the problem with this is that a portion of the competitive players will play in the social playlists. They will just try to rack up kills off of those who are just playing for the fun of it......which makes it no fun

all i hope for is that guys stop using female spartans....... it annoys me when some of us men dont even know what gender they are..... just kidding, i simply find it annoying when guys use girl spartans.......its not like its 3rd person or anything where you can check out the rear...... .....if you know what i mean

there is also the mysterious "fourth grenade" that we dont know about yet. I wonder what it will end up like...... hopefully not like the other halo 3 grenades. Spike grenades are like the same as plasma, the flame ones werent that effective in mutliplayer........... but this is a time to celebrate... 400th post!!!! :fun:

everyone votes for hemmorage in team snipers. It was fun at first, but its just plain boring now becuase its the same thing over and over again. I like boardwalk. It gives more of an urban feeling and it is a long map, good for long range. But what i hate is just regular snipers when players use the magnums and grenades. Snipers pro is the best

How does your Spartan Looks Like OR What is the best armor ?
Victory Element replied to CAMS24's topic in Halo Reach
i often do wonder why high ranked people do very odd armor combos that dont look right together. If its something thats supposed to be cool, i dont think it is....its plain weird. but anyways, i dont have a pic, but here's description: helmet- hazop(w/ 3rd attachment) chest-assault/sapper (robot arm) right shoulder- security(big knife) left shoulder- sniper visor-black but my colors are important with this combo as well primary-orange secondary-white (makes the default white stripes on security shoulder more noticeable, looks good with sniper shoulder and breathing mask on the helmet as well) -
What's the best weapon for a Default Setting game ?
Victory Element replied to CAMS24's topic in Halo Reach
most people as well as myself like the DMR because its very effective at mid range. but i think the default should be the AR. it seems like the most basic gun and i doesnt have all the advantages that other weapons do. It keeps things even and keeps things fun- 9 replies

How can we get to an Inheritor quicker?
Victory Element replied to Mythic Porogan's topic in Halo Reach
to get to inheritor, all that counts is playing time. Play all day, every day, for 6 months more and you should be there. No school or work. No family or friends. All halo. thats how all the inheritors to got their rank. Are you as desperate as them?? it seems unfortunate how much time some people spend playing halo. I have a guy on my friends lists whos inheritor.....every time i turn on my xbox, he is plaing halo. EVERY SINGLE TIME -
not anymore, bungie is gone, no more app

my favorite map was countdown, but second favorite has to be reflection. I like the idea of playing on maps that arent completely symmetrical, so you have to fight for the better ground. Things like reflection, sword base, and boardwalk(even though i hate boardwalk)

i also think that grenades can be called in as ordinance in infinity slayer

Some Observations and Unanswered Questions...
Victory Element replied to Dawn Wolf's topic in Halo 4
desert maps like sandtrap, red and black for urban maps but i think the weapon skins get a little to close to the CoD border, but armor skins are okay. i wonder how many skins will be available in the entire game?? -
i'm almost positive they said they wouldnt be doing any remakes on the disk, all originals, but a map pack like the anniversary one would be great...... the pit, guardian, sandtrap, last resort...... all the good stuff

Halo 4 Live Cutscene (new Didact info)(SPOILERS)
Victory Element replied to Victory Element's topic in Halo 4
i dont see why it would have been breached by the "enemy". From evrything we can see in the video, the enemy is trying to get off Requiem. I also think the prometheans kept chief alive because the Didact wants chief alive. And the covies on requiem have been titled as a "splinter group" by kiki. the reason you dont see any hatred against humans from the Bornstellar Didact is because of the antagonists in the book. After the original Didact was executed, the enemy clearly switched from humanity to being the flood. When against the flood, its a free for all, so he wouldnt have bothered to even consider the humans in any way. It is highly likely that he still hates humanity, especially since they are supposed to inherit the mantle.......and after all these years, the Didact is probably looking for revenge. also, watch the 10th terminal in halo CE anniversary. 343 guilty spark clearly says "and without the Librarian to temper his rage, those reclaimers would almost prefer the flood". So this means he probably has no concern for his wife's plans, and it clearly puts him in the position as a threat to humanity. Humans are reclaimers, and it would be very hard for anyone to prefer the flood over something else, so that implies his is very dangerous -

