  1. Myself, I do not mind buying the DLC when it is legitimate (like Dragon Age Awakening, which was almost it's own game in and of itself), and also don't mind when it is something like map packs or extra costumes, but when they literally take a mission that normally would be in the main game and charge you extra to have that mission/character/weapon/armor, then there's a problem. Halo does DLC right (so far). They give you a storyline, a set number of maps, access to multiplayer and forge, and a whole bunch of other things for the price of the game. Then, when they get time, they come out with some new maps as DLC. They don't put armor or weapons or abilities as DLC, just maps and some avatar items. Everything else is in the game. Other games, however, have been taking huge chunks out of their games and then charging extra for people to get them, and I think this is what has people frustrated.
  2. I downloaded google chrome using Safari, which came with my iPod. ;D I refused to go the normal way >.> Also, I like Chrome more because it's faster, but I have firefox so that I can read epubs.
  3. That's not what Bioware said about the ME3 fiasco. lol "It takes about 3 months from 'content complete' to bug-fix, certify, manufacture, and ship game discs, in that time we work on DLC. DLC has fast [certification] and no [manufacturing], so if a team works very hard, they can get a DLC done in time to enjoy it with your first playthrough on day one." Not to mention that the DLC wasn't that large of a download and would have easily of fit on the ME3 disc. This is but one example of a handful that have popped up recently.
  4. I've noticed a rising trend in people who hate DLC lately. I did some digging, and this is the results. The original thought behind DLC was for game creators to add stuff to their games that they either didn't have the time to during production, or couldn't due to limits on budget and technology. Of course, game developers got greedy and started charging for DLC. This was understandable to most people, however, because people do deserve to get paid for their efforts in making a better game. Recently however, a few companies have begun to purposefully segment their games so that you do not get the full story without paying not only the cost of the game, but the price for the DLC. Recent hikes in prices of DLC have also caused some outrage among consumers. Another think that has begun to get gamer's blood boiling is that certain games have come out with DLC on their release date, blatantly confirming abuse of the DLC system. The DLC that was released was actually an integral part of the main story, and in many opinions should have been included in the games. There have been a few public outcries by a couple of gaming celebrities, including Dan Bull, who created a song explaining his own frustrations about DLC. Here's the video: Thank you for reading this. Have a good day.
  5. I like the look of it, but wouldn't want to wear it. Imagine getting kicked in the balls by a brute while NOT wearing a ceramic steel codpiece... *shivers*
  6. My X-Box gets a work-out every day. Even though it's a good 4 years old, it still runs like it's only 1.
  7. Did I miss out on the list because my ISP decided to charge me 600 dollars to get my internet back on? Cuz yeah *coughs* http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000578940181 *coughs*
  8. A Reclaimer. I want a dreadnought. WYR eat a bowl of pudding that hasn't been mixed properly, or drink a bowl of pudding that hasn't been mixed properly?
  9. Did you know that MJOLNIR armor was actually based on the suits that dockworkers used to carry freight?
  10. HE IS!?!?!? I didn't know that o.o
  11. It would be funny, and there are some fan-fics about them having a relationship (if they weren't in two separate universes of course). However, there are a few things to consider here. Master Chief isn't interested in sexual intercourse for one. The genetic augmentation he received not only destroys his desire to copulate, but also eradicates his ABILITY to copulate. In other words, he is shooting blanks with a limp barrel. The thought of him settling down with a mercenary (admittedly attractive mercenary, but a mercenary nonetheless) and having children is laughable at best. He has never shown any interest in intimacy, and I doubt he would start.
  12. Did you know that Humans and Jackals traded with each other both during and after the human-covenant war?
  13. That's right. I finally have my internet back. Took a couple of weeks and two twenty mile walks, but I did it. Anyways, thank you to all the people who said goodbye, it was very touching. Also, a prethanks to all those who say welcome back. Now, let's get back to foruming.
  14. I'm not going to be able to get online for what may be a long time. My Internet has been turned off and I do not currently have the funds to turn it back on. So, this is goodbye for now. Won't be on here or Xbox live. Bbl.
  15. I would work at Activision. Position? CEO. UMADATMYMONEYBROS?
  16. To all those reading this. I'm sorry, but you've just lost The Game.

  17. Did you know that Halo was originally going to be for the Mac? Maybe that's where the name Mac cannon came from!
  18. Don't even respond to guys like this. They are just looking for any reason they can to complain. These were probably the same guys who were like "boo bloom, yay TU" and a month later were saying "Boo TU bloom is pro". First off, who CARES about aesthetics? Is how your BR looks going to be a factor in how you play? Are you really that simple minded? Also, Master Chief will ALWAYS look badass. They can paint flowers on his visor and put a friggin tutu on him, and he would still look like he could kick everyone's ass. Also, the multiplayer preview is not finished, they even said that in the video. What you have pointed out are not "2 big issues", but in fact minuscule ones. Gameplay > aesthetics. That's not opinion, that's fact. If you can't play the friggin game, then what point is there in having it look cool?
  19. That is Halo 3 with a grenade placed in front of the magnum in either forge mode or by luck. That is NOT Halo 4.
  20. Did you know that the Halo series was the first one to use a two weapon system?
  21. Dues Ex is a fantastic game, Barney and Friends is an utter pile of garbage. ohyesididdat
  22. Frigate: Death Blow Carrier: Forward Unto Salvation
  23. What I loved about it is the story and the gameplay. Call it glitchy, call it unfinished, call it what you will. Fact of the matter is that the glitches in the campaign weren't game killers, and in fact HELPED the player more often than hurt them. I remember on a certain level playing with my friend (Jackals, in the courtyard! lol) we were trying to decide whether or not to go AROUND the bad guys. Games don't usually give you the option to completely sidestep enemies. Especially in a linear game. Even though it was unintentional, it was still fun. Personally, it made me feel like a friggin ninja. And the dialogue. Oh the dialogue was a riot. It was the only Halo game that I literally had to pause because I was laughing so hard. That's what sold it for me. For me campaign story best to least, it's Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo CE, Halo ODST, Halo Wars, and Halo Reach. For campaign gameplay, it's Halo 2, Halo CE, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, and Halo Wars.
