In Halo 4, what will you use as your utility weapon the Battle Rifle or the DMR? We know that they are both 5 shot kills, and that the BR is better at close range and the DMR is better at long range. I think both are equally effective at mid range, I personally prefer an assault rifle at closer ranges to the BR so I would use the DMR, but that's just my opinion. So go ahead and speculate! OT: I'm really not sure which I'll end up preferring. I like the DMR for its single shot, but the BR just feels so good to shoot. If the weapons are done well and the DMR does indeed become more useful at longer ranges than medium and close range, I'll probably end up choosing the BR. Absolute Dog Posted August 16, 2012 Report Share Posted August 16, 2012 If the weapons shoot the same as they did in their respective games and run the same magnification on their scopes, I'll definitely run with the Battle Rifle. That said, after seeing what the Magnum felt and shot like in HCEA on the Reach engine, I doubt the BR will feel or shoot like it did in Halo 3. sneakylilchief Posted August 18, 2012 Report Share Posted August 18, 2012 dmr is like my wingman. works with me almost all the time, br not as much. sure you can be pretty skillful with the br, but the dmr is more effective for me. and now that both are in the game i will be choosing between the two weapons a lot but i will definietly start with dmr and lol the first time on a poll the dmr wins. Heck, if I can get the chance, I'll just carry both around and randomly switch between them. ikr! genius! and it would especially work for people who play tactical more often, preferable taking cover more often. like when you out of ammo switch to the other and then reload both when your in cover heres how i'd use them: Jetpack? dmr. hologram? br. camo? dmr. hardlight? dmr.
