  1. Oh yes oh yes Adhesion tool all the way!! So many times I wished I could rotate a cluster of things.. .. or even a whole map Great idea!!
  2. as with most things - design is key but as others have said, i think the key is balance maps that are good run and gun maps that also lend themselves to stealthiless, ambush (open areas riddled with hiding places) organized comfrontation (flank routes, well planned attack paths, etc)
  3. cool idea i remember some knife/melee games in other games that were really fun in a full map any videos that include game play?
  4. i didn't know i had to do anything special for dynamic lighting but i'm at my budget limit already, and now i find out i'm probably gonna need budget to fix extraction, etc uh oh..
  5. with all that customization, i have an idea that the 3d rendering would be crazy with such an engine that would handle that i would guess it would probably limit some other aspects of the game/gameplay to be able to support that load im definitely no game programmer tho lol either way .. very good ideas
  6. you typed almost everything that i was think.. lol it would be sweet to have some "forge group play" game option.. where when you join the game, it would automatically loop through each of 1 forge maps from the players in the "forge group play" game. anyway,. i love the idea i'm interested
  7. im always trying to create a challenging "head to head" map. 2 teams.. where each team clearly "owns" and spawn from one side of the map, while the other team does the same thing on the opposite side of the board each team has to use a team play "strategy" or use small groups of people to advance and hold down areas of the board. i don't know if any of you played, but kinda like Killing Fields (small map) on Socom 3. .. although the forge board i'm working on is not exactly like that
  8. i agree. i think its very clean .. with a few issues there were mostly there on reach forge
  9. I'm still new, so sorry if I say something that's already been said. I don't have a problem with the lack of large boards cuz I made a no-vehicles map that ended up being larger than planned and it was simply too much running. People ended up playing in 1 central area and the majority of the board was ignored. I really don't get the race type maps anyway. I like playing a shooter as a shooter
  10. a good friend always advises me to not worry about trying to make the map compatible with so many game types, but i prefer to. still, with little documentation I found the zone aspects of forge confusing. what i tried was to remove all the non-zone objects from an existing board and studied how they set it up those objects. but i STILL have problems with Extraction and game types, I had Capture the flag working, but now my flags don't spawn I'd love some help with knowing the requiremetns for each game type as well
  11. Just curious, are you talking about bumps in the floor? or where flipped, non matched peices didn't z-align correctly? lots of complaints of no Forgeworld, but I found Impact to be close enough.
  12. Hello all, this is my 1st post !! Halo 4 forge is actually pretty sweet. I was able to put my map together waayyyy faster. I guess it helped that i knew the controls already, ...but it's still MUCH tighter than Reach forge. magnets are your friend lol i'm still adjusting extract points and stuff like that. i wonder why i always have to restart the video to make the beginning play..but anyway, here is the link to a preview of my map thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8X-t0yuwR8
