  1. I did some of the H2A multiplayer achievements, some of the Easter egg multiplayer achievements, and all of the ones on the campaign level "Metropolis" but they aren't unlocking. What can I do to fix it? Does it need to be updated?
  2. I have made Two Variations of the Classic Halo 3 Custom game: Fight Night. For those don't know what fight night is, it is pretty much just a Free For All Game Mode where Combat is just melee all the time. (Although you can start shooting if you get bored. Yes this game goes by Honor rules.) Everyone has very low health and will die in one Melee hit, or one Plasma Pistol Shot. Trust me, it's a lot more fun than it sounds typed. Both Versions are recommended 8 players max, but Honestly, you can have as many as you want. This game mode was probably the most simple Forge thing to ever make. I just wanted to make it so someone didn't have to waste time making their own. One Variation is the nearly identical remake of the Classic on Halo 3's Guardian. Not much has changed. The Boxes are there just to slow someone down from getting out of the map. That's the exact way Halo 3's map was, so I went with what I remembered. Even if you got out there, there's nothing much for you to do, on account of me deleting everything out there. Ignore the Diarrhea colored Elite Punching The Other Version is Pretty much the exact same, but within H2A's Sandbox, and with a different aesthetic to it that I built. I call it Fight Night: (Even though it's not Night) Under the Highway. Also in this version there is no escape, unless you want to team up with someone to jump on their head to explore. Although once again not much out of the map except for the Vehicles on the Highway. I hope you enjoy my Map. The Game modes and Maps are within my file share. My gamertag is EVOL SPARTAN II. Two i's, I hope you enjoy, and tell me about your experience if you decide to play it.
  3. Hello, I am the clan battle coordinator for SC or Silent Chaos. We are a community/competitive based clan that is willing to do battles in MCC on the Xbox one for halo 2 anniversary, halo 3, and halo 4. We will be up for battles in Halo 5 when it comes out as well. If you are interested in setting up a battle; message me on xbox live. SC Lt oddy Note: We do not play HCS, MLG, etc
  4. In H2a's ost, we got alot of remastered songs, but there were also alot missing and i was wondering if anyone is able to get them. Songs that I noticed were missing right off the Soundtrack: 2nd part of Cortege (Sacred icon suite, plays during the cutscene where the arbiter is being deployed at the sentinel wall) along with the last 2 minutes 2nd part of Ghosts of Reach (Percussion) Unyielding Dust and Bones Finale Epilogue Along with some ambient tracks: One Way Ticket (Regret) Commons Area B1 7 (Cairo Station) Beyond Hope (Cairo Station) The Courtyard (Outskirts) Halo Theme Scarab Mix (Metropolis) The Heretic Flees (The Arbiter) Cable Tower Ascend (The Oracle) The Final Cable (The Oracle) Heretic (The Oracle) Trapped in a Postcard (Delta Halo) Helium Queen (Delta Halo) Submerged (Regret) Falling (Sacred Icon) Confused (Sacred Icon) Entering the Quarantine Zone (Sacred Icon) The Arena (Gravemind) Subsume (High Charity) Gravemind (High Charity) Destroyers Invocation Choir (Tartarus Boss Fight) If anyone can get these tracks, that would be amazing! Crossed out tracks are tracks that have been found and are on Youtube.
