  1. ^ ^ Actually the Fall of Reach and Halo Reach have been merged as one by Bungie. So here is what happened with both of those being combined. warning a lot of writing. By 2552, many of Humanity's Inner colonies have been destroyed by the Covenant. In a move of desperation, ONI Section 3 orders the execution of a secret plan to capture a Covenant ship using the Spartans. The ship would be taken to the Covenant home world in order to capture a Prophet and then use the Prophet as a bargaining chip to negotiate a truce. Every remaining Spartan-II - with the exceptions of Gray Team, Kurt-051, Jorge-052, Maria-062, the original Red Team, and Black Team - boards a specially outfitted Halcyon-class light cruiser known as the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, which is under the command of Captain Jacob Keyes. The Pillar of Autumn moves out towards the edges of the system to make a Slipspace jump to begin the mission. This plan, however, is interrupted when a massive Covenant fleet of 314 ships enters the Epsilon Eridani System. Captain Keyes orders the Pillar of Autumn back towards Reach, but John-117 convinces him to allow the Spartans to continue their mission by finding a damaged Covenant ship to capture and take to Covenant space. Reach's fleet, with about a hundred ships and twenty Orbital Defense Platforms on hand, engages the Covenant fleet, but takes massive losses. However, the Super MAC platforms manage to repulse the initial Covenant assault. The Covenant return and land troops on Reach with the objective of destroying the generators for the Super MACs, the only things which are stopping the Covenant. At the same time, the UNSC realizes that the UNSC Circumference, a Prowler, is still docked at a station orbiting the planet of Reach just before its fall and has not initiated the Cole Protocol. John takes Linda and James to deal with the Circumference, while the rest of the Spartans are sent down to the planet to defend the MACs' power generators. John's team crash-land their Pelican on the station which the Circumference is docked on and move towards the NAV data. However, James' thruster pack is hit by a Needler shard and explodes, sending James flying uncontrollably into space, where he presumably dies. John and Linda proceed to the Circumference, where they find Sergeant Johnson and his Marines, including Jenkins and Bisenti, also fighting to wipe the data. With John's help, the Marines are successful, but Linda is shot by five separate plasma blasts. The humans fall back to the Autumn; Linda is clinically dead because of the extensive wounds she receives, but is placed in a cryotube in the hope that she can be resuscitated. John then puts himself in cryosleep shortly afterwards. Doctor Halsey then contacts Pillar of Autumn and tells Keys about the fragment for Cortana she still has and how it could save humanity with the data it has ( on the Halo rings ) Keys agrees and takes the ship back into orbit to a dock near castle base to wait for Noble team and to make much needed repairs on the ship. Noble team soon arrives the fragment of Cortana is delivered onto the ship before it escaped back into orbit. The surface of Reach is overrun. The Spartans who John sent to the surface are presumably overrun and all slaughtered. Without the generators, the Super MACs fall silent and are destroyed by the Covenant, who soon begin glassing the planet. The remaining UNSC ships are almost all destroyed in the battle as they try to escape. Meanwhile the Pillar of Autumn, manages to break though the Covenant fleet as Cortana plotted an exit vector in compliance with the Cole Protocol, though not completely at random. She now joined up with her fragment from Noble team had decrypted Forerunner glyphs found by John-117 on Sigma Octanus IV. The NAV coordinates led the Pillar of Autumn to what the Covenant had been searching for: Halo, an extremely sacred Forerunner artifact. The ship then goes into slip space towards installation 04.
  2. You could always get a pre owned copy. And to be honest it is a lot cheaper and works about the same. Anyway..... if you already have the all the dlc and the game then what is the point of buying it again? It is the worst of the last gen remasters because apart from visual wise, that does not put it on par with pc even still, it is the same game. Take Gta V one of the best examples of a next gen port had it makes use of the next gen hardware. For example: Animals in Gta online. Denser traffic . More diverse character models. New single player missions. Bigger drawn distance. Upgraded visuals. First person mode. New easter eggs. Better framerate. Smoother textures. and this is just from the top of my head, There may be more. And then compare this to Sleeping dogs.... and it falls flat. If you really like Sleeping dogs that much then fine with you, I hope you enjoy it. But for anyone else just get a 360 version and save yourself the money. The problem is why I cannot get my head around this idea is because it does nothing to attempt to upgrade the game in anyway. When Tomb raider definitive edition was announced I was all over it left and right. But comparing even that to Sleeping dogs it is much better.
