  1. I wanted the Metal Gear games but I just didn't have the funds.
  2. To be honest I was expecting the price to be 100$ cheaper. I don't think it's a great deal considering how old the console is. Soon enough they'll be found in yard-sales and flea markets everywhere alongside PS2's and the occasional Sega Dreamcast.
  3. Halo: Retribution Halo: Reveangeance Halo: Die, Dact! Just take Halo and put a somewhat large and obscure word in front of it and it'd be a believable title, at least for a spin-off. They don't have to start with R, it's just all I could come up with for some reason. The third example isn't actually cool sounding or a believable title, but whatever. I doubt it will be anything but Halo 5, however.
  4. My armor would be sleek, dark, smooth, and low profile. I like knives, pistols, and shotguns, so I imagine that's what a 'spartan me' would have. A bit more close quarters, with a focus on stealth and quick take downs. But I would never be a Spartan I'm just not brave enough. If I was I'd probably be enlisted right now.
  5. I have thought about it, and returned with three separate scenarios. Ironman VS Giygas Ironman VS Ao Oni Ironman VS Slenderman Giygas is an entire dimension in itself, though sentient, he has been driven to madness as all he knows is pain, fear, and confusion. Giygas is completely insane and has near limitless power. Ao Oni is a deformed demon with incredible strength and a big set of teeth that can consume a full grown man in no time. He seems to be from another dimension, and is great at hiding and ambushing. Most of you know who Slenderman is, I'm sure, but Slenderman is one who takes many people, the ones that escape only do so because Slenderman allows them to. Slenderman is depicted having the ability to teleport, and if one looks for to long, or he is to close, they will be under his influence.
  6. A lot of people over the internet seem to like the show. I mean, just look around it's common to find someone with a pony avatar. To me, it obviously looked like a girly show that has no entertainment value, and I'm sure that's what most of the haters are thinking to. Myself, I refuse to think badly of something without first checking it out, so I watched the first 8 episodes. You know by the fact I managed to watch 8 that I must not have hated it, but I will say that I didn't really like it. It wasn't really bad, I don't think, but I found myself bored, and as a huge fan of cartoons, I found myself wanting to watch something else instead. MLP is practically the cartoon of the internet by now, and while I think there are other cartoons that deserve the recognition MLP gets, I don't have a problem with fans of the show or the show itself. Pros: 'Colorful' characters (both literally and figuratively) Smooth animation Good voice acting Cons: (in my opinion) Not actually that funny Somewhat weak episode plotlines Pinkie Pie, and her singing
  7. 1. I don't think anyone dislikes you, and if anyone does that's their problem. You're clearly an awesome person to come up with these threads and even though I know close to nothing about you, you're a-okay in my books, if it helps. 2. The world we live in is a very dark one. Unfortunately, reality isn't just rainbows and happiness, there's war, hatred, hunger, oppression, sickness, racism, New Jersey, and death. Not everyone is a friend, some people live for themselves and will cross others without a second thought in order to succeed. It is this very same selfish mindset so many people have that leads to many problems, and sadly this is a society where these kind of people prosper above all others. It's very unfair and sad, but that's just how it is. Children starve to death in third world countries every day while billions are spent on weaponry used to kill. There's just a huge surplus in death and I'm not sure why.
  8. Grand Theft Auto. What can you say about Grand Theft Auto? There's nothing that needs to be said, it's a game that I could buy without knowing anything about it, and it'll be well worth the money no matter what!
  9. Personally I think it looks like the best Call of Duty yet! (Black Ops is my favorite so far) They're mixing things up a bit in campaign so that the decisions you make effect what happens later, quite frankly that sounds like the ****! And I really love the direction they're taking with it, the whole future thing seems kind of farfetched but that's exactly what I like about it. Who needs realism? I live everyday of my life completely surrounded by boring realism, I say bring on the surrealism! I know it's something a lot of their fans won't like, and some of my friends dislike it for the same reason, but I love that they're taking that step.
  10. I'll keep that in mind, and nice pun! Sure seems like it, thanks! Sure thing Saz!
  11. Thanks for the tips! Would you be speaking of the magical sword depicted in my avatar? :sorcerer: Thank you for all of your replies you're all awesome!
  12. Hey forumgoers! I call myself Stab and I haven't been here very long but I can already tell I really like this community! Much friendlier than Bungie.net. Anyway, I spend all my time playing games, drawing comics, making Youtube videos, playing bass guitar, and FILLING OUT JOB APPLICATIONS! I consider myself an artistic person and I love to create things. Well, that's all I can think of to say, just thought I'd leave this here because I'm new. :3
  13. I haven't been in the forums long but one thing I have learned is that you really seem to like magic.
  14. Look Iron Man is my favorite Avenger but this is just silly. I mean he was almost taken out by Thor in the movie, granted, Thor is a god but still. Iron Man is really cool and awesome, but he's not invincible he's almost taken out several times throughout the movies.