  5. Microsoft has released PC drivers for the Xbox One controller today, the announcement came from Xbox Live's Major Nelson. Gamers can now use their Xbox One controller to play games and use apps on their PC by downloading the required drivers(available on Major Nelson's site). Major Nelson also stated that they are planning to release the drivers in a Windows update in the near future but gamers can get early access to it today. A micro USB cable will be required as it does not support a wireless connection at the moment. Games that currently support the Xbox 360 controller will be compatible with the Xbox One controller. Now on to the conspiracy. In the announcement of the Xbox One controller PC drivers on Major Nelson's site there is a picture that shows the Xbox One controller that is connected to a Surface Pro to demonstrate the new functionality of the feature and it has the Halo 2's main title screen on it. See below. Now this could be solely for demonstration purposes to show of the new feature but with the cavalcade of rumors and "hints" over the past number of months many might take this as another nudge towards Halo 2 anniversary being in the works. So Is it? It does seem suspicious that they are using Halo 2 in that image and not an image of one of their recent products such as Halo: Spartan Assault considering it is the latest Halo game out right now and the fact that it is available to play on PC and Windows devices. Is this another nod towards a Halo 2 anniversary or is it just an innocent act? Anyway I'll leave it for you to decide, leave your thoughts on this news below. Source: majornelson.com
  6. Over on IGN Max Hoberman, Presdent of Certain Affinity, revealed the final map for Halo 2: Anniversary: Warlock (though we knew that it was one of the remakes already). The map, now known as Warlord in H2A, features a brooding green atmosphere reminiscent of Shatter from Halo 4, but this one seems to be a little creepier (2spooooky4erryone). Screenshot of Warlord. H2A's Warlord is a remake of Halo 2's Warlock, and that map is actually a remake of Wizard from Halo: CE Aside from minor map tweaks (adding more cover, stepping stones to higher ground, fixing weapon spawns, and color coding bases for Multi Team) the map has not been changed dramatically. Max Hoberman does say that a Sentinel Beam (which has increased damage compared to Halo 2's) now spawns in the center of the map, and acts as one of the map's power weapons. The visuals have also been increased dramatically (obviously). It is unknown whether or not Warlord will feature a dynamic element. Warlord Map screenshots and concept art: IGN then revealed the new names for some of the remakes. Now we can see the full list of remakes + their respective new names (there are only 6 maps in H2A): Warlock (Warlord) Ascension (Zenith) Coagulation (Bloodline) Sanctuary (Shrine) Zanzibar (Stonetown) Lockout (Lockdown) IGN will be hosting map walkthroughs of all the H2A maps with Max Hoberman in the coming weeks. The Warlord walkthrough, and gameplay vid (of Team 343i vs Team IGN) is in the link below. *Halo 2: Anniversary is contained within Halo: The Master Chief Collection: which launches on November 11th in North America, and November 14th in the UK.* - - - - - Thoughts? 8. 343 Industries and IGN have shown off the introductory cut-scene to Halo 2 Anniversary as part of their IGN First program! Halo: The Master Chief Collection is in it's final days of processing and is nearly ready to reach our fingertips, but until then I have more footage to entice you. A channel on thankfully reuploaded the footage from a stream showing off the cinematic opening to Halo 2: Anniversary, redone with stunning visuals from Blur Studios. The opening is for the mission Outskirts and the full mission was shown off on the aforementioned stream, which I cannot get a hold of unfortunately. The video features the infamous Scarab in it's Halo 2 garb, New Mombasa, Sergeant Johnson, and the Spartan himself, The Master Chief, all in gloriously redone visual style. Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases on November 11th, 2014 for Xbox One only. View attachment: MC.png Does this cinematic intro do the original justice despite being redone; or do subtle changes turn you off? Sound off below! I appreciate you reading folks!
  9. If you were excited for the Coagulation remake in Halo 2 Anniversary, Bloodline, than I have an awesome picture you'll love to see! Coagulation has been one of the most hyped up reveals in Halo 2: Anniversary, with scant details and no pictures but one of concept art surfacing, that is, until now. Halo4Nation.com posted the picture, and Hell Verruckt linked me to it, so thanks Hell/Self Destruct! Clearly there have been changes from the last iteration in Halo Reach, the map tone is truer to it's Halo 2 counterpart with a gritty brown colour palette. As well, a new addition to the bases, a glowing blue or red spire on top of the bases, has been added. There is also a strange formation to the left, and a blue light emmiting from an unknown source in the back of the blue base. It is likely that this is a still unfinished variant of the map, as there is a lack of vehicles and weaponry, and what seems like a barren terrain compared to the concept art. View attachment: halo-bloodline.jpg Are you displeased with the new look of Coagulation? Let me know below! Thanks a ton for reading!

