  1. I'll just let this new game mode idea spark some conversation: Multi-Team Infection. Think about it
  2. I don't care if it doesn't go with the lore; I want them back. 343i probably didn't put them in because didn't want to recreate another enemy. If they really want them back, then they can modify the story to make it work.
  3. For the past few months, all I've heard people say is that Halo is turning into Call of Duty. What does this really mean? No, I'm not referring to new CoD-esque additions such as Ordnance or Specializations (which indigenous to CoD)--I'm talking about what makes Halo stand apart from CoD: the former is a different experience every time; that latter makes you wonder why you even pay for the latest game when it's basically the same thing as before. The giants behind CoD have found that the majority of people wants the same elements that made a game really good. So they keep the sandbox, make a new Campaign, up the graphics ever-so-slightly, and add some new weapons and overpowered kill streaks. The stewards of Halo, on the other hand, significantly add on to an amazing universe, make the previous games' graphics look as if they were drawn by a toddler, add amazing new elements to the sandbox (Equipment, Firefight, Armor Abilities, Forge, Spartan Ops), and even produced a high-quality web series. So why am I hearing so many complaints, such as: "Why is the Battle Rifle a five-shot instead of a four-shot like in Halo 3?", or "Why isn't the ranking system the same?", or "Why aren't there more map remakes?", or "Why is the Plasma Rifle gone?". Granted, some of these are justified (the Storm Rifle was supposed to show that the Storm are independent from the rest of the Covenant). But 343 was commissioned to create a Halo game; that means add a whole ton of stuff to diversify the gameplay so people won't just be playing the same game as last time. So imagine their surprise when they were flooded with complaints that Halo "isn't the same anymore". IT WAS NEVER THE SAME. (sorry for the caps lock there) The whole point about Halo is that you get a different game every time you buy. If you want the same game over and over, go play some CoD; they're good at being repetitious and monotonous like that. On a side note, I do agree that 343 needs to keep some elements that made a Halo stand out. The trick is to balance the "classic Halo feel" and the promise of new, diversified gameplay that makes us come back every time. A while back, I posted a thread in which I listed some ideas for Halo 5 that would better the franchise. It's not all of the things I want in Halo 5--a lot of those would ruin the game. I want what's best for Halo. Anyway, the thread is entitle "Most Promising Ideas for Halo 5". Check it out, and...peace, I guess.
  4. If you want a game with elements from Crysis 3...go play Crysis 3. The thing I love about Halo is that it's its own game. And don't even start about how Halo is turning into CoD.
  5. Microsoft is always trying to make more money. They pressured 343 to make Halo 4 more like other games so more people would buy the game. Halo 5 is going to be the new Xbox's flagship game, which means that Microsoft will rush 343 to release the game right when the new Xbox comes out--which means 343 has less time to make a game even better than Halo 4, which took four years to make--and the Xbox comes out in 2015. So Microsoft will not do 343 any favors. They are in it for the money. 343 is in it for the community, and it's our job to support them.
  6. I'm not too sure about the mixing of Sangheli and humans on a ship--although it would be dynamic, I don't think the humans would willingly follow the Elites' orders, or vice versa. It's tense enough as it is mixing Spartans and humans on the same ship. However, I did really like working side by side with Arbiter in Halo 3, and the transition to the Covenant storyline in Halo 2 was amazing. I would really like to see more friendly (not necessarily friendlier) Elites in Halo 5. This may pave the way for the return of Elites in Multiplayer!
  7. I think she will come back, but hopefully it will be in Halo 6--in Halo 5, I want to see what Arby has been up to the past four years. He will be Chief's companion for the game. If Cortana came back so soon after she died, it would be rather pointless. Think of it this way: she's not really gone; she's just not here right now.
  8. No! Halsey is the best--after Arby and Johnson, of course.
  9. I said I wanted Hemorrhage, but Coagulation is much better.
  10. Where's the "YES! YES!! YES!!!" option? I don't see it.
  11. I posted another thread: "New Armor Ability: Anti-gravity Pulse". Check it out and tell me what you think.
  12. So the basic premise of this AA is you send forth a one-directional pulse wave that pushes objects, vehicles, weapons, grenades, and even people back. You could deflect grenades, splatter people with crates, force the camping noobs of the map, and catapult that pesky Mantis into the ocean on Ragnarok. Theboriginal idea was a telekinesis or zero gravity device, but the former is a bit too much like the thing in Dead Space, and the latter doesn't seem useful. What do you guys think?
  13. Beaver Creek, Hemorrhage, High Ground, Spire, and Harvest. Yes, I know Hemorrhage is a remake of Blood Gulch.
  14. I'm not going to put this idea on the list just yet because even I am skeptical of it. If there is enough positive feedback, then I might add it. ?) Uzi: UNSC secondary weapon similar to the Halo 3 SMG (not a replacement for the ODST SMG, which a lot of people want back). 30 bullet clip, kills in 24 bullets. Fires extremely fast but is very difficult to control; is only useful at short range.
  15. I agree with BaconShelf. It would be really cool for the first couple times you load the game, but it would soon be come a hindrance. It also might be disorienting for new and old players alike.
  16. Why have Halsey as a replacement for Cortana when you can have a new Cortana as a replacement? I do think Halsey should be involved, but Cortana is a clone so there can be another one made.
  17. Go to YouTube and watch Insanmiac's video "Forge Talk - Custom Games and their Decline". He explains why Halo 3 was so fun for so long and why Halo Reach and 4 quickly made people lose interest. I really can't say it any better than he does.
  18. A Spartan weighs about 400 pounds, so swimming isn't a good idea. I would, however, like to be able to use water in Forge rather than be killed upon impact.
  19. The price on armor is a really bad idea. People shouldn't have to do something they don't want to (e.g. get destroyed in War Games) just to unlock their favorite armor. Ranking up should unlock some armor, but the majority should be gained by doing achievements in Customs, Campaign, and Matchmaking.
  20. @BaconShelf the EMP 'nade you described reminds me of the Power Drainer from Halo 3. Maybe we could toggle from grenades to equipment on the D-pad and put Bubble Shield, Power Drainer, and Regen Field in their rightful place. This just might make it on the list.
  21. Halo: CE was a pretty good, and it was one of Bungie's first games. Halo 2 improved the sandbox and is still played today. Halo 3 improved upon the previous games even further. Reach definitely had the coolest sandbox: jetpacks, Armor Lock, a whole world to Forge on...but people said it "wasn't Halo". Now look at Halo 4: it was the first game 343i had all to themselves--Bungie had made Marathon before Halo. Halo 4 is better than Halo: CE in so many ways--don't deny it. So I am confident that 343i can make a "much better game", especially on their second time around.
  22. @HappehNinja maybe because the Brutes aren't around anymore.