  15. Clearly you spent a lot of time typing all this out. While this is all stuff I sort of knew already, you worded it very nicely and I can respect the effort you put into it. The gaming community is full of... well... I'm not sure what to call them without sounding low, what I'm getting at is that the best way to deal with these people, the best way to deal with anything in life really, is to simply not care. For example people may try to start stuff with you on xbox live, don't ever send messages arguing back to them, that's what they want and in their eyes you've lost your cool. However, when I say 'simply not care', don't confuse that as just block them and ignore them. Maybe that's the more mature thing to do but these filth don't understand maturity, it's simply not enough to do nothing. What you need to do is respond in a manner that lets them know exactly how much you don't give a crap, thus making them feel petty, their efforts futile. For example, in a Call of Duty match (World at War, if I recall) some guy was messaging me that I'm "****" and I "-expletive removed", so I used the xbox camera to take a picture of me posing lying across a chair with a creepy smile and a hotdog in my lap. I sent no text just the picture and waited for what he had to say. I think he blocked me because I sent more pics but he never responded, but i think getting him to block me was pretty much the goal I had in mind anyway so it all worked out in the end. When you do stuff that doesn't make sense people don't know how to respond usually, it's an effective and fun way to ward off people you dislike.
  16. Magic is science that is not yet understood well enough to be reliably controlled and documented by man.
  17. I don't know a lot about science, but I've had this theory that I've always thought about. Time travel will inevitably exist, meaning that the past before us is constantly and rapidly changing. Every millisecond the entire timeline is being changed and re-arranged. I mean, even if only one person in our future went back, it would change things so much that they would suddenly be going back for a different reason, or maybe they don't exist and it's someone else, but either way that alone causes different temporal shifts. Our timeline is under constant change and what you were actually going to be doing only milliseconds ago you aren't doing now because someone changed something up and now you're reading this, you just don't remember it because now your destined to. But as I said there are infinite timelines and in a millisecond you'll be doing something entirely different in the freshest timeline. Just realize you weren't reading this before, and in the future the reason you remember these events, they never actually happened originally, and pretty much anything that did really happen in your life has long been wiped away.
  18. Unless You're very good at sculpting and chiseling I would pay a professional. I think it would be costly, not only would it be difficult to make such an intricate staff, but it would require the use to two large crystals, by the looks of it. Good luck with this though it would be pretty cool if you acquired such a staff. If you wanted to do it very cheaply, you could find a large stick that resembles the staff, and glue an appropriately colored ball to the end. Plastic ball, rubber ball, whatever you have would work. Then you should go around town showing it off and letting everyone know you're a warlock.
  19. I was expecting a CreepyPasta thread. I've actually thought about the first thing a lot, and on some occasions I've felt regret for smashing bugs on instinct, afterwords I give them a quick death, as I know it's the most merciful thing I can do at that point. As for the second thing, I highly doubt it. I'm not an expert, but I know that diseases target specific species, at the most they can only infect very similar species. It's a possibility they get their own version of cancer or illness, but not the diseases that we're familiar with. I'm also pretty sure that bugs don't have the anatomy to get the snivels or cough. I wish you luck with your sleeping problem!
  20. I believe Halo 3 to be it's most balanced at 3. There was cool stuff in Reach, but whenever I'd get cheated out of a kill via grenade spam, armor lock, or both, my rage could only be compared to that of a wrathful god. Half the time I try to dive headfirst into my TV to strangle the *******. He screwed me out of a kill, well now my whole FAMILY is screwed because now I'm so mad I'm going to have to kill them all with a hunting blade! At least with Halo 3 the only time I get that mad is when they rely constantly on power weapons. P.S. ^And that happens on Reach all the time to!
  21. I think Tali is pretty adorable. And for comedic reasons I force myself to care about Mika from Ao Oni. I'm pretty sure that none of you have heard of either the character or game so you don't know who I'm talking about, but regardless she's totally flat (I mean as a character!) and no one cares about her.
  22. There are a lot of games on that list that definitely do deserve to be on the list, just not in the order they're in. There's also games that shouldn't be on that list AT ALL, but that's only because I haven't played them and I'm being biased and unfair. Except for Bioshock, I hate Bioshock.
  23. Mother 3 Red Dead Redemtption and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater had my top 3 favorite endings. Honorable Mentions: Gears of War 3 Halo Reach Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Mortal Kombat Resident Evil 5 And although I haven't played it yet, there's a game called 'To the Moon' that I hear has a tearjerking ending, and some people cite it as an example that games can be art like other forms of media.