  12. The new forge that is available in Halo 2 Anniversary is quite remarkable. A new feature, known as Movement Snap, will revolutionize the way we forge. Movement Snap combines the ethics of Coordinate Forge and Magnet Forge. As a result, the forging process is a lot quicker. Because of this, and the 650 piece budget, forge maps are becoming a lot larger than before. It was only a matter of time before Hybrid maps boomed... Hybrid maps: "What are they?", you might ask. Hybrid maps are, at the core, large competitive arena maps. They start out as small arenas, and then you build on them with Big Team Battle essentials. These Hybrid maps may feature vehicles, balanced weapons and spawns, and diverse map control. Because of their size, a two-players-against-one scenario is unlikely, unless you enjoy standing out in the open. I would consider Halo 4's "Complex" to be the first great Hybrid map. Hybrid maps are not for everyone, and it shows with the reception of Halo 4's multiplayer modes. So what is the difference between a Big Team map and a Hybrid map? Well, a very difficult question to ask with an easy answer. Let's take a look at Halo 2's "Coagulation". For the most part, the open area is the center of the action, and is equidistant from the bounds. Notice how the open area can surround the base, and yet the base is very close-quarters on the inside. Hybrid maps, on the other hand, use open areas passively. The center of the action is in the close quarters arena setting. Another look at "Complex", shall we fancy? Players gravitate AWAY from the open grass and to the structure, while in "Coagulation", Players gravitate TOWARDS the open mounds. Right now, I am working a new Hybrid. I started by trying to combine the symmetrical halves of two symmetrical arena maps of mine: "Breachport" from Halo: Reach, and "New Pacific" from Halo 4. I ended up adding a new floor on the bottom that not only connects the two halves, but creates an outer ring that goes around the map. It was on this floor that I decided that I should add a couple vehicles, and at that very moment, it became a Hybrid map. I don't believe I'm only one expanding on my old maps: There are many cartographers who stuck around to witness and become inspired by Halo 4's method. With Halo 2 Anniversary's lack of sprint, and the subjective of an Assault Rifle as a power weapon, I think this style of map design will warrant many players less "Headcase" medals. It is a good time to be a cartographer.

  15. IGN posted an in-depth look at the Master Chief Collection with a list of "Bonus Facts", one of them a quip on the Halo 2: Anniversary Resolution. Frank O'Connor assured not that long ago that 343i was doing everything it could to get H2A to full 1080p, but was unsure whether or not they could achieve it in time. The new information shows that his worry is now the case. Blur's H2A cinematics look so real, that it's scary (hehe) In the BF (Bonus Fact... there's literally no other way to describe it) 343i Executive Producer Dan Ayoub told IGN: “During development we were really pleased with the way the engine and buffer allowed us to switch instantly between classic and Anniversary engines that are running simultaneously – however that, as you might expect, put a hit on resolution." "The campaign of Halo 2: Anniversary looked fantastic at 720p with the level of detail and clarity it gave us, but like every other aspect of the game and tech, we wanted to push it further. So in the last weeks of development, our teams were able to meet a stretch goal and the campaign of Halo 2: Anniversary now runs 60 fps at a crisp resolution of 1328x1080, which is a significant and meaningful boost in image quality we think fans are really going to appreciate. All of the other games across the entire package of The Master Chief Collection run 60 fps at 1920x1080 native.” So the final resolution for both the H2/H2A Campaign is 1328x1080p, and the rest of MCC runs at 1920x1080p native. Side Note: Dynamic Elements (like the stalactites of Lockdown) can be removed in Forge Before the resolution revelation IGN posted a few facts about The Master Chief Collection that were unknown at this point. Here's the near-full-letter quote of the list: There is no confirmation yet for Pre-Loading the MCC. Halo 3 and Halo 4 make use of the Xbox One controller's impulse triggers out of the box. Halo: CE and Halo 2 may have that functionality added in via a game update shortly after release. The Scorpion tank is in the Coagulation Anniversary remake, but you have to turn it on in Forge. In classic Halo 2 multiplayer, the Ghost's fuel tank could be shot, causing the Ghost to explode. This is also possible in the Halo 2-emulating Xbox One engine that runs the six Anniversary maps. 343i states - "We had to get Havok to recreate aspects of the original physics code used for Halo 2,". Halo: CE Anniversary's Kinect features are not supported in MCC. Halo: CE's multiplayer maps are the PC versions of the maps due to resolution, but their settings, such as spawn points, are set to make them play exactly as the original Xbox versions (i.e. the Banshee won't be on Blood Gulch). - - - - - - - - - - - - Thoughts? 