  1. I'm gonna throw this thread out there as a bit of a teaser as well as an invitation to anyone out there that still loves to play there daily Halo, but doesn't have many people left on their friend's list that plays Halo. I'm making a gaming community called "Project Ascension" with a strong emphasis on Halo. The community will deal work with our members to grow and expand for every type of gamer, from the casual Halo player, to the elite players. We are set up to have a war-simulation event (And no, not a LARP) in which all our participating members form into teams and work to gain domination of a risk type board, with each territory being represented by an actual in-game map. Alongside this, you can expect us to have a handful of gamenights each week ranging from any of the Halos, to other amazing multiplayer games. On top of the Campaign war simulations, and gamenights, we will also hold Tournaments, and days were we get together to simply work on achievements to help our members get that next step closer to 100% their games. Now that I'm done with the very rough explanation of what Project Ascension is, let me try provide some quick guidelines to the community: 1.) We don't have an age range, We have met plenty of 14 year olds that have it much more together than some guys and gals in college. We do however work to limit drama on the community to as small as we can. 2.) No, we do not require any changes to your gamertags, profiles, statuses, or anything like that. It's dumb, and a waste of your time to do it, and a waste of my time to even think of asking you to do it. 3.) We are an open community, if you are part of another community, we don't mind. We are just restarting and we understand that other larger communities have a lot to offer as well. We do appreciate monogamous members, but it's not like we are gonna chain you to the community. 4.) No, we don't demand that you attend every thing we do. We do appreciate members conveying that they wanna join an event, but unless you convey you want to join in, you don't need to feel pressure to join. Project Ascension already has pretty much everything we need to start up on a moment's notice, but due to our admins either being in college final's month, busy with a wedding around the corner, as well as other things in life demanding our attention, we won't be officially starting up for about a month and a half, late May to early June to help remove the chronological math from that. With all of that said, myself, and the other admins do find ourselves enough spare time to jump on our xbox often enough to forge some fun maps, do matchmaking, and keep up with anyone that wants to join with us for some fun times. If you feel like you wanna just jump on Halo and play with some decent guys feel free to send a friend request to gamertag: Salvanous.
  2. Electronic Arts has confirmed that there will not be a digital download of Titanfall for the Xbox 360, as it "simply did not represent the true Titanfall experience.” Titanfall recently launched after nearly a month's worth of delay on the Xbox 360 to critical success, like that of it's Xbox One and PC counterparts, both of which sold much better due to Digital Releases. However, EA's own website confirmed that the 360 version would not experience the same method of purchase. EA.com has stated it's reasoning for such actions, saying that it was considered, but after they felt that it "should have never been offered." They also stated that they, "hope players understand this decision was all about quality and making sure you get the best Titanfall experience." Considering some can only afford to buy it over Games on Demand, this could be a deal-breaker for potential customers, and is likely a shot in the foot on EA's part, though an understandable decision. View attachment: titanfallbattle.jpg This news is definitely some hard news to take in, especially if you are looking to get the Xbox 360 version and can't access a local game store, or simply prefer digital downloads. Has this impacted your decision on buying the game? Let me know below, thanks for reading! View full article

  4. The launch of TitanFall on the Xbox 360 will undergo a two-week delay. The launch of TitanFall for the Xbox 360 will be a two-week long delay, as revealed by a blog post on EA's official website, the game will now be released on April 8th (April 11, if you're in the UK.) The reason for this delay is simply because Bluepoint studios needs a little more time to "deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players." This delay may bring a bit of disappointment to those anxious to play Respawn's new FPS, but you can be sure its in the best interest of the community. (I'm sure no one at EA or Bluepoint wants to have a repeat of Battlefield 4's release problems) So what do you think, how much can this delay benefit TitanFall's release on Xbox 360? Leave your thoughts on this in the comments below. SOURCE:EA.COM View full article

