Yea pretty much everyone I know who plays this game thinks the kill Cam needs a serious fix. Its very inaccurate.

Actually a lot of us really like this game. I love it, but having no real ranking system and the absence of competitive and social playlists (which have been standard in every Halo game) is a big disappointment for me. So I'd like to express my opinion in hopes of 343 bringing these features back. I still think the game is dope! I love the game play. The graphics are sweet. I've been really enjoying it, BUT I miss the ranking system from Halo 2/3 and the social/competitive playlists. This is what made Halo so addicting in the past. Winning a close match was such a thrill at higher levels. I never made it to 50 in anything. Closest I got was a 46. Not reaching 50 was no big deal. I wasn't but hurt over not being the most bad ass Halo player out there. Its fun to see where you place among the community. I'd argue (besides the gameplay) that's what made Halo such an addictive shooter in the first place and what set it apart from every other shooter out there.

Threads complaining about vehicles being to weak... threads complaining about vehicles being over powered. *sigh*

Not really a source. Theres nothing there that says they wont bring any classics back, unless I'm missing something in that link. Why not bring a few back? From a design standpoint it would be faster than making brand new maps, which they seem to have pleanty of.

^This! All you guys saying it should be based off more than a win and loss ratio don't make any sense. In professional sports all that matters is winning. Yea, you might get paid more for your individual stats, but its a TEAM game. Last year Kevin Durant was the leading scorer in the NBA, but his team lost the championship. Their team didn't play as well collectively as the heat. You can argue all day about stats and whoa better than who, but at the end of the day its all about who won the game. This attitude of reward me because I played well, doesn't make sense. All those stats are already tracked and you are rewarded for them via the progressive system that's already in place. Winning and loosing. That's what's important. Its the whole point of the game. If you want to be judged individually then FFA is where its at.

I agree man. I think the game is dope. I'm having lots of fun with it, but the playlists are broken... The removal of competitive and social playlists for me is a massive failure. Where the hell is assault? I miss this classic game type. Storming a base and planting a bomb with your teammates was such a thrill. BTB is only slayer now, and while its fun, I wish we could have more 8 v 8 game types. Bring back competitive and social playlists! And bring back the true skill ranking system. This progressive invisible true skill thing is just a mess. I don't get it. I feel like its the exact same as BF3 or COD (which actually has a ranking system now! WTF!?) Those were such awesome features about Halo's MM and now they are gone.

Yo, put the halo reach disc in your Xbox, problem solved. Honestly you cant be that big of a halo fan if you're already giving up on this game after a week. I will agree with you on the weapons disappearing too quickly. I also don't like that there is no friendly fire on BTB, but I'm sure there are others who like that change. To me it just doesn't make sense... it feels like a social game type, but we're being ranked. I'm so confused by this new hidden true skill ranking system... that's the biggest let down for me. Online play just isn't as addicting now, but its still fun. Anyway, haters gonna hate.

Yea, I meant true skill. Like Halo 2 and 3. Ok so this "invisible" rank that's going to become a number on Waypoint is their new solution. Right? That means I'm currently being ranked now on these "competitive lists"? I don't know what to call them... I guess the current playlist. But what am I being ranked on? I don't get it. Even the new COD has a rank system... wtf is going on, my world is fragmenting!!! Anyone play star craft? That is the cream of the crop when it comes to the best current online ranking system. Oh and the SR rank is pointless. Just look at my service record online to see how much I play and its down to the exact second. Thanks for the pat on the back with those SR points. Do I get a gold star on the wall too!?

How is a rank system based off of winning no fun? What the hell!? That's the whole point of any competitive game! To win with team work. KD ratio is nothing but a stat. Any of you guys watch basketball??? Well Durant was the lead scorer last year, but still lost the championship. KD should be nothing but at stat.

Thank God you are not in charge of any professional sports. Your logic eliminates team play... which in my opinion is the whole reason I play Halo. Damn I miss the old days... aging sucks.

343 please bring back true skill ranks online, in game. Don't leave it in way point. Even the new COD has a ranking system... wtf is happening to the game industry!?! What is going on? Someone please tell me a took a bad hit of acid.

But that's exactly what we are saying. We want scrimmage games (social playlist) and we want the real season (competitive playlist). The OP mentions KD spread as an example, but It's all about the win/loss. He has roommates, as do I. Which has obliterated my record overall because of the absence of a social playlist which used to be standard in Halo 2 and 3.