17. Surprised this hasn't been posted here yet (from what I've seen at least). Walkthrough Gameplay Bloodline pays homage to one of the most iconic maps in Halo's existence, but it manages to bring the best of all iterations and add a bit of character we have yet to see from the simple "two bases in a box canyon" setup. Such features/changes include: Altered rock formations, pillars, and weapon placement Removal of Coagulation's lowest level, but maintains/adds more ways into each base Hornet (replacing the Banshee by default) spawns behind each base, similarly to Valhalla/Ragnarok Teleporters have been replaced by dual Man Cannons, also hearkening to Valhalla/Ragnarok New structure towards middle of map, labeled in the HUD as the "UNSC Training Base" Additions of new sandbox elements like the Gungoose, Suppressed SMG, and Assault Rifle Removal of Scorpion tank (although it can be added in Forge) The addition of two (presumably Forge-able) antennae that, upon activation, release an EMP that halts all vehicles within a certain radius of its respective base

  21. I am very curious. I can't imagine why 343 wouldn't upgrade Halo CEA to instant swich unless it is somehow not possible, or if it went completely over their heads. (Instant switch, of course, meaning the graphical switching ability from new to original instantly; featuring in Halo 2A) If you have an answer, please inform me. Thank you.
  22. Recently a few screenshots of Avatars in the Player ID of Halo: The Master Chief Collection were revealed on Halo4Nation (which I'm thinking they got the images from PAX). The above image shows Avatars: Halo 2 & Halo 3 Arbiter (I'm assuming), Jul Mdama, and SGT Johnson. The Player Emblem seems to be on the right of the images From what we can see the Player ID consists of: - Emblem & Color Customization - Avatar - Service ID (I think like B312, N00B, or B00) - Clan Tag - Roster Nameplate. UPDATE: Another screenshot of Master Chief Avatars from Halo4Nation, and updated Cortana/Palmer screenshot. In the spoiler below. 23. Man, it's good to be back here. You guys are probably as caught up as I am, so I'll make this quick. At E3, 343i confirmed that Halo 2 Anniversary "will be getting the full anniversary treatment" (notice the emphasis on "full"), so at first, we thought, "So they will do six remastered maps with a brand new engine and then have the classic and remastered versions of all of the maps, right?" WRONG!!! As it turns out, to my surprise, Halo 2: Anniversary IS the six remastered maps on a new engine: There is no retextured version! What kind of next generation experience is offered with only SIX?!?! That's not my point, not even close. The point is, that means that we can reexperience only six different locations, and the general poll question is... What are the six maps? Well Certain Affinity has confirmed Coagulation and Ascension, so that leaves four maps. Oh, and future people, I won't update this when others are announced, but the common I see is... > Ascension > Coagulation > Zanzibar > Lockout > Midship > Ivory Tower But the two main maps that I think that were EXTREMELY UNDERRATED in this case were Burial Mounds and Waterworks. Now, I played the hell out of Zanzibar and Lockout, so there is no need to remaster what is already in-date. So the list should go like this... > Ascension > Coagulation > Midship > Ivory Tower > Burial Mounds > Waterworks Yes, there is something attractively misleading about the title, but I've got nothing to write! No multiplayer statistics (courtesy of Bungie), nothing! Good thoughts, everyone!
  24. According to Halo Follower on Youtube, Frank O'Conner has stated that they are having troubles getting Halo 2 Anniversary campaign to run at 1080p. He states that it is due to running 2 graphics engines at once and allowing for the instantaneous switch between OG H2 and updated graphics. While I would prefer to have it at 1080p, it isn't a huge deal. He says that this is not affecting the MP, only the campaign. What do you think about this?
