  1. She may or may not be dead. There is many ways to bring her back without making the comeback too unbelievable. But as said it would still sound like bad writing. I was thinking if Didact did not die part of Cortana may have escaped the nuke within his armor. In any case I'm pretty sure 343 isn't stupid enough to first kill important character and then bring her back in the next game. Sacrifice would not be sacrifice anymore. Besides now 343 can make a male AI for Chief and make them have a deep relationship. Ha!
  2. I think that Librarian believed that (Ur)Didact could be somewhat reasonable and even help humans even though Gravemind had corrupted him. He still respected them as enemies. I'm not sure about this since if he were huge danger to future humans why she left him to meet them? Maybe the point is that she didn't know that The Domain would collapse with destruction of the precusor artifacts at the time she left Didact in the Cryptum. Normally Didact would be connected to the Domain while in Cryptum but this time there was only darkness. Because of this Didact became even more mad. Edit....I found the exact quote: "I think of the Didact, locked in his Cryptum. If the Domain is destroyed, I have condemned my husband to an eternity of darkness, silence, with only his own rage and madness to keep him company" I think Bear had to make Didact mad because of what 343 did to him in Halo 4. He made a great job making him realistically turn against humans again. Damn I loved the book! The best book I have had to read in English.
  3. I'm not sure. Halo 3 was my first love err... I mean first halo game. I played it a lot with my friends. There were very fun parts like fighting against brute chieftains and large vehicle battles. Halo 4 didn't so many those moments but the story and athmosphere were more immersive and the gameplay was a little better. I didn't like the new enemmies so much.So It is hard to say which one is better.
  4. Maybe not? It can be balanced. The needles may travel slowly, it may not have target tracking or it has less tracking ability than the needler has, the shotgun may be one shot etc... I would like to see a needle tech weapon with slowly flying needles which could be shattered with a few well placed shots.
  5. There seems to be different kinds of shield worlds. Only Onyx is known to be made of sentinels. The shield world of Halo Wars is more like Requiem than Onyx. Check it out . http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Onyx http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Requiem http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Shield_0459
  6. It may not be canon BUT the binary rifle was meant to be used against flood. The infected are quite simple minded and the laser does not help them in any way. Also when your allies see where you are aiming it reduces friendly fire. So it isn't so weird after all and as it has been said it is like that because gameplay reasons
  7. It's amazing how much the story of Spartan Ops is similar to the story of Halo Wars. For example it has an UNSC ship going into Forerunner shield world, Covenant captures a scientist to get Forerunner treasures and in the end of the story UNSC ship escapes a supernova which destroys the shieldworld.

    RE: The SAW

Uhh Why people say "This isn't COD" COD did not invent guns from/similar to real world ones. Come on there are other games using almost same guns /gameplay mechanics etc. I think SAW is good for gameplay purposes but doesn't feel like "a halo gun". In fact all human weapons are a bit boring. Now that humans start understanding Forerunner tech 343 could make more imaginative and unique human weapons.
  9. Spoilers for those who haven't read Forerunner saga Maybe Guilty spark could make an appearance or is it too early? Maybe we see Spark in Halo 5. I would love to see both Librarian and the monitor coming back as the ending of Primordium suggests. Librarian can't be permanently dead yet can she?
  10. Halsey is dangerous as ally and enemy because she does things she thinks are right things to do. She is not brainless slave to ONI or UNSC and that makes her dangerous and great character. She may want revenge to UNSC(we don't know for sure. It may be just a trick) but it will propably help humanity in some way like getting the key half from Jul. In my opinion she is just like in Eric Nylunds books. I haven't read Traviss's books so I don't know about that. Anyway I like how she has now very important role in games too. As for season 2...I wouldn't buy it for gameplay I just want to see the cutscenes. Do I have to watch them from internet?
  11. I just realized that Librarian (AI) died with Requiem. I'm so sad. Please 343 let us meet Thel in the future episodes or I will start crying.
  12. How is it so hard to understand why UNSC wants Halsey dead? Halsey is Forerunner specialist (maybe the best in the galaxy) and knows many UNSC secrets. Halsey has showed she cannot be trusted and it's possible she could help Storm cult to achieve her goals. Trying to save Halsey would be too risky. It is very interesting to see how she will use Jul and for what purpose? I hope she finds a new hand first. She deserves nothing but Forerunner tech of course.
