StraightUpGM
Why doesn't 343 add options to that let's you view assassinations and driving vehicles in first person? They could make it by default third person but have a setting for it. It would make it more customizable then ever. That's an improvement in my opinion. Tallgeese
Either make it so that you can choose first person or thrird, or make it able to toggle while in game.
SatanicBagels
I view 3rd person as being much better for driving vehicles than 1st person.
Jestermeister
While 3rd person works fine for the most part, the option to turn on/off 'first person vehicle' and/or 'first person assassinations' would be a cool and simple little addition.
SykoWolf
If driving was in first person it would decrease situational awarness. The same goes with first person assassinations, because atleast with it in third person you can see whats around you.
DoctorB77
As long as it is an option I am fine with it. FP assassinations sound fun.
SykoWolf
FP assassinations would have to be sped up to stick with the flow of the game. So that would leave an unfair avantage over the slower 3rd person assassinations.
RedStarRocket91
First person in vehicles is a bad idea as it severely limits your field of vision. Even assuming most of your screen wasn't taken up with the front of the vehicle, you'd still have a much narrower sightline and it would be much harder to work out where you are in relation to other things. For passengers, it would be much harder to aim and acquire targets as from your own perspective everything would be moving much faster, and again you'd have a lot less situational awareness. As for assassinations, having them in first-person defeats the point of having the animation in the first place. Just do a regular melee if you want a kill in first person: what's the point of doing an elaborate, extended kill animation if you can't see it?

SykoWolf
FP vehicle driving in a warthog would be too rough too. The suspension alone would make your screen jump really bad, so driving would be too difficult.
SatanicBagels
While driving in 1st person would be very hard... I think it would be pretty cool to shoot from the first person in the passenger seats. Imagine the possibilities. The Renevant and Warthog would instantly become mobile sniping platforms. That would be so fun.
Ryu♥Hayabusa
While 3rd person works fine for the most part, the option to turn on/off 'first person vehicle' and/or 'first person assassinations' would be a cool and simple little addition. Not simple to add, however. Adding Elites to be playable if they are not already playable in forge and custom games is a huge addition. Same for toggling first and third person modes. I still wish for it to be available as an option. Maybe I like to shoot in 1st person in the passenger of a hog? Or maybe I'd like to gun in first person? SatanicBagels
I think that RedStarRocket91 hit the nail on the head with a massive 50 lb sledgehammer with this one.
Furi0usGeorgeX
first person driving would be good for machinima purposes or race maps, but it would be very unbalanced in matchmaking. but i think 1st person assassinations would be badass
Tallgeese
Yep RedStarRocket91 said it all...if its an option I suppose thats fine, but if not...NO...fp for driving and assassinations is a bad idea.
EliteSniper
If fps driving is enabled, how could you possibly see in some vehicles like the scorpion, wraith or banshee? Like Battlefield 3 style? It would be cool, but again it limits your vision.
A Fhaol Bhig
You guys forget that driving or being in a passenger seat in first person looks a lot more cool and fun. Also battlefield has the perfect solution, one button click, third person. One button click, first person. It's really not that hard to include both. Ac7 oN ImPuLs3
I do think 3rd person is better for driving but I think that being in 1st person would give a whole new great experience to the game.
N@han FloreZ
Anyone remember the first person in the halo CE warthog shotgun seat? The aiming was so terrible, the only way to rack up kills was to get a rocket luancher and blow yourself up.
ςHϵΑƨϵMΩηεTΞr
Driving would be hard but I'd like to have first person assassinations
Fail Master
Having the option would be cool. i dont think i'd use firstperson for driving or assinations though
iTz Vplus2
First person view in vehicles wouldn't feel like Halo anymore to me. And it would decrease your ability to see what's going on around you. So a no to that. First person assassinations sounds like a better idea in comparison to the driving. But when i look at the idea alone, why would i want a 1st person assassination? I think Bungie made a good job with the assassination animations and Halo 4 did too from what i've seen so far. And i want to be able to enjoy seeing those without having to jump into a theater lobby first
Lord Takaa
Interesting idea for vehicles no lie. Driving a warthog in first person would be pretty intense. But for assassinations ? Eh Im good, I enjoy it going into 3rd person. If anything first person would take away from it.
