  1. This is what halouniverse said about this picture "A few hours ago, it leaked online a fantastic artwork by Halo 4 representing a new Multiplayer/Spartan Ops map, which however do not yet know virtually nothing, except some possible detail due to its appearance. The map, of generous size, and that has some human structures, seems to fit the frenzied clashes Big Team Battle that Halo has always been accustomed. Furthermore, since there are no mountain ranges scattered in the middle of the arena game, you can expect the use of aircraft. I propose to follow the artwork, stay tuned for updates." Write in the comments below what you think this map may be and if its Multiplayer or Spartan Ops.

  4. Notice that the jackals in these images are a lot more fierce looking, also their heads are more thicker and buffer were as before their head structure was a lot more thinner and their mouths were longer and had a "Beak" like structure. There is a real major difference with the Halo 4 Jackals. Here are some images of Jackals from previous games just to give you a better view of the differences they have.

  10. Here is a comment Frank O'Connor replied to Louis Wu regarding Quick time events. We have seen some quick time events in video, trailers and vidoc's, such as the Chief climbing over some scaffolding/ wreckage, prying open door and the part where the Chief throws an Elite over a ledge. But the the questions is do we control those quick time moments or do they happen automatically like they do in Reach? Here is the comment Frank O'Connor gave: "I would point out these moments are rare and only happen during events that are things you can't normally do physically. The first level has a couple of them to "train" you, but they won't be frequent or presented as QTE problems. They're transitional or cinematic vignettes that don't yank you out of the action. Also, if you don't smash that Elite he tosses you down the shaft". Original Link to Frank O'Connor's Comment Here

  12. This appeared in a video of an interview with Josh Holmes (Video Below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00_EyaZpbsU&feature=player_embedded During the GameSpot Campaign interview, after the Campaign demo the game returns the main menu giving us our first look at the animated backdrop. As is the tradition with the trickle of Halo information we've been getting, it leaves us with more questions than answers. There's quite clearly a Halo in the background there, I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that Halo 4 contains a Halo, but it's the first we've seen or heard about one. There's also an absolutely ravaged planet that looks like it's been hollowed out.. I guess it could be Requiem, but it doesn't really look like it..

  15. The other day GrifballHub held an interview for Halo 4 forge and they answered some questions. What new tools can Forgers look forward to in Halo 4? "We have added a variety of new tools to the Halo 4 Forge feature set that we hope will become productivity enhancers for the creators amongst you. Two of them are: Magnets – All structure pieces now have “magnets” attached to them. When the magnet system is turned on, this will cause pieces to automatically attract to each other. This makes it significantly easier to line objects up correctly. Duplicate Object – You can now duplicate the object you are targeting at the press of a button. Combining this with magnets makes it super quick to build out objects that use the same piece (for example, bridges"). What options are available for Player Trait Zones? "There are a ton of options (and too many to list!) but here are a few of them: Shields and Health - Zones can be created to modify damage resistance, shield multiplier and recharge rate, etc. Movement – Zones can be created where player movement speed and jump height are greatly altered. Player visibility – Zones can be created to affect player visibility." What do you think is the most innovative change to Forge in Halo 4? "We’re excited about the Player Trait Zones. We have been playing with these for a while and have come up with some really cool levels. But we know that we have only scratched the surface and can’t wait to see what all of you can do with them!" Has Forge been made more approachable for novice Forgers? If so, how? "We have worked hard to make this mode more accessible for first-time Forgers. The two largest changes are: D-pad menu – When in Monitor mode, a D-pad menu now appears in the corner of the screen. This menu is contextual and changes based on what the player is targeting. Players will now be able to use the D-pad in a variety of ways, and we think this will make the interface more intuitive for new Forgers. Targeting enhancements – When you target an object in Forge, it now highlights based on its state and there is a small window below the object that tells you its name. We are hoping this will make it easier to select objects and know what kind of object you are holding." What options are available to players to give their maps a unique look or feel? "The big change in Halo 4 is that there are now three Forge environments instead of a single Forge World map (each of these environments is different in terms of aesthetic and geographical theme). Outside of maps, all the ways to modify aesthetics in Reach remain in Halo 4 – lighting, special fx, etc. as well as an expanded palette of Forge building pieces." Will the Grid be making a return as a placeable object? "Yes. The grid will be placeable in the three Forge environments." Will the coordinate system be coming back? "You bet!"

  18. On forbes.com there is a new article on Spartan Op's with Frank O'Connor. Here is the article. For gamers, November 6 isn’t just Election Day. It’s the day when the Halo Nation get their collective hands on the long-awaited Xbox game, Halo 4. But gamers have even more to look forward to than the continuing adventures of the Master Chief and his ethereal AI sidekick, Cortana. 343 Industries will also be releasing the first segment of Spartan Ops, one of ten “episodic co-op adventures” (like a TV series but streamed via your Xbox). The episode sets the context for a gameplay mission. In other words, after you watch the episode, you can actually play it to continue the plot of the episode you’ve just seen. But you don’t just play one adventure per episode. You play five. According to 343 franchise development director Frank O’Connor, “Each week, we’ll introduce five [emphasis mine] 10 to 15-minute missions that continue the story of the UNSC Infinity.” That’s a whole lot of Covenant-killing action—and that’s in addition to Halo 4. (Spartan Ops is free with the purchase of the game, although Halo 4 will set you back $59.99 or $99.99 for the limited edition.) Even though Spartan Ops will be released the same day as Halo 4, Spartan Ops is actually a sequel to the main game. But rather than further the storyline of the Master Chief, the series will follow two Spartan squads, Crimson and Majestic. That way, Spartan Ops will keep spoilers to a minimum. O’Connor, however, offered tantalizing tidbits: “The story of the UNSC Infinity intersects with the Halo 4 campaign, but continues on through Spartan Ops after the events of Halo 4. The UNSC Infinity plays an important role in Master Chief’s adventure, and while Spartan Ops is separate from Halo 4’s campaign, don’t be surprised if you periodically cross paths with the Chief. “In the first episode, you’re going to find the Covenant is doing an archeological dig and has discovered an ancient artifact. You don’t know what it is, but the Covenant wants it, so that’s good enough for you.” The “you” O’Connor refers to is a Spartan supersoldier (either male or female, your choice) that you can personalize with “a new armor modification system that introduces gameplay-enhancing customizations for the first time in a Halo game.” As you progress through the game, you unlock more, presumably more awesome, gear. You can go it alone, but O’Connor said that single-player gameplay will be difficult. However, Spartan Ops supports “matchmaking,” that is, the game “will find you three other players at the same state of the series as you are, so you can play it together and hopefully make some new friends.” (And everybody needs friends who would kill for you, even virtually.) Will any familiar voice actors make an audial appearance? O’Connor said, “We have a couple of actors in the game we haven’t announced. It’s not a star vehicle, but there are great journeymen character actors in the series.” Sounds like a terrific way to introduce and develop the Halo storyline. Heck, it sounds like a terrific way to create a whole new form of entertainment and media delivery. But are these daily episodic missions really only fifteen minutes each? “The gameplay is as long as your friends are cooperating,” said O’Connor.

  20. Credits to Teh Spearhead from halo waypoint for spotting this. In "The Magic Behind Halo 4" video there is a part where it show a piece of script and we can see Tomas Laskey saying the words "Doctor Halsey" and I think we can see the words "E HALSEY" twice Here is a screen shot Teh Spearhead made you might want to zoom in to see it clearly. https://dl.dropbox.c...2661/Halsey.png
