Map: EXPRESS

Supported Game types: Dominion, Slayer, CTF

 


Recommended Game types: Domination (Dominion), One in the Chamber (Slayer) - (Recommended, but normal gametypes work. Only difference is time limit and point values.) 

 

Vehicles: 1 Warthog by base Alpha (Only 1 due to small size of map.)

 

Objective Ordinance: Human Weapons, 1 drop per base.

 

Recommended Team Size: 4-16

 

Map Details: This map is based off the Black Ops II map Express, which is placed in a Los Angeles train station. 


There are Random ordinance drops in the elevator, two side hallways, and in the middle of the tracks. Dominion is the best game type for the map because of its aesthetic dominion features and cool design. The Warthog is located by the elevator (Base A). The dynamic lighting is functioning, and the forge budget and most of the pieces are exhausted. The kill areas surround the perimeter of the walls, and there is a kill zone that starts right above the top ceiling of the exterior. The respawn points are the same as they are in Black Ops II, but a few more are added.

 

Hope you like it, and tell me if there are any defects to the map. There is a UPDATED gameplay/ walkthrough video also located on my fileshare.

Changes: 1 turret controlled by base A looking on top of middle building, Objective ordinance drops added, more dominion barriers, moved bases to more cover/ removed overlooking turrets.

This map has some clean forging and an interesting concepts. But it does have a lot of issues.

It seems that the sight-lines are way to open. Turrets overlooking base terminals is never a good idea. Also spawning and the bases themselves are far too open.

Does this map include objective drops ( drops based on the resupply timers of bases)? Random drops do not work in dominion.

Thank you for the input. Since based the map of the Black Ops II version (which has more open sight lines), I tried to make it as similar as possible. Now I do understand that Halo and cod have completely different gameplay, so I will add more barriers and obstacles. I didn't include objective drops because i did not realize that random didn't work in dominion. I will fix these issues ASAP. If there are any other problems please let me know.

Try not to go for the black ops II remake but create new routes and additional structures to add more scenery to your map. Attempt to create pathways for enhanced gameplay and also if you do have to take out cuts on your map due to gameplay, don't hesitate to do so. Also where you have the terminals try to create more of a base out of it such as a place you want to take hold of instead of holding a certain area, that would be more of extraction.
