  1. LOOK this is quite old, heared this from my dad years ago XD
  2. I think Halo 4 brought th series back to what it used to be. Reach got boring fast, since it felt like bungie was just a one trick pony. Still Halo 4 has a lot of room for improvement and 343i did pick up the banner, bungie dropped, quite well.
  3. Biggles and I do have point, SKILL is completely required. I could snipe people with M4A1 in battlefield 3, but I was really bad with sniper rifles. Skills, prefferences and loadout mastery is necessary. don't say the AR is overpowered. don't hate the game, hatethe player.
  4. She thinks that she is one of the best, I mean the other "Spartans" as well, but she lacks the skill, the experience needed, to best the masterchief. Halo CE explained it in one qoute: Born for battle, bred for war!
  5. If they allow you to pre-order it, it isn't necessary true. I mean Halo 4 got a pre-order, before the game even was announced. the xbox one had multiple stores where could pre order, after the announcement. I think no Halo comes this year, It is 343i chance to blast Halo to the next gen, they will take the time they need. But still if Halo 5 gets announced, I will sell my brother to buy a xbox one.
  6. Easter eggs are fun if they are hard to find. But the thing I love in games the most are refferences to other events or games. Like in MGS 3 they refference Otakons father, LOVED IT.
  7. Beam rifle, on shot on the head, or two fast rounds. sniper is fun, but It makes miss a lot more, while with the beam I can easily adjust my arc and still score the kill, without any wasted time.
  8. The games are not getting easier, we are just getting more experience and skilled. I figured this out when I was a kid. Halo 2 is hard, sure, but the campaign of reach was pure hell for me. It took me 2 weeks, when I finished the covenant carrier at the end, I screamed of joy.
  9. We sure do. Welcome Doom87er (even though I need to find my necronomicon, to get on your level of thinking.)
  10. I really really really dislike sarah palmer, she is overzealous. I disliked her the moment she said: "I thought you were taller." OH SORRY WHO JUST SAVED ALL OF YOU!?
  11. I us an AR, saying its a weapon without skill is an overstatement, It can easily defeat a BR or DMR user on medium distance and people who us it as a spray and pray weapon are using it completely wrong. The AR should be fired in bursts, from a close to medium distance and while straffing I have no difficulty to take down any BR user. The BR and DMR are for a more slower, more distance orientated style of fighting. I can run up to someone with an AR and still be taken down by a BR or DMR. It depends on the skill of the user, everyone can run and gun.
  12. First of all: This isn't the official 343i forum, this is a fan community. Second: your problem seems very odd. inlcuding not being able to switch specializations is also very odd. I recall you saying that in offline mode it seems to work, but connecting to online switches you back. I looked up your problem and apparently a lot of people are having this problem, the xbox support forums are full of threads specifically made for the halo 4 war games pass. It is a relatively new issue going back to the beginning of this march. According to MS it is an issue on their side, they are working on it. The error seems to be only related to the war games pass and has to do with a billing error, it recognizes the pass, but has trouble verifying it, making it seem it is downloading the map packs, but actually it faulted and does not work. My advice is to just wait. I am sorry mate
  13. It's Halo not borderlands. The games are known for their story lines. The last time they tried bosses we ended up with Halo 2. There could be more gore, but still completely limited. The Chief is a certified bad-ass. There is good covenant, but at this moment they are in a civil war. This game should never be like Killzone. weapon attachements will break the game and is completely unnecesary. about the emotional setting: CORTANA DIED! SHE DIED! *sob* *sob* Also the flood isn't gone, the grave mind is gone. The flood still live. The forerunners are dead, they sacrificed themselves to destroy the flood. Only the didact remains. Fully auto guns never shoot in a straight line. Loadouts brought your personal prefferences into the field, giving you the option to destroy enemies with your personal skillset. Ordnance is not apperant in some game modes.
  14. Welcome! Nice to see that devs are finding it interesting to join as well, good luck with your new job!
  15. Here is the thing, they are. when they implemented the spartan-IV's all of the remaining spartan 2s or 3s were implementend into this branch. officially they are spartan-IV's. unofficially they are still spartan 3s and 2s. The thing is that there is a lot of controversy about using children, the reason that Catherine Halsey has been branded a war criminal, so they thought that the best thing to do was cover it up and blame Catherine Halsey.
  16. Welcome to the community, but also welcom to the world of Halo, that feeling you have now? I had it 13 years ago when I played the first Halo, so be carefull or else you will be hooked forever!
  17. Bring it! HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A FRIEND SCORNED!!!!!!
  18. You need to make a bigger difference between intro, core review and your final thoughts. the other thing is, is that this looks more like a report, than a review. Try to talk about features in the game, try explaining why and how to work and give a stastical end report. You rather have no intro at all and your final score is jammed some where at the end. fun review, but you need to improve!
  19. That is one fine rule indeed. Plagiarism can really hurt a site, there are enough examples to list here, but still. ya got my support!
  20. Hello there everyone, it is me again. After being mentioned as a hot topic in the weekly wrap up, I felt really flattered. This post is a follow up post on my last one, but this one focuses on Facebook. Facebook has a lot of security options, most of them are as easy as selecting allow or don’t allow, but some require more thought put into it and some of them are downright sneaky. First of all the; fast menu, Which can be found under this very small button here, in the top right of your Facebook page. This menu allows you to change your settings on the fly, even though this may not be as elaborate as the advanced menu, but it may just be enough for some of you. Ah the advanced menu, accessible by clicking on “See More Settings” as seen in the image above. The advanced menu has two options for security that matter the most: Security and Privacy As seen below. First up: Security Security has the easiest settings on Facebook, most of these speak for themselves, just selecting edit and then select which option you prefer. Next up: Privacy The main option here is “Who can see my stuff?” (Facebook uses such "professional" terms!) As you can see, it shows the “what is on your mind?“ box. Here you can select what your preferred method for posting is. It does not remove older posts from unfriendly eyes so keep that in mind. The two options on the bottom are very important and are two of the sneaky options I mentioned before. Who can contact me: Here you can select people who can contact you. Select either friends from friends or everyone. Who can look me up: This here is very important. This gives you the option to change how people can find you and even if people can find you using Google or any other search engine like Bing or Yahoo (why someone would use those is beyond my grasp.) Like I said before, PM me if you have any more questions about security. I made this follow up for уαηg χιασ ℓσηg, since he asked for a more detailed explanation of Facebook security. Au revoir!