  13. It seems human technology cannot provide AI's which are not total ********* . I would advice UNSC to seek a solution to the problem ASAP and prevent AI's from understanding irony and using bad jokes which might upset at least half of the community.
  14. They gain nothing? Halsey has maybe more knowledge concerning forerunner tech than anybody (human or Covenant)else in the galaxy. Furthermore she knows a lot about UNSC, ONI ,their plans etc... If there is a person who shouldn't end up in the hands of Covenant terrorist cult it's Halsey. Still she could be an important asset to UNSC but maybe they think they don't need her anymore, She is too unpredictable, old, easier to kill than save... We know she won't die because...spoilerz...Reach ending: she comes back to Reach at the age of 97.
  15. Maybe skulls are neither human nor forerunner. Maybe they are just similar to both(like art)? We know Knights are both human and forerunner. Does it even matter? No offense but i have been wondering if your keyboard is broken? Sorry I had to ask. .
  16. The episodes just keep getting better and better! I love how Halsey looks and acts just like I imagined her from the books. Spartans vs elites reminded me of Halo wars Monsters scene and meeting between Halsey and Librarian was pure gold! I so desperately want to know everything... I mean see ep. 10. Don't be so harsh on Palmer. She is a soldier and does what she is asked to do( Something John was unable to do). Thought it seems she has something personal against Halsey and a proper Spartan wouldn't let her personal feelings to have an impact on her. Besides who can hate character who has Commander Shepards voice .
  17. The Forerunner saga is extremely interesting. I like how it describes forerunner society. Forerunners had a glass society and in my opinion one of it's flaws was that equality was not very important for them. Forerunner were not equal and the other species were certainly not equal to them .Forerunners were arrogant but they respected all life. They did not eat meat( Not sure about warrior servants )Eating meat was horrible idea for them but I think it shows how forerunners had lost touch with nature. It would be interesting to know if ancient humans were like humans today. I'm pretty sure they were. Were they like forerunner manipulars? Less intelligent but more diverse, colorful, had sense of humor etc. It seems they did not use mutations same way as Forerunners did since it was said in the book that the machine which was used to communicate with the timeless one was made for (small) human hand. Surely humans had technology to make mutations. Were their AIs more free than Forerunner ancillas which were pretty much slaves( unlike Cortana for example). As for the primordial/ the last precursor. I'm not sure if we can take everything it has said as facts. It could have lied. I may have misunderstood some things since I'm not used to read books in english. I haven't read Karen Traviss books yet but maybe after the third book of the forerunner saga.
  18. They shouldn't make weapon which worked excatly like the sword/(hammer) with different skin. Maybe something which is mix between long range and melee weapon. A Forerunner tool maybe? Weapon could both shoot and had better melee or the melee had larger range. This made me think a new armor ability. The teleporting device which would allow player move like the prometheans. It would make using melee weapons more interesting.(overpowered for multiplayer? Campaign and custom games only?)
  19. I really don't know anything but what I have learned from cutscenes since English is not my first language and I'm always confused who is talking to the radio. From what I know he is interesting. Cortana, Roland, Serina... They all seem to be very sarcastic and crack jokes often. AI's mind is very powerfull and fast and they get bored easily. Maybe irony and humour are complicated social processes and AI's use them to keep themselves thinking and not getting bored Anyway it is interesting how similar the AIs are. Maybe since Bungie and Ensemble Studios already made their joker AIs 343 wanted also create one.
  20. Maybe alliances tech was was less advanced but the weapons might have been still more advanced than forerunners since humans were close to win the war even thought they were weakened by the flood. Other possibilty is that because of forerunners culture and politics they couldn't fight back as well as they could. The skull might not be ancient human or forerunner skull. It might be something similar and recognizable for both. In the end it does not matter since as you said mechanical prometheans were both humans and forerunners and their skulls were propably similar.
  21. IT wouldn't be her. You know that right? If they give Chief new AI I hope it has new look and personality. Though I admit it would be interesting to see Chief meet "Cortana with factory settings"
  22. Flood doesn't have to be gameplay wise like it was before. They could be more necromorph like or something totally different. I hope they return but more scary and interesting.
  23. I found this very interesting. My first thought was "What? Chief is disobeying orders!" I think it was great scene and it showed how John isn't A mindless supersoldier anymore. Spending time with cortana has changed him and he is doing what he thinks is right. It is also understandable that soldier that has saved the galaxy wants to protect only person who is close to him. As Lasky said in the last scene Master Chief isn't just a tool for humanity. He is human too.
