  1. It doesn't matter what the one hit kill range is. If I have a shotgun or a sword and I get in close quarters combat with you, I should kill you every time. Changing the range doesn't change the fact that if someone is coming after you with a sword or shotgun, you can just go around a corner and come out and kill them in one shot before they can get you. This gun will always be OP until it is a one shot kill from melee distance or the OHK is taken away.
  2. Grenades are also a joke because of the explosives perk. Great idea to boost the damage of grenades, but WAIT, not only is grenade damage boosted, explosive damage verse the user is also reduced. That is a significant change in gameplay. It creates so much inconsistency because you have no clue who has the explosives perk on...like they should be one shot, but instead they are 3. They throw a grenade nowhere near you, and all of the sudden you are one shot. I wish there was a way to indicate who is using the perk.
  3. I did the same yesterday in Dominion and didn't get it either. I went 17-0, but the game said I only had a 15 spree too? For the weekly challenge, it doesn't say get 15 kills without dying in slayer gametype, it just says "complete a matchmaking game with at least 15 kills without dying"....so looks like 343 screwed up, again.
  4. I submit player reviews and avoid player for lacking skill whenever I see someone camo sniping or crouching with camo for the whole game. If everyone else did this, eventually, they would be having games where everyone is camo crouching the whole game and it would result in a 15 minute game of 4-2. And you really can't just ignore the camo campers if they are sitting at the flag or near a terminal in dominion. You have to do the objective but they can just sit there with camo for 45 seconds.
  5. I don't really play CTF because it's annoying. One of the problems is sometimes a team will enter the game with 5 people and be facing 2 people. They get a quick cap, and then just play slayer for the rest of the game or always have 3 guys defending. Here are 2 absolutely phenomenal suggestions for CTF which would make it more enjoyable: 1. Respawn Time Growth - I've encountered this problem on so many occasions. If you go to their base with 2 guys to capture it, and they have 3 guys defending, it is absolutely impossible to get the flag. Even though I can kill just about everybody I come across, it is physically impossible to kill 3 guys and get the flag out of there safely. Even if my other teammate and I kill them very quickly, they will have two guys respawning by the time we can grab the flag. 2. No Flag Touch for a Certain Time Limit (say 5 minutes) Results in Game Over - let's be honest, no one likes playing a CTF game when you have no chance of winning. I don't like entering games down 4-0 with 4 guys on their team absolutely not even trying to grab the flag, and no one on my team even trying to get the flag or able to touch it. This would prevent kids from being able to turn it into slayer for 10 minutes after getting the lead.
  6. This is what's wrong with Halo 4. When I get into games, I want to win games. I don't want to have a teammate who sits in a cave on Exile during Dominion and goes 9-0 getting meaningless kills. There is absolutely no point in trying to win the games, and it ruins the game for everyone who is trying to win. They definitely need to update something. I don't play this game by myself anymore because it isn't fun. You can't win objective games by yourself when you're the only one trying to win. A simple fix would be to add separate playlists: One called Social and one called Competitive, where people in social are there to mess around and hang out, and the people in competitive want to win.
  7. The Boltshot is far superior to the mauler. WAY more powerful and has much greater range. The great thing about the mauler was that it wasn't ever really a one shot kill, it was a one shot-beatdown kill. And you didn't freaking spawn with it...
  8. All they really have to do is remove the massive flinch you get while getting shot while using it. And I'm not sure of this, but does anyone else think you have to lead your target? It doesn't feel like hitscan to me since it's nearly impossible to hit someone strafing at a distance. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but it could also use a little bit more aim assist, I think.
  9. well I wish I could play bad kids instead of kids that only 5 shot people so I could actually have fun using other guns
  10. Automatic weapons are dying because close quarters combat is dying. You can thank the OPness of the DMR of people getting sniped anywhere on the map, the campiness of the Boltshot allowing kids to one hit kill, and promethean vision for never allowing you to get close to someone. Precision weapons still handle the automatic weapons at anything greater than about 3 times melee distance too. I've mastered the AR and will never touch it again. Not worth it. It takes way too much patience to get close enough to someone to be able to kill them.
  11. You are absolutely clowning if you think the AR is OP. Do me a favor and go get AR master. And then try to tell me it's OP. Cool it may take down shields, but it doesn't kill people. It takes more shots to kill someone than it does to take down a shield. You should never lose to an AR with a BR/DMR. If anything, I'd say slightly buff the AR.
  12. Just delete the DMR from the game. 100% serious. All the loadout rifles would then serve a purpose. Granted the Light Rifle would dominate on the bigger maps and in BTB, but shouldn't each gun serve a purpose anyway? You could dominate people who are in the open with the LR, but if someone happened to get close enough to them, they could take them out much more easily with a BR/Carbine. Guns would actually serve tactical purposes, unlike right now where you are at a disadvantage if you aren't using the DMR.
