  1. These days 80% of the forged competitive maps i find are half-rock-half-block type maps and mostly seem to resemble a boxed in space. I want to make maps that brake this chain and i already have but i need some cool ideas that mostly involve map structuring and design but can also include aesthetics. Ideas are greatly appreciated.     Ideas GALORE!!!

    I think that in most of the playlists 343 should make atleast 1 choice possible for you to do regular halo style gun layouts(abandon on halo classic) where you automatically spawn with an ar and br or magnum.
  8. This guy has nothing in his fileshare and i dont want to download it off the computer because it always has a lot of bugs.
  9. From a couple of those screenshots this almost looks like a miniature urban city. The wiggles are ingenious and i may incorporate those into one of my maps. I get a really creepy vibe from this map and i feel like that is wasted by it being a slayer map. You should build a map with narrow pathways within a towering skyscraper.
  10. This is the simplified nuke-town of halo boxed-in and forged without rotation snap.

This map would be brilliant if you allowed center movement on the island either by raising the entire map or placing a second ring right below the island to allow convenient movement fro the main map to second ring to island. Adding the second ring may require more work but it will possibly play better than just raising the map itself. Also, i am guessing this is best for 6v6 gameplay?

  13. Does your clan have any halfway decent forgers preferably forge veterans? I have some skills but i havent player much matchmaking lately...
  14. I already watched a video and did the exact same thing they did but the flag spawned away from the flag objective.

  16. This brute idea actually came about when i was brainstorming neat ideas for those big mars monster guys in the upcoming game Destiny. "brutes"What i was thinking was that at any random moment in a wide open area a pack of gravity hammer brutes would blow up out of the ground and fly in the sky. When they reach the ground again the wack! the gravity hammer making a super-powered line blast on the ground(kind of cracking the ground and making dust so you can see the attack coming at you. I was also thinking you could implement this in matchmaking where you can fall from a high place and do this attack or use a jetpack to set it up easier! Flood firefight is self explanatory!!! I was also thinking that with this idea that the higher you fall from the stronger the attack and the attack uses twice the normal ammo of a regular attack and "somewhat" difficult to avoid(adding that extra level of difficulty in campaign!) A great counter would be jet pack, thruster pack, and hardlight shield(you take a little damage though). Seriously though, how often do you see someone use up their entire gravity hammer before they die- 20%/ 10%? i dont think the ammo requirement for the attack is an issue.
  17. true true but that wouldnt work in my case because i generally make my open ceiling maps i certain way depending upon the lighting effects but i can see the doing that instead.

  19. In halo 4 indoor maps look repulsive because of the lighting option. I was hoping that maybe you could turn off the dynamic lighting and by doing so prevent those annoying "generating lighting" moments in forge and possible extended budget! Please, 343 indoor maps are dying and all the arena style map have open ceilings to fix this issue.

  23. My friend downloaded forge islands and it wouldn't load in the lobby because it said he was missing the content. He re-downloaded it and it did the same thing? How do we fix this?

    team ordnance?

    ok.... so the team players with the most contribution get the choice first and the best choices or do they get the choices first. also, is there a point exchange modifier so that the people with the either ordnance and time can be exchanged for more points?

    It sounds like you want an ordnance checkpoint system where the team itself gets the reward no matter how much contribution certain members gained. Your idea was a little poorly worded but i think it would be nonsense for the to have to wait for the other to pick their ordnance. Also, it seems like it should have a timer on it. This would be interesting in custom games. You could have a team deadline to get the team ordnance or pass it and not get it at all.(200 points in two minutes) There could be a set time(first 2 minutes of game) or randomized(2 minutes of any time during game). Also, what would happen if you already have an ordnance and you get a team ordnance?