  11. I have an Xbox 360 and a Macbook Pro (spring '11 model). I was wondering what would be the best way to record my screen based on my situation so I can make Halo videos for my YouTube channel. I have checked my TV and it has no A/V Out port ( ). I would prefer to record in 720p HD or better. I have looked at a few capture cards but they only support Windows.
  12. Currently the Xbox 360 version of World Of Tanks is still in Beta, and still in works. The entire point of moving the PC version of World Of Tanks to, the Xbox 360 is so far a success. I myself luckily got my hands on a World Of Tanks Beta code in the first 24 hours it was released as a Beta. I played it for a while, and when you first play it can be very hard to know how to shoot your shots. During the beginning of the first beta, they gave away tons of gold. I would say 500,000, and that is allot. So that was easy money you could transfer from gold to silver. Silver is the main currency in buying tanks, upgrades, packages, consumables, and Etc.... But they gave away all that gold, that it wasn't much of a challenge. In about 1 week I used all that gold to get a T1 Heavy Tank, and it was kinda fast, but it was like a hulk. It was like a bullet reflector, and that made the game so easier! During The first Beta Of World Of Tanks I Give The Game A Rating Of. 3 Star After the first beta, I came back on the game, and I had to re download everything. Which took a while, because of all these updates but it was "COMPLETELY" worth it. All my tanks were gone, but it didn't matter to me. I saw that they added so many more features. You could customize your tank, you could use your gold for silver,XP,and premium. And premium is when you buy it with gold and you get doubled the income you get from each game you play. They also added that you can buy tanks with gold. So I decided to start out with a light tank. Light tanks are more like spotters for artillery, and they were bullet magnets BUT fast!!!! I decided that rather use mediums, but the first 2 mediums you get for the American side isn't really effective against anything. Once I got a M3-Lee, everything changed for my thoughts on the medium category M3's were basically a big threat for lights, tank destroyers, mediums, artillery, and sometimes heavy. I continued with my awesome rad M3, until I got an T1 Heavy. Once I got into a game, with the T1 Heavy, everything was balanced now. It was no longer a hulk, it was more like the damage and speed went down allot. Which made this game, to be continually more fun!! During The 2nd Beta Of World Of Tanks I Give The Game A Rating Of. 5 star ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ This Game was developed by Wargaming.net This game was produced by Microsoft _________________________________________________________________________ Do you want more Information about World Of Tanks? The Game is made up of 5 different classes of tanks. Light Tanks- Light tanks are mainly beginning tanks, and are mainly spotters for artillery, to peg the other team. Medium Tanks- Some Mediums Tanks can be tough, while some others can be very weak. Mediums are mainly used in the main battle, fighting in the fronts. Heavy Tanks- Heavy's are your main battle tanks, each match needs a heavy or you are practically dead. The heavy's are mainly big bullet proof tanks, that can withstand basically anything. They are the main battle pushers within the game. Tank Destroyers- Tank Destroyers sound like a Class A battleship, but they actually are not. They have a incredibly strong attack level, but there health and armor is horrible. Destroyers mainly hide in the back where they can see everybody. Artillery- Artillery can be a big or small , and they are really effective against every tank in the game. They usually stay int he far back, out of the battle field, and once somebody spots a enemy, Artillery wipes them clean. Game Modes (Currently) Standard The goal is to capture the enemy flag/base or eliminate all enemy tanks within 15 minutes. If time expires it is a draw. Encounter Two teams fight to capture a single neutral base or eliminate all enemy tanks within 15 minutes. If time expires it is a draw. Information-Wki,google images
  13. It was announced today by Bungie that they had set the release date for Destiny for September 9th 2014. Below is an excerpt from the Bungie Weekly Update for 12/6/2013 and a news article from the site. Relevance of the Date The date falls almost 9 months to the day from this day. It is the 9th day of the 9th month of the year. This is a Tuesday in the second week of the month. There will be a full moon on that date. There appears to be no relevance with the date other than that, unless there is some 'in house' reasoning for selecting it. It falls well before the shopping period for the Holidays and after the summer break for schools. Update excerpt This week, we set that date in stone: September 9th, 2014. In an interview with the community back in 2001, Jason Jones once lamented the inexorable tick of the clock. More recently, he reminded our studio just how valuable the coming months will be, and challenged the team to make every second of Destiny development count. It’s an exciting time to be at Bungie. The stage is set, and we’re going to make these moments matter. We believe Destiny will be worth the wait, and we’re anxious for the chance to prove it to you. News Article Since then, Destiny has continued to reveal its promise. Every new build brings us closer to our original vision. With those goals in sight, we intend to use every moment from now until the release of the game to ensure that Destiny lives up to your expectations, and our own. Today, in partnership with Activision, we are proud to announce that the worldwide launch of Destiny will happen on September 9th. Accordingly, the Destiny Beta will kick off in the summer of 2014, available first on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The early support and enthusiasm for Destiny has been inspiring and humbling. We believe this is the right decision for our game, our studio, and our passionate community. Thank you for coming along with us on this adventure. See you starside.

