This will not be the 'every day' Legendary announcement as The Director is not your every day kind of guy. Just for the record, he is held in high regard by Jester and I. With that said......I will give you The Director I know. As a small boy he was so homely and uncomfortable to be around that his mother had to tie chicken bones around his neck just to get the dogs to play with him. That is how we first met, growling eye to eye over a bone. He soon learned that a quick wit, great sense of humor, integrity and honor would allow him to overcome his childhood disabilities and after proudly serving as a Marine was ready for membership at 343industries.org. He unfortunately left these new found traits behind and after receiving 2 post bans he bribed his way onto the Moderating team and was soon digging up the dirt only his fellow moderators to stay in power....and it worked. He reigned using fear, blackmail and witchcraft to satisfy his deep, dark lust for power. We found his weakness after nearly a year of terror filled control. His childhood teddy bear was recovered and used to lure him away from his power base and return him to his peaceful, childhood self. Now I am sure you asking yourself why would he tell the dark truth about The Director instead of talking about his trumped up record? Would it really matter if he did have a "Did You Knows for 343i. and received 182 responses.Do you think anyone could believe he had an OP named "Halo Did You Knows" that had over 380+ posts? Who in the world would believe he created a thread called, "Ask The Director" that received 1426 posts? Does anyone actually believe the picture below is his picture in the 343i.org Yearbook? Is he really as smart as he appears or is it all well researched answers? Funny........he probably gets them all from "Joke of the Day". Integrity? He probably can't even spell the word. Honor, who here really thinks he even knows what that stands for? Director you have my respect and I know you are a man of honor and integrity. Your quick wit and sense of humor is well known, even caused me to blow milk from my morning cereal through my nose once. I first knew you from your initials, AAN2, and having gotten to know the man behind them was great fun. I think I liked every single post you made. When I joined, you were the Forum President, and I thought "Man, that guy must be worthy of respect". And indeed you are. The only member that can be overwhelmingly funny and extremely serious at the same time. Wise and helpful with every single member. You deserve to be Legendary. I, as sternus said, thought of director as a God when I first started on the site. But slowly I started to realize that this man had an incredible ego. Spectral Jester Posted September 18, 2013 Report Share Posted September 18, 2013 Another one of the Originals bites the dust and heads to the dusty corner of 343i.org which is called Legendary The Legendary Member status is starting to live up to its title 'Legendary' First Mayh3m now the Director, 2 members that have earnt and deserve the title of Legendary, I dont look at this as he has joined me in the status of Legendary, but I have joined him in the title of Legendary. Director or AAN2 always brought a smile to the forum, with his wisdom & knowledge (his words ), along with his massive ego!!! All these made him the kind of person it was hard not to like. He's also probably the only person ever, to have taken a ban a posting ban not once but twice with a smile on his face. It always has and always will be a pleasure to know / have known Director I was asked to do this announcement post, but declined, as I could not put into words what needed to be said about Director, when it needs sayhing loud and proud no one is better than AD at that. This guy and I were roomies in the Mod forum for a while. He was the party animal most of the time... but I won't go there. He and I both joined the team at the same time and both had our different ways of Moderating. It was great to serve with you 'D'. Welcome to paradise! We have all the beverages your heart could desire, from a hardy brewed ale to a simple soda, we have what you will be looking for.... as well as a long buffet filled with foods from all across the globe. The Director has not been here for some time and is no longer a Moderator. Ok now that that's out of the way.... DIRECTOR. There are few members, and I mean very few members, that have the incredible charisma that you do. When you direct, people WANT to act. Even before you were a Moderator you were one of the most looked up members on this site being the first non-Staff member to reach 1000 likes. Director: Animals make any sound you command them to no matter what breed they are. Google uses you to search when it doesn't know something. When a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, you do. The Dos Equis guy wants your autograph. You are, the most interesting member of this forum. One of the people I looked up to most on this site when I started, this induction into the Legendary Member Hall is long overdue and so I bow to you . A title. A legend. You have been a friend to me and more, Dear Director. There is not much I can say, other than that you have my utmost respect, and always have, and always will. In the end, though, you can never truly be replaced, except for by yourself. I can only congratulate you, and wish you the best (although that seems oddly self-serving). You and I are similar, yet different. We share a name. And you have brought great honor to that name. I wish you luck. All of the replies had me rolling with laughter, especially AD's story about my moderatorhood. He left out the part where I broke the forum for 10-20 minutes when my ego hammer was first trying to acclimate to it's new environment. And to answer Zelda's question, I still have my Ego Hammer. It's just in need of some R&R from all of it's use while I was a moderator. lol I know I've been away for a long time, and even though I'm back to semi-active that's not really going to change in the coming months. I've got a new apartment, new job, new girlfriend, and new hours at the aforementioned job. Not to mention that business just picked up in a BIG way (and if you pay attention you can probably guess what it is I do now), and I'll be pulling 10-15 hour shifts for the foreseeable future. Which means I can't get on the forum at work anymore, and might not be able to every night, as I sometimes have to do that thing called sleeping. In short, I enjoy all of the times I've had on this forum and I can't wait until I can come back and enjoy it fully again. P.S. Jester, of course I was smiling.
