Halo 4 will have 9 maps at launch +3 maps in 3 different maps packs for a total of 18 maps, that is pathetic. 3 maps per map pack is such a rip off, each map pack should have 5 maps. Absolute Dog Posted August 17, 2012 Report Share Posted August 17, 2012 Halo 3 was shipped with 11 Multiplayer maps and received DLC each time in 3 map increments. I may have had an additional 2 maps in the beginning and an additional DLC, but I see no reason to be so upset when Halo 4 is shipping with Spartan Ops, which will have it's own unique set of maps, and a myriad of features that Halo 3 did not have. Since forge is in play, and there is a history of including player content to the play lists, the maps election could end up be very deep. And if not, there can always be forge variants made by the community that are put into matchmaking. That's 3 more, 19 maps is plenty and they never said H4 would only be getting 3 map packs, they said if you get the LE yo get the FIRST 3 map packs for free. Noble and Defiant only had 2 multiplayer maps and 1 FF map. Halo 4 will have 10 maps not 9 at launch. With 3 3 pack map packs for a total of 19. Those are legit non-community made maps. It is expected that 343I may have a map you probably wont want to play on but thats still another 17 maps that are fun. A better map generator would also help, playing the same map over and over again gets very annoying especially in Reach, like what TallGeese said, poor maps with more grey then a winter sky. If they put their heart and creative minds into maps that can give a new experience, well they will have no problem.
