  4. Microsoft increasing USB drive space for Xbox 360 storage. Read below for more details Source: gameinformer.com In March 2010, Microsoft allowed users to connect USB and hard drive devices to the console but only allowed a maximum storage space of 16GB. The new dashboard update this fall has increased the size to 32GB. "The more our customers use their profile and download digital content, the larger the file size necessary to store that content and move it between consoles gets," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "Therefore we increased the size of the memory to enable our customers to take more of their Xbox profile with them on the go." This story was first reported by Joystiq.

  6. Hey everyone. So, I have a friend who needs a Xbox 360. I'm thinking of getting him Halo 4 edition. I heard though, that special edition consoles have many problems/glitches. Now, I want my friend to have the best first Xbox 360 experience ever! So, you guys probably got the idea. I need advice and info.
  7. I doubt I am the only person to find this but... I have found a way (on survival) to "create" mossy stone bricks and cracked stone bricks in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Mossy stone bricks: Place stone brick stairs on grass. Break with (I did with a stone) pickaxe and you should get the mossy stone. (I got it everytime) Cracked stone bricks: Place stone brick stairs on a stone brick block, Break with (I did with a stone) pickaxe and you should get the cracked stone (Not everytime for me!) This is a good way that I found to get lots of mossy and some cracked stone bricks. Enjoy!
  8. As a constant YouTuber, I have noticed that their is a couple Halo 4 commercials before any gaming related video. I am yet to see a Halo 4 commercial on public television, an I am starting to wonder if Microsoft is paying their efforts. I am also worried about this low amount of advertisement, for you see, Halo 4 is going to be the biggest game of 2012. On another concern, none of my peer friends at school have said a single thing about the game, probably because most of my friends play Call of Duty: Black Ops and Borderlands 2. I was wondering about your thoughts on the commercials, are they bland, are they annoying, or whatever else you need to give out.
  9. The holiday discount sales expand to the Limited Edition Halo 4 Console. Read below for more details Source: Computerandvideogames.com Fans of overpriced consoles covered in special paint will be pleased to know that the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 4 console bundle will be slightly less overpriced than first expected. The $400 bundle, which includes the custom designed 320GB console and two matching controllers, Halo 4 and a code for various downloadable treats for the game, will be included in Microsoft's recently-announced US Holiday Bundle sale. This means a $50 reduction, for a neat price of $349.99 - a very tempting proposal. The console is available for pre-order now at the special price from participating US retailers (Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, Target, Toys 'R Us and Walmart). For officialdom, here's a list of the other Holiday Bundles available in US for an unspecified "limited" time: 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect and Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports, and Kinect Adventures and one month of Xbox LIVE Gold for $399.99 USD (ERP) 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect and Kinect Disneyland Adventures and Kinect Adventures and one month of Xbox LIVE Gold for $299.99 USD (ERP) 250GB Xbox 360 with two games: Skyrim and Forza 4 Essentials Edition and one month of Xbox LIVE Gold for $299.99 USD (ERP)

  12. " Xbox 360's dashboard update is rolling out today (October 16). The latest version of the console's firmware is downloadable today for some users, and will be gradually made available for everyone over the next few weeks. "Our initial deployment will reach approximately three million consoles worldwide, with additional users being updated over the course of a couple of weeks," said director of programming Larry Hryb. "Don't panic if you don't see an immediate update, just keep checking back in." The update refreshes the 'Metro' branded interface with a tweaked layout of tiles, combines the TV and Movies channels, and in the US, introduces a sports channel. Internet Explorer will be added for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, allowing users to browse the web with a controller or Kinect. Searching is now expanded to genre, while voice search now includes YouTube, and is available to new countries including Ireland, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Spain and Austria. Favourite content can be pinned to the dashboard, allowing fast access to games, TV shows, music, videos and websites. Similarly, Quick Play will be rebranded as Recent, providing a list of games, movies and apps last used on the console. Zune Video Marketplace is to be rebranded as Xbox Video, offering hundreds of thousands of TV shows and movies available for purchase or renting. The recently announced Xbox Music will also be made available today. The update introduces Xbox SmartGlass, which will be made available when Windows 8 launches on October 26. " Source: Digital Spy

  25. Microsoft cutting prices on all of it's xbox 360 bundles for the holiday season. Read below for more details Source: Gameinformer.com All of Microsoft's Xbox 360 holiday bundles have received a $50 price cut, presumably because of the impending holiday season. It's unclear if this is a temporary price-cut, or a permanent one. Assuming that a new Microsoft console is on the horizon, I'd be surprised if the prices on these bundles went back up after the December. No Xbox 360 price cut this year, says Microsoft UK
