It has been too long since the last chapter. So here we are, not as long as I would like but it is still here.
Any feedback would be appreciated. ( Also I will spell check this again later ) Chapter one: The motion and the warrior
The Droid squad was engulfed in a blur of green motion. One by one the Droids fell, being sliced into pieces by lighting bolt speed and precision. The entire squad was reduced to nothing but scrap metal within seconds and the motion quickly moved onto another squad of Battle Droids already closing in. The motion charged at the Battle droids, green blade held high, it utilized Soresu as more than a dozen blaster bolts were rapidly fired from the Battle droids blasters intent on scoring a kill. But not a single one made it past the motions refined blade work. The motion then slipped into Ataru and flipped over the Droid squad as fast as a small Teek and landed perfectly behind the unsuspecting Droids. The Droids programming failed to keep up as the motion made a vertical slice at the four closet Battle droids heads, slicing them clean off, before the remaining three even turned around to face their opponent. But even if the Droids did not know it the motion did, this fight was over before it began. The motion then finished off the squad of hapless Battle droids with Shii cho in a similar fashion it did before, lighting bolt speed and precision. This was Nimans greatest gift, adaptability.
Niman, the Way of the Rancor, the Moderation Form, and the diplomat's form was the sixth form of Lightsaber combat. Originally created by Jedi who though Shii cho was incapable, Ataru, unreliable and Djem so was unimaginably too close to the Dark side of the Force. They decided to make their own offensive form. Taking bits and pieces from all five current Lightsaber forms they created a jack of all trades style, Niman. A master of Niman could open a fight with the Acrobatics of Ataru, flipping faster than the eye could perceive. If that failed a master could fall back on the precise grace of Makashi to compose himself before heading back into the fray with a Djem rage, and if that failed Soresu could hold your opponent off long enough while you geared up for another Ataru fueled frenzy. It allowed you almost infinite options in combat, attack and defend from every angle and that is what made Niman so great.
As the motion prepared to face the incoming reinforcements of two additional Battle Droid squads it felt something nearby in the Force. It needed to not turn around as its sharp hearing heard a blade ignite from behind. The motion had been expecting this, this was the motions former Padawan the warrior. Blade to blade they were identical after thousands of hours in Lightsaber sparring they knew each other better than brothers, and more intimately than lovers. They had become the complementary half’s of the single Jedi. The motion and the warrior were inseparable; they could no longer see their lives without one another. The motion and the warrior soon found themselves back to back reflecting and defecting blaster bolts back and forth at the seemingly relentless Battle droids. They were a perfectly integrated unit. Augmenting one another’s strengths and countering their weakness.
But the motion and the warrior were just names to describe these two acclaimed Jedi generals. As the dust of the battle began to clear these two Jedi were revealed. This is Jedi knight Lucas Ventar and his former Padawan now a knight herself Meetra force. Survivors of the first and second battle of Geonosis. Veterans of the campaign for the planet Ando Prime. And experts in the planet wide siege for the Separatist world of Daalang. This inseparable pair had been though it all. To hell and back, though thick and thin and they were in the end both better for it.
“Reminds me of the battle for Cado Cato neimoidia Lucas” Meetra said as she almost effortlessly reflected the latest blaster bolt with her blue Saberstaff from the many Droid squads that were beginning to form a circle around the two Jedi. “Well we all know that was Cody’s fault” “No, Lucas it was Anakin” “Well that is a matter we can debate later Meetra” Lucas added. Their lightsabers seemed to blur together, Green and Blue became one. The Jedi worked harder, faster as the seemingly infinite number of Droids tightened up formation around the two Jedi. Five shots, ten shots, fithteen shots a second. Their defenses fell into pieces. Suddenly out from nowhere sizzling hot bolts of Blue cross fired against bolts of sizzling hot Red. They came from all directions; one by one the droids fell against the heavy barrage of blaster rifle fire. It looked almost dazzling from Lucas perspective. The attackers then took the fight to the Droids themselves. Extension cables were fired at the ground from the high buildings above. The battlefield got even more intense as the Jedis saviors were revealed. The Clone troopers of the Galactic republic.
