Xbox One will function without kinect

In a recent interview with Microsoft's Marc Whitten hosted by IGN we found out that the Xbox One will no longer to to be plugged in for it to function. After being asked if the console will work without it Marc Witten replied "like online, the console will still function if Kinect isn't plugged in, although you won't be able to use any feature or experience that explicitly used the sensor."  

 

The kinect will still be bundled with every Xbox One which helps cause the price of the Xbox one to be a bit hefty, this has concerned some fans that they feel that they have to pay for something they don't want and won't use. But this news could bring some relief to them as later down the road they could sell their Kinect sensor if they have no desire to use any of the features that require it and getting money back on it.

Great news adam! Now if MS would just make a bundle without the Kinect, I may consider! I shouldn't be tasked with trying to get rid of a device I don't want.

 

MS could potentially create 3 more console sales!

This is wonderful for people who honestly do not want the Kinect. I for one do, only because of the voice commands and possible, improved body movement to in game movement commands. AKA enhanced gesture integration. The manifestation of such paradigm is infinitesimally larger than the exponentially evolved humanistic peon. Indeed this precept is fundamentally beyond the cognizance of any finite mind.

 

I will have to consider the peculiar disadvantages inherent in pontificating at great length on obscure concepts of the Kinect and its plausible and/or intended features. A prioritized statement of which would be fundamentally deliberate to illustrate the fluctuating diversity amongst the initial usage.

 

I will be flabbergasted if they create a more brobdingnagian console than the Xbox 360.

I actually learned that originally the Xbox One did NOT come with a headset. Seriously? The article is definitely worth checking out and as the author and Total_Mayh3m stated, "The end result of all these changes is that the Xbox One is now functionally almost identical to the PS4 in the most crucial ways...it's going to come down to the games, not the features of the hardware."

In all honesty that might be the case they might have signed a contract with the government considering its the one thing they haven't really addressed. Think if microsoft could contract out rights to kinect feed to all the goverments countrys they would profit while we get spied on. In todays day and age it could happen.

If your getting ur hopes up for a Kinect-less xbox one bundle, stop. M$ announced that one isn't coming. Unless intill everyone has paid off there preorders that is.

This is nice to hear especially for people who does not like to play the kinect. I will however, still buy the bundle because I like playing with the kinect
