  2. i have not heard any news yet on whether invasion will be included in halo 4 or not. If there is any released already, please leave a link. Without elites being playable in war games, would the opposing teams just be different colors??Or will there just be no invasion?? Maybe 343 will create a gamemode similar to invasion but with some sort of twist on it..... please enlighten me on this topic
  3. ya, that is another one of the problems in multi team. You sort of have a "spawn zone" where you constantly spawn, whether enemies are there or not. The only way to fix this may be to give spawn acces to players all over each map, not just in their zone and on teamates

  5. for your first two questions, they are less effective than the previous spartans, but a simpler recruitment process gives them an advantage in numbers. I think they may be like the best of the best, hand picked marines, or just volunteers. They do recieve minimal physical augmentations, but nothing near as extreme as spartan IIs. the also have the latest MJOLNIR armor. we dont know who created them, and we dont know how many there are, but we know it could be a lot. They were introduced to be an large and effective unit that is more "expendable" than the previous spartans, so it will be interesting to see what they can do. hope this helped
  6. multi team has been one of my favorite gamemodes in halo, but there is a problem with this mode that needs to be fixed.....maybe not the gamemode, its the players.... Multi team has a variety of game modes, both objective based and slayer types, and my problem is people not playing for the win. Too many players go for kills instead of the actual objective that some games are based around. They take advantage of the fact that some players go for the objective and want to win the game the right way. The objective players end up like sitting ducks to those who hoard the power weapons and go for kills. It ruins the spirit of the game and takes away the fun of the competition. Some players use this apropriately though, for example, one player gives cover fire with the sniper while the other two go for the objective. but too many people take advantage of this. The only way to stop this would be to stop rewarding players for only getting kills in an objective based gametype. In halo 4, the spartan points should be given out for scoring points from the objectives, but kills would be rewarded for in slayer modes. If the players realize that they wont get any reward for trying to rack up kills, they will stop. It will keep objective games objective based and all players will be working for points from the objectives. Thats what objectives are meant for anyways, right? I hope this problem is delt with in halo 4, and there should be no complaint from anyone, because if you do complain, it shows how you get your cheap kills
  7. Bornstellar didnt hate humans, but the consciousness of the Didact inside of him did. And he was not a friend to Chakas, Chakas was a friend to him. I read somewhere that Chakas knew he had betrayed humanity by working with the forerunners or something like that. I will try to recover the source later. Chakas became a good ally to the forerunners so he was eventually made into 343 guilty spark. But he was known as a kind of traitor to the humans you're looking at the nitty gritty details of the skull. In the screenshot of the knight, its mouth is wide open and it is not a great a picture to compare with another skull. Did you not look at that ghost rider skull that i showed??? You can tell that its obviously meant to be a human skull, but the tiny details are not perfect. Its only meant to be intimitdating. If you do not think it is a human skull, at least come up with a theory to what is it....and please back it up with something. You just keep say its not human, you need to tell me what it actually may be if you want to make a strong argument
  8. you need to get you're prioritites straight......... but anyways, preoreder the LE. you get the preorder bonus plus all the goodies that you get from spending a little extra cash. i've had $100 saved up and i was waiting for something that i really wanted to spend it on. When the LE got announced, i almost wet my pants....$100.....bingo
  9. i hate rocket hog race sooo much in multi team, but i dont know if i have played regular rocket race. But it should have its own playlist i think. 343 should expand the racing gamemodes so there can be more maps to play on and new variables in each game(maybe some banana peels like mario cart ). It would be rare if i ever played in this playlist, but it sounds like it would be best for those who love races.
  10. i'm the exact same way. As long as i can talk to other players, i dont care if the sound comes out of my tv. The $20 may not be the best for comfort though.........

      The API that was used on this site was linked to Bungie.net. XBOX.com has yet to release an API, probably due to wanting to control traffic to their forum, so the only way to view your stats for the time being is at Waypoint. As soon as we get the ability to pull stats we will.

  12. haha. i think they will be angry with everything. Like those new perks and stuff in the loadouts and the diversity of the weapons. If mlg expands it horizons, i might start to play it more
  13. i could see how you got that impression, but it is hard to say its true. The war against humans had been over for while when the original Didact was executed. The main threat to the forerunners from that point in the story was the flood. With the flood around, everyone else feels like an ally, but that doesnt mean he never still hated humans. in the "second time around", the threat that he had to worry about was the flood, and he didnt have time to waste worrying about the humans as he may have before

  16. i like all of the dedication you have to this subject. But you cant say "requiem might not realise they are there" . From what we know, its just a shield world, not its own consciousness, but i'm sure that was an honest mistake in your wording. Anyways, the prometheans would have to know the covenant is there, because the watcher zapped that elite in the campaign gameplay. But how long could the covenant have been there without a decisive victory between either them or the prometheans?? Is it possible that they have a truce? maybe the watcher only killed the elite because they needed chief alive?? this topic is getting deeper and deeper

  18. i'm sure he does hate humans. He was a leader in the forerunner-human war, he lost all of his offspring in the war, and he discovered that the mantle was actually meant for humanity. i do see some differences now that it is compared. I never meant the 4 meters thing to sound like they had distinct differences in the skull, i was thinking a matter of size. Also the skull that you have the pic of is in perfect condition. I recently visited some catacombs and saw more skulls than i needed to in my life. But from what i saw, the promethean skull looks a lot like a human's to me. It is also not just a perfect skull that that sits around like in the pic. Its kinda like a ghost rider skull that is obviously human (not perfect)but is meant to look intimidating
  19. i dont think they have, but i would really like to see more action from this weapon. it looked great in the campaign gameplay, and i wonder how powerfull it will be in the multiplayer.
  20. its good to see that someone has my same perspective. Some of the players dont play anything but mlg and when they try other stuff, they get wrecked. And whats the fun if the mlg playlist hardly changes for each new game......... its gets too boring for me. It is highly competitive, but i prefer situations where anything can happen and you have to adapt to it
  21. things may have changed. Its been four years since the war ended, so DMR could have been issued to the navy in that period of time. Or they may be training the spartan IVs for any combat situations, in case they end up working alongside the army

  23. i do agree with what has been said by Tallgeese and Ryu Hayabusa. The mlg is pampered too much, they whine if they dont get the specific things they want. I think the mlg needs a little more diversity, if the players are able to adapt to all kinds of situations, then they are truly good. Just hitting a few headshots seems a little plain and only shows how well you can aim, it doesnt make you a good player in competitive modes. People complain about noobs so they go to play mlg, but if they are so good, why dont they wreck the noobs?? a good player should be able to dominate on a regular playlist as well as mlg also... 300th post!!! :fun:
  24. wow, i like the DMR and i was surprised i wasnt the only one. i expected almost everyone using a BR, and this has made me concerned with my ammo supply. now that i know i can pick some ammo up off of bodies, i feel more confident. Thank you all you DMRers!!