Question about friendly fire/betrayals/suiciders......
Victory Element replied to DeadlyKlappy87's topic in Halo 4
its the same case with me. I think friendly fire should just be turned off. Whats the point if it is used more for intentional purposes than accidents?? The booting system isnt always that effective and you can get booted for any accidental friendly kills. Players would stop trying to betray each other completely and i dont see why we should keep friendly fire. Do you want things to be realistic?? or do you want things to support the spirit of the game?? its hard to do both, but i take the spirit of the game any day. Turn friendly fire off -
this is correct. I also want to mention that the flood and precursors are most likely the same species. The Primordial was revealed to be a gravemind, and he most likely wasnt just infected by the flood, because he would have lost his original consciousness. My theory is that the precursors are the highest possible form of the flood. They no longer need hosts to survive and they begin developing technology. As as experiment they created the forerunners. (other possibility is that precusors wiped out all other possible hosts so they then created the forerunners to use as hosts). The forerunners rebelled and the precusrors were in danger of becoming wiped out. As a failsafe plan to insure the survival of their species, they created the powder that was discoverd by humans and released the flood. The setback would be that they would have to evovle again, all the way from the forms of the lowest flood

that makes sense, give them more power, but limit players' access to them but i would prefer the opposite way..... less power but nades for everyone

lets hope the new storm rifle doesnt end up like that

The "Unofficial" Whats Your Halo 4 Loadout? Thread
Victory Element replied to SykoWolf's topic in Halo 4
finally, someone realized the packages! primary-DMR secondary-depends what playlist (pp for vehicle maps, magnum for others) armor ability- the counter to PV that has been announced but we havent seen it yet grenades-plasma tactical package-Genadier support package-resupply/ammo (i dont know how much DMR ammo i can scavenge from bodies, so i dont know yet) -
i personally do not think k/d should be used to organize lobbies. k/d means nothing when it comes to a players real skills. players need to be able to go for objectives, as well as get kills. Going for an object is allmost a doorway to deaths, but there are always the openings that people take advantage of. If a player has an extremely high k/d like 2.0, you can assume they get their kills off of players that go for objectives. If they played in slayer gametypes, theor k/d would definately not be as high. They could have no talent at all, but the objective players are like sitting ducks to them. I have never thoguht of a player to be good by just looking at their k/d. look into the BPR system that halo waypoint uses. It seems to be pretty accurate when it comes to skill, and i think this should be used for matchmaking

i have just been a bit concerned about my ammo supplies. I am one of the few that prefers the the DMR and i am assuming it will be harder to scavenge DMR ammo off the battlefield. If this is the case, i will probably use the ammo package, but i also use grenades a lot, so its a problem either way. I guess i can make a choice once the game comes out and i can see how the gameplay feels just consider if you were to have the awareness package after picking up a sniper rifle. No one would be able to flank you or come too close without you noticing. you could find a perfect sniping position, and you could very easily defend it and be an effective sniper
-
the new fast paced gameplay will affect this for sure, we just dont know how much. Lets hope brings down the efficencey of the pp in slayer modes but keeps a good balance for use against vehicles
-
you do have a good point, but kills from the grave will also be affected by not picking up nades, because chances are, you wont have any left by the time you die
-
i've never had anything against spamming. i will admit that i do it sometimes, but thats not the reason why i am concerned about this. I just dont like the idea that i start with two grenades and dont get a single nade more til my next life. It is overkill in my opinion, but i've come up with a new idea. If the player who threww the grenade is killed before detonation, it no longer detonates. it sounds simple and logical, i dont think it would cause any problems either

In halo 4, part of the loadout customizations will choosing a support package for your player. The following so far are: Awareness Allows the player to see their radar whilst using a scoped weapon. It also offers "heightened locational intel of all nearby enemies", although it's not clear what exactly that entails. Sensor Upgrade Increases the range and sensitivity of the radar. Ammo Upgrade Allows the player to spawn with more ammo. Resupply Allows you to pick up grenades from dead players - which also means that without this upgrade you will not be able to pick up grenades dropped by other players. Mobility Infinite sprint. People who've played the game at E3 say that this isn't as big a boost as it sounds, you get quite a lot of sprint by default. My concern with this is the resupply support package. We now need an ability to be able to pick up nades off of dead players. i find a large problem with this. an ability that has always been given to us has now been taken away and limited!! we can already pick up ammo from dead players, it would only be logical to be able to pick up grenades too. What is everyone else's opinion on this new "perk" that you need??
