  1. I was also a better sniper in Halo 3, but that is mainly because of the fire rate and lack of apparent recoil (if there was any it didn't affect my aim). It was also easier close range because of the fire rate. I've gotten pretty decent on Reach's sniper, but that took quite a bit of practice (playing team snipers, A LOT).
  2. There is definitely a lack of map selection in Team Snipers. That said, SWAT could also use a couple community made maps as well. With SWAT though, they also need to drop a map or two (powerhouse, for example) because no one votes for it and it just takes up room on the voting page. What I think they should do is take the maps that are voted for less than a certain amount of times in a certain amount of time and add maps in their places.
  3. Mine is a picture of my girlfriend. I don't get to see her nearly often enough these days (she's studying abroad, but should be back home soon), so this is one of my few bits of sentimentality.
  4. There are rumors about them popping onto this site to check out ideas, but they themselves have confirmed that they do visit waypoint's forum (halo.xbox.com/forums) to get a feel for the communities position on certain topics, and to also gleam a few cool ideas.
  5. Well one of the rumors is that the 720 (possibly codenamed Loop) is that it's going to be launched during the 360s "lifespan". What that means is that they will probably be launching 360 games along with games for the new console, unlike they did with the transition from X-Box to X-Box 360, which was completely halt all production of X-Box games, consoles, and accessories.
  6. I'm in AAN2 is my gtag. It's just two days away Yay!
  7. lmao didn't realize that Halo 3 was a toy xD thanks for sharing the lulz
  8. I'm not really the sneaky type, so I use push to crouch instead of toggling because jump crouching can sometimes give you an edge, same as rapid crouching.
  9. The awkward moment when your mic isn't working and you want to tell your teammate that the guy who just killed you is right behind him/her...
  10. I'm not a big infection player, but I do like the idea of having both infection and invasion in Halo 4. Also, I like the idea of having the flood as infected.
  11. I'm a legend, 100k from being a mythic. lol
  12. I think some people are forgetting that Halo Reach was a prequel. The fact that AA's are present in Reach but not in Halo 2 or 3 means that the UNSC scrapped the AA program for equipment. Most of the weapons in Halo Reach are NOT advanced versions of the weapons in Halo 3, but in fact are preludes to the current stock of weaponry. The fact that they weren't in Halo 3 means that they were scrapped for the evolved forms. The ship that Master Chief is on is not a ship that was just on Reach, but had just been on Earth and had a chance to resupply before it left for the Ark. A DMR or an AA making an appearance on Halo 4, unless the Spirit of Fire comes into play somehow, would be nonsense and break canon. Also, I'd like to point out to those inevitable responses saying, "In the trailer Master Chief had a jetpack!" that no, that wasn't a jetpack, that was a thruster pack, which never came into actual gameplay because Master Chief did not combat anyone in an actual ZG environment. If there are AAs and DMRs on Halo 4 with no explanation other than "well they are there, deal with it" then Halo will no longer be Sci-Fi FPS, but rather FFPS (Futuristic First Person Shooter), and would lose even more of it's current fan base than was lost when Reach came out.
  13. Welcome back! Haven't seen you around these parts in a while, thought you might have quit. Glad that you haven't though
  14. I would totally adopt one of those cars and take car of it. As far as donating five dollars a day so someone else can, meh.
  15. Ensemble Studios was owned by Microsoft, therefor the rights to Halo Wars is also owned by Microsoft. If they decide to make a new Halo Wars, they will simply contract another company to do so, or perhaps give the project to 343i. So far, there is no news on whether or not there will be a sequel to HW, but if Microsoft decides to make one there will be one. Who knows what the future will hold? Honestly the only thing that bothered me about Halo Wars was that it had such awesome cutscenes but horrible gameplay graphics. It felt like I was playing with dolls rather than controlling an army. If they were able to fix the graphics a bit, then I would love it.
  16. Yeah, that would work if you were holding a weapon that could kill with one headshot, and if somehow you were able to dodge the radius of at least 5 grenades tossed at your feet. Oh, and that's only if their random nade spamming didn't include a lucky plasma.
  17. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/06/xbox-360-live-tv-halo-4-microsoft-e3-2011_n_872176.html And excerpt from the article, " Live television and another chapter of the "Halo" game are landing on Xbox 360." The new X-Box is still a few years out, and they are trying to get Halo 4 on the shelves this November/December. And while it would be a good marketing ploy to sell bundles, it wouldn't be wise in the current economy (in the US at least) to add the cost of a new game to a new console. Hell, most of my friends are going to have trouble even affording Halo 4, let alone a brand new gaming console. However, you should expect Halo 5 or 6 to be released with the new console, in or out of a bundle. They may even release a few consoles that have Halo skins, like they did with Halo 3. Also, they haven't officially announced a release date for the new X-Box, but people are thinking it's going to come out in Summer 2013 or Holiday 2014. Here's a page with rumors for you, but remember, they are only rumors and nothing official has been announced yet. http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/xbox-720-every-rumour-about-the-new-xbox-937167
  18. I couldn't get past the first episode, but I'll take your word for it and try it out again.
  19. I agree, these days players throw grenades before they even pop off any shots. And with Reach's jump height and slowed movement speed (not counting AAs), grenades are harder to avoid than ever. It took me a while to break out of the habit of jump crouching when someone tossed a grenade at me that I picked up in Halo 3. And it's annoying when your team tosses grenades instead of shooting, and ends up getting a bunch of betrayals. It's even more annoying when the entire opposing team doesn't even press right trigger. Most of the Slayer playlists are bothersome just for this reason alone. And btw, it's 50 times worse when there are grenade challenges.
  20. Probably in Cryptum or Primordium. There are also 2 Arks! A greater and lesser.
  21. Where ELSE would it go? lol Did you know that the Covenant Hierarchs prior to the covenant war with humanity were the prophets of Tolerance, Restraint, and the prophetess of Obligation?
  22. I think they should go back to the ol' ranked and social categories, with slightly differing rules for each of them, so the MLG players have something to play, and the casual/fun gamers have something else to play. That way, if there are complaints about one category, they can change it without touching the other. I'd also like to point out that after they released the info on the TU everybody supported it, then they started incorporating it and that's when everyone started complaining about it. It seems to be one of those "looks better on paper" things.
  23. A few weeks after Halo CE came out, one of my friends downloaded the PC version onto a flashdrive and installed it to his account at our highschool. In our computer tech class, on slow days, we would play multiplayer against each other. Even though the other guys were complete PC gamer nerds, I still won so much that one of my friends walked over and turned off my computer. Since then I was addicted. xD
  24. The reason I don't like the grenade and jetpacking challenges is because I don't even have to check the challenges to know that those are in effect. When there are games where the entire lobby isn't even pulling right trigger, or has a jetpack, or both, then I know. Grenade spam is ALWAYS annoying, and jetpack abuse is too. Especially when I get stuck with teammates who just so happen to not know how to use either and end up losing the game because they were constantly suiciding or betraying. :/
