'The Elder Scrolls VI' Won't Be Discussed For A While

Recommended Posts

Bethesda's Vice President of Marketing has confirmed that an official Elder Scrolls sequel to Skyrim won't be happening for quite some time.

Bethesda is a well known video game publisher famed for numerous titles such as Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein, DOOM, Dishonored, and many more. With the recent announcement of Fallout 4's imminent launch, Pete Hines from Bethesda's marketing team stated to IGN.com that the company has a lot on their plate, so an Elder Scrolls sequel is not likely to happen any time soon. Hines continued, stating that the company usually focuses on one title at a time and considering the weight of Fallout 4 and it's upcoming mod and DLC support, it isn't wise to siphon off resources to begin developing a new Elder Scrolls. Also taking into account the time it took to create Fallout 4, it seems like we may not see another Elder Scrolls game for a while. The latest Elder Scrolls spin-off, Elder Scrolls Online, recently released an add-on known as the Imperial City to expand the game's content, with more content on the way. Fallout 4 releases in November 2015 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC with mod support on all platforms.

This is good. It means that Bethesda's full attention is focused on Fallout 4 and it's future downloadable content, while also allowing for a hefty amount of time to built TESVI

Remember that a significant portion of Fallout's development will have included making some of the base systems that it runs on. The Elder Scrolls will be able to use the systems they already have and will reduce some dev time.

Like how Fallout New Vegas came out two years after 3 because it used the same engine. The focus could be out on items, gameplay and story.

Ash it may be overhyped depending on how you see it, yet you should give it a chance, maybe, just maybe.

IT WILL SURPISE YOU!

On the note of the topic: It good that all their attention is focused on F4, and hopefully to fix as many bugs as possible.....

Come on.... we all know there is going to be some kind of dragon flying backwards or something at some point in a Bethesda game.... :)
