty much a few hours after the Spartan-IIs got their armor. I wish they would have done more with Kelly and Fred. As by the end of the last episode I was thinking, "You were like 20 feet away while they tumbled around with a hunter and you didn't help them!?"