  3. ^ Um... Original thread post: So..if Halo 5 was to bring back old maps from Halo 2-3 era, what sort of maps would you like to have featured in the game? Your post: Well, I would love to play in one of those maps! Even in campagin, maybe. See how they are almost nonrelated?
  4. Berry..... You didn't even look at the topic did you? Wolnope. Anyway onto the topic at hand. Fine, one or two. A Midship remake is already confirmed. Or at least I think that is what the map is called. Personally I think 343/Bungie have been milking their ability to remake maps. We need new maps, for the first of the true next generation Halo games. So I hope these new maps become the new generation of classic Halo maps, like Midship or Blood gulch. Now on what other map should return? Eh I don't know since we have one small map how about a big one? I don't know many Halo map names but im going to say that big snowy one in H2/H3. Nice to have a change from the Blood gulch remakes.
  5. ^ ^ COME AT ME! jk Well I sorta am. Update wise Halo 4 was a disaster, updates came out too slow.
  6. ^ My nerd raged Halo rant will never end MWHAHAHAHAHA! Just to clarify, I have no anti Halo agenda...... I still like Halo and after playing Destiny the thought of Halo has brushed me closer into getting an Xb1. Anyway.... It was question not me claiming it.... but from what I can tell it was not intentional..... but still 2 years for achievements. And I suppose because I said that this leads onto a major thing H5 must have. Better updates/faster. H4 updates came out too slow such as weapons balancing and this. I mean it took them till July 2013 to fix a major issue in the game. And by July the game was largely dying. So updates like that need to come out faster. Caboose out!
  7. ^ Im not sure if that will violate the site off site policy rules. So just to be on the safe side. http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/37956-halo-the-master-chief-collection-achievement-list/?view=getnewpost < A news article on this site about the Mcc achievements.
  8. I took 343 this long to fix broken achievements? Crimson came on in December 2012. So it took them almost two years to fix these achievements. I mean this is awesome they finally did but it took them long enough.
  9. Chief considered him contained at the very most so I don't think he is dead. Do you really think 343 would kill the Didact off in awful comic? I don't think so he will return in H5g.
  10. Still.... 38 pounds.... lets round that up.... At my local game store I can get Sleeping dogs for the 360 for 5 pounds. < true Then all the dlc for an additional five. < True So that is 10 pounds compared to 38 for the Ps4, Xb1 edition. So minus the visuals they are the same.
  11. What do I think of it? Well, 2014 so far until Shadow of mordor arrived has been a total mess ( game wise ) full of unfulfilling hype trains, downright dodgy advertising. Broken games, crazy promises etc. Not too great. But the worst of all of those were the last gen remasters. Now some of them are sort worth the money or make sense to buy them or a truly next gen. Examples: Gta V, Resident evil 1, Last of us. But then comes the downside, Tomb raider fraud edition. But Sleeping dogs definitive edition is the worst. Why you ask? Because all this game is, is all thee bad dlc and updated visuals for 60 pounds. Can you really say that is worth the money? When you could pre order/ get other great games like Gta v, Shadow of Mordor, Halo the mcc,Last of us. To name a few. There is many better deals in gaming right now than this outright cash cow. I mean if you are dying to play Sleeping dogs go get the original on Pc, 360 or Ps3 get all the dlc for a heck of a lot cheaper. And there you go minus the visuals it is the same game.
  12. ^ ^ Well 343 will be adding new playlists over time so there is more Ce playlists to come. And not presume that it will have terrible pc maps, weapons etc because you don't know.
  13. ^ Well that all depends if the 1 to 50 or something of that sort comes back otherwise there is no point of social.