Im having the same issues with the kill Cam. Sometimes it works, other times its just very inaccurate and frustrating. Especially when you want to know how the hell you were just killed and it shows some jabronee shooting into a wall. I like the new feature though! Just wish it was more consistent.

Good, the banshee needs something to fear on that map. Without the mantis, good pilots will dominate.

I'm getting laggy games too and I'm in the US with an optimal connection...

Does anyone else feel like the Promethean grenades are, well... lame looking? I miss the spike grenades, those were so cool! Also, I feel like the large scale explosions in this game are just bad looking... I'm let down. Anyone feel the same? Thoughts?

I feel like 343 says a lot... Matchmaking seems designed to get you in games fast. That was the default in Reach. I'm sad they took stuff out of this game instead of improving on it. Well, I guess removing armor lock was nice.

I feel your pain man. 343 failed hard on that aspect. I hate to say it, but it looks like we'll have to deal with disappointment. They've said nothing regarding social and competitive playlists, which to me, means they are gone forever.

See, I still have a huge problem with this... correct me if I'm wrong, but, This means the rank isn't in game. How many of you actually use halo waypoint? The only thing I've ever used it for is watching videos like forward unto dawn. It seems like adding it to waypoint is the easy solution to the rank issue. Why not just put it in game like every other halo? I don't consider way point part of any halo game, If it was, then I shouldn't have to exit my game to look at it. Anyway, so we're all currently being ranked? Then the rank system comes out and things are the same? Why did 343 get rid of social and competitive playlists? Without these my interest is fading...

My issues with Halo 4's MM: 1. No ranked playlists. Everything is currenty social. Bring back social and competitive playlists. The ranked playlists are what made the multiplayer in the previous games so incredibly addicting. I could care less about these "points" that don't really mean anything besides a pat on the back. Please bring the rank back and make it visible in game. Don't just put it in Way Point. Right now all rank shows is how much you play the game, which I think is lame. What makes you want to get any better if you just keep leveling up? And if I want to see how much you play the game, I can do that, and down to the exact second if I view your profile in MM. For me if this doesn't change, I'll loose interest in the game. This one factor is why I've always liked the MM in Halo. It's why I've lost interest in other shooters and always come back to Halo. They had a great skill system and instead of improving on it, its just gone. This was incredibly disappointing for me. None of the games I play keep me on the edge of my seat. I really miss that feeling. 2. No BTB objective play list! Assault was by far my favorite BTB match up and its gone. So disappointed. Bring it back! Along with one flag, 2 flag, and territories. Please! I can't believe this was missing at launch. It's was standard with 2 and 3. Those two issues are my biggest concerns. But I have more, lol 3. Number of playable Maps 343, first I want to say, I love your new additions, but right now it doesn't feel like there are enough maps. Easy solution, well from a design stand point, bring back the classics! I'd love to see maps like: Lockout (Blackout) - my all time favorite Beaver Creek Ascension Burial Mounds Ivory Tower Headlong Relic Sanctuary Terminal Turf Zanzibar (Last resort) - my all time fave BTB map Construct Ghost Town Guardian - miss this one! Reminds me of Lockout High Ground - my favorite halo 3 map! Snow Bound The Pit Standoff Rats Nest I really enjoyed those maps. I know I wrote a bunch of them, but those are all solid maps that any halo vet and newcomer should enjoy. Even bringing back some maps from Reach would be cool. 4. Joining mid game. This feature is awesome, but not for ranked playlists, which are missing... see #1! 5. Customizing MM search and Lag Where did this feature go? I miss searching for matches with good connections... latley I've had lag in almost all my games. It doesn't last the whole match (sometimes it does), but I've noticed brief instances of lag and it's detrimental to gameplay. My Nat is open! I'm plugged in to the router and I have optimal settings, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I know its the first week, but I hope this issue disappears. I could write more, but I think that covers the gist of it. I left gameplay out. 343 I want you to know I think this game is awesome! The first level blew me away and I like a lot of the changes. Halo 4 was off my radar because of Bungie getting acquired by Activision. But now I think the Halo franchise is in good hands. Listen to the fans and support the online community as much as bungie did and you will gain/keep quite a following! Keep up the great work guys and gals! Its nice to have Master Chief back!
