Spartans like John are approximately 2 meters tall while Jackals stand at maybe half that if not less so the shields that they use wouldn't cover the Spartans completely like they do a Jackal. Do you know how small Jackals are? The shield wouldn't serve its purpose on a Spartan. A Spartan could just crouch. That would also be a nice way of balancing the shield: more protection, less speed. If you are a Spartan Supersoldier who has THICK, HALF TON armor, who is super fast and and can jump high, it wouldn't make any sense to pick up a Jackal's Energy Shield. Master Posted May 25, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 25, 2012 Im just saying it wouldnt affect your shields and it would be interesting to have because theres different things 343 can do with it, such as one hit beatdowns, shield yourself from other beatdowns and grenades.