  15. Hi, I dont know if I'm the only one thinking this but I think that because master chief is lonesome in the desert, that on his journey to help cortana, he should come across a dog or alien dog which comes along in his travels and helps him out along the way. Due to him not having any company he should have someone or in this case something. And whilst I'm on this I am deeply upset that halo 5 isn't on Xbox 360 :'(
  16. Assassins Creed IV Black Flag will not only be bringing back the classic style game play that die hard 'Creed' fans love, but also a new feature that will offer players a whole new way to explore the environment around them. The new underwater swimming experience opens up a vast area for the player to explore and find treasure, upgrades for their ship and other hidden items. You will have the same type of free roam ability under the oceans, seas and lagoons that you find on land except that here you will have no weapons for defense. This means when you encounter sharks, jelly fish, manta rays and various other dangerous sea creatures you must use the environment and stealth to avoid attacks and elude predators because you are the prey underwater. The new experience will allow you to traverse the entire oceans, if you choose, underwater. The one catch is that you need to be wary of your air supply. When diving close to your ship the crew will provide an air bell for use, but in more distant locations you will have to seek out air pockets under rock shelves and in caves. There will be a diverse underwater environment that features ship wrecks, coral reefs, under water caves, lagoons and trenches that are carpeted with lush seaweed beds, sand, clams and filled with all manner of underwater life. In an video interview with producer Arnaud Vaudour, Tom Bramwell of eurogamer.net discusses the new addition of under water exploration in Assassins Creed IV Black Flag.

  19. Will anyone be getting the Xbox One specifically for Halo? Amazon has only sold out 25K units for the X1, sounds a little low to me.
  20. Source-IGN The Xbox 360 is the best-selling console of this generation in the UK, with 8.4 million sold. MCV reports that Microsoft's console is regularly outselling all its rivals and will overtake Nintendo's Wii in a matter of days, according to Chart-Track. Despite this, the Xbox 360 isn't the UK's best-selling console of all time just yet, that title is still held by the PlayStation 2 which has shifted over 10 million units since it was launched back in 2000.

  22. Source-IGN The addition of Time Warner Cable extends the Xbox 360's television offerings beyond the already-available Verizon FiOS TV, ESPN, and Comcast Xfinity apps, just to name a few. It has not been said if the app will eventually be available for the Xbox One, although Microsoft already has a plan for live television on their upcoming console.
  23. Source-Polygon Fable Anniversary, a high-definition remake of the original Fable, will be available on Xbox 360 this holiday season, announced Lionhead Studios' Ted Timmins on Major Nelson's podcast today. Lionhead teased the HD remake earlier today. The studio is remastering Fable: The Lost Chapters, the expanded edition of the game that was released in September 2005 on Windows PC and Xbox and in October 2008 on Mac. The original Fable, a role-playing game designed by Peter Molyneux, launched in September 2004 exclusively on Xbox. "We're really excited to be bringing a remastered version of Fable: The Lost Chapters to the Xbox 360," said Timmins, who is serving as the lead designer of the remake and was a tester on Fable, on Lionhead's website. "It's been one of the biggest community requests as we know how much the fans love the original game." As an Xbox 360 game, Fable Anniversary will offer Achievements, which did not exist on the Xbox. "Fable's always been a bit about choice and consequence, so we're trying to put that into our Achievements," said Timmins on the podcast. Lionhead said it is delivering a "complete HD graphical overhaul," redoing Fable's visuals in 1080p with new Unreal Engine 3-powered lighting and new animation system for faces and cutscenes. The studio is also revamping outdated elements such as the original game's interface and controls, and rebuilding the save system as a modern checkpoint-based setup. In addition, Lionhead is developing SmartGlass integration for Fable Anniversary, with a second-screen experience that offers features like an in-game map and, potentially, the ability to take screenshots. When asked if Fable's pub games could be released on SmartGlass, Timmins said, "We're certainly exploring other avenues, let's say, with SmartGlass ... we've been experimenting; let's leave it at that."
