Beam Rifle Vs Sniper Rifle

Which one do you think is better? Why? I prefer The sniper, for just the feel plus it has +2 more shots unlike the beamrifle that overheats, and can only fire 2, unless you take your time.

I find pros and cons when compared heads up. For sustained and measured rate of fire the beam rifle gets the nod. For a rapid 4 shots down range the Human sniper clearly wins. If I was having a good day sniping, back flipping the enemy with mostly head shots, the Covie sniper would be the chosen weapon. I do like the feel, sound and tell tail vapor trail of the human version, but there is something unique about that alien looking shape with that "freakish" schoosh and light trail it makes when fired.

I gotta go with the beam rifle on this one. Sure, the human sniper has a four mag clip, but if used right you can get three shots out of a beam rifle before it overheats (just gotta wait an extra second before firing your second shot). Plus, overall, it has more ammo than a human sniper. Plus the twang. Gotta love that twang. To be honest, the real reason I'm voting beam rifle is because I got WAY more kills with it on Halo 3 than I did with the Sniper lol

I have to go with the Sniper rifle. One shot to the head and its a kill. or two shots to the torso then its a kill. I just don't like when the beam rifle overheats.

I like the sniper rifle for its power and the beam rifle for its speed and its uniqueness. That's my opinion on them.

I like the beam rifle because it has a little bit shorter delay below shots, so you could get a few more kills by shooting people twice before the jump away screaming OWWW. Human sniper vs. zombies though.

i love both snipers and prefer the reg sniper most of the time but in the actual team snipers playlist i find myself to do better with the beam rifle

Im undecided. Usually throughout my Halo career besides CnR....I never really get the chance to handle a snipe. But I have foind a new love for the Beam Rifle. I cant explain why...but I just seem to have an easier time aiming with it.

Beam Rifle, although it can't pick up ammo, it has a guaranteed 20 shot clip upon spawning, where as the sniper rifle usually has 12 on spawn. Just my opinion.

Like the beam cause there is no reloading if your a good shot, though why not both ? Beam twice let it over heat switch to snipe 4 more shots switch back your beam is ready again.