  13. ^False Considering the hitscan of the DMR and the huge amount of auto-aim, it is not inconceivable to consistently lose to it with a light rifle. The light rifle doesn't have too good of magnetism, the aimer is very difficult to tell if it is lined up on the enemy, and the shots also take a bit of time to travel to the target - almost seems like you have to lead your target. Oh, and if you are getting shot with the LR by the DMR, the amount of flinching you do is absolutely incredible, basically negating the quick kill time. Technically, the scoped LR does have the fastest kill times of all the rifles, so there has to be reasons people aren't using it. In a perfect world, yes the LR wins every time. But how come I'm not seeing people rape with the LR?
  14. I hate grenades more than anyone but taking them out of the game would be wrong. Removing the explosives perk would be a start. They could also do away with explosions blowing up grenades. Most grenade deaths come from people throwing 3 grenades in a hallway, the first explosion blowing up, pushing the next grenade closer toward you and blowing up before it normally would, and then comes in the 3rd grenade to do the same. 3 grenade explosions in less than a second and if they have a teammate around, it's just nade spam city. I feel like grenades are so damn inconsistent. It's not about shooting people 5 times, it's about hitting them with the smallest amount of nade possible and then 2 shotting them. Here's a good video to show what I mean if you aren't aware:
  15. Not a fan of the BR here, but I am now almost complete with BR mastery. The BR is a joke compared to the DMR due to the bullet spread of the BR. It makes it significantly more challenging to fully connect with shots, especially when people are moving and it just gets harder the further away they get. Throw in lag and it's just not even close to the DMR instantly hitting everyone with it's magnetism. Simple Fix - just switch the magnetism of the DMR and the BR
  16. You're right. I'd rather have them put up weekly challenges like "Get 200 kills with a plasma pistol"... The challenges give you very little XP so they shouldn't be too difficult anyways
  17. Grenades are already strong enough. Do they really need to be made stronger?
  18. Does anyone else feel like this perk greatly damages the game? I don't really have a problem with any of the other perks in the game, but when you start to change damage outputs, then that becomes a problem. It creates too many inconsistencies. You have no clue who is using it, so they may sit on a grenade and should be one shot but instead, they are still 3 shots. Grenades in general are a joke. Get touched by one and your one shot basically. The point of the game isn't to shoot people, it's to throw grenades and hope that they get hit by the smallest bit of the explosion and are then one shot. Not only do your grenades do more damage, you also take less damage from grenades. I was pissed off playing and decided to chuck 2 grenades at the ground real quickly with my explosives perk on right in front of me, and it didn't even kill me. And apparently explosives works with the sticky detonator too, which means it probably works with rockets and the other explosive weapons. Grenades are so unpredictable so I have a huge problem with it.
  19. No timing required. If I am in a close quarters situation with guys on radar, I am constantly charging my boltshot and switching weapons until they happen to push the corner. It's not like people are running out in the open with the boltshot (although I do try to out boltshot people who have DMRs at times ). Expending the whole clip is not a big deal. I rock dexterity at all times. The boltshot reloads instantly. Everybody has a boltshot so I never run out of ammo either.
  20. Implement both of these and the Boltshot would no longer be a problem: 1. Show up on radar when charging 2. Force the boltshot to fire once charging begins You would never be surprised by the boltshot. It would actually require timing and skill to use.
  21. I completed the AR mastery and haven't touched it since. It's not worth it. You have to be within twice melee distance to kill somebody shooting you, otherwise you will get 5 shotted before you can get the kill. It's not a dominant weapon. You leave kills on the table while using it. See someone one shot? Nothing you can do about it. You can basically only get 1 kill per clip with it too, which is not good enough. Those who say it is a noob weapon are just pissed that they get killed by it. There is nothing noob about using it at all. You can spray people with it from a distance, but you should have time to kill the AR user with a BR/DMR before he can land the kill shot. The only time you should ever die to an AR is if you get ambushed or are already low shields. If it was such a noob weapon, I don't think my KTD would have suffered dramatically and then dramatically increased once I start using the BR...
  22. The Boltshot being OP comes down to this. If I have a shotgun, sword, scattershot and am coming after you, the fact that you automatically have a one hit kill weapon which can beat me and my sword or other CQ weapon is not fair. Players aren't stupid. They don't charge up and come after you until they for sure can hit you. Someone coming after me with a sword means nothing. It used to mean sprint the hell away, toss a grenade, pray it puts them to one shot and you can turn and shoot them. Now it's let me pop behind this corner real quick, charge my boltshot and kill him. I can't tell you how many triple kills I have gotten while having no shields thanks to the boltshot. It is a joke that anyone wouldn't use it as a secondary unless using an automatic weapon.
  23. How about when you work your butt off to kill a guy with a power weapon and then your teammate runs up and takes the weapon? What makes me rage the most though are kids who play objective to boost their KTD. If you're so good, go play slayer. I'm not impressed by your 37-10 with no time in the hill or no time carrying the ball.
  24. well just got the map pack and played each of the new maps and I am severely disappointed. I find nothing about them intriguing. They just seem like a huge level with a big rectangular structure in the middle in each of them. I will probably never set foot in the Crimson playlist again. Why can't we get a level that is aesthetically pleasing? I would love to see some previous Halo remakes instead of some half-hearted maps
