  1. I'm not typing it's dead but H4 had a feel of ending and emotinally when i end somnething it is burnt and gone forever but! and i say BUT! Mass effect 3's end had to be redone and crysis just turned out to be flaccid so out of all those strange weird endings H4's was epic and adult.
  2. Halo 2 but Halo combat evolved had so much aspects of Rogue trooper in it that i was sure the bungie guys grew up on 2000 ad progs, it has that unknown mystery of being chased and landing on something that might be worse yet totally mysterious. Great story.
  3. Who would or could get any details from the teaser are not very experienced, if you look at previous Halo teasers there is no way one could use them to figure out anything. Other than the big ugly birdy thing that doesn't seem to have any recognizable features of a defensive/offensive machine, What is it? What does it do?
  4. How about a short powered exoskeleton that can do a lot of damage for the infantry man. You have the Mantis but it is clunky.
  5. Hood has managed to find him and redirected him to recover the janus key and bring back Halseys head for A.I scanning. Where would he be? On a mission? In a bar?
  6. Just for once, an Elite.
  7. The Haloverse has gone to hell so, in 7 years the Unsc would not have recovered much. You have ex-covenant refugees on earth and ad hoc colonies that don't recognize earth as their center and a broken up covenant empire that is ripping itself to pieces. the races are at each others throat with Oni agents out there edging factions against each other to keep them concentrated on themselves rather than looking at earth, it's gone to Hell. The fleet is decimated and we have only one Supership and a few S4's, not much when youy look at it so, H5's timeline would be better placed at least 4 years after the UrDidacts attack? I think it's time to get some real designers to look at what shape would be optimal for a warship that has to operate way out beyond the orion arm, even intergalactic. In space, long and rectangle just leaves you vulnerable to concetrated point attacks, if an attacker overwhelms your shields you still need a heavy point defense shield with primary and secondaries for ship to ship engagement. The classic rectangle is a joke and has been since they opted to follow in the wake of the Sulaco and babylon designs. They have forerunner tech now, they can redesign like what we have been doing with our units it's just we are constricted by our current level of technology and environmental restrictions. In space, there is none.
  8. At the very end when she had erected that hard light cube for the Chief she wasn't rampant, The Librarian did say to the Chief "Even your Ancilla Cortana" She had used the Urdidacts ships resources to her benefit and in the end was rampant free. Halseys report on the possibilities were unknown with Cortana. If there is a spike or fragment out there of her that was taken or left before H4 then it is only logical that fragment has no knowledge of the events after H2 or H3 unless the forerunner tech where ever in the Galaxy is is in sync or updates themselves on the current status of each tech via superluminal communication, The only pieces of tech that possibly would be outside this is the Halo's. Gspark stated this when it was telling the Chief about compartmentalization. The Safest bet is that a few spikes were still active in the Urdidacts suit and went with him where ever he went then possibly a fragment or residual imprint is leftover somewhere or as you stated in the other thread. You really want to read about true Epic galaxy spanning war with montrous ships whose A.I cores are organic and are crewed by replicant humans who if lost in war gets replaced by a younger clone of themselves which is kept on file by the A.I which are not conscious entities but are developing towards it and to add spice to the flavour. We're the bad guys or the good guys, it depends on what angle one looks at it from whatever characters perspective one takes. There is a great human Empire but under the iron fist of the law that takes no prisoners, human or non human and then there are outside forces that want to break the power of the law as well as internal conquered races that want one last stab at the great enemy. "The Dragon Never Sleeps" by Glen Cook, Pub '87 It's dated but it still out strips most sci fi today and it accurately portrays how sometimes Empires change over time or evolves as in this case. Not for the singular hero story fan also it changes the hyperspace jump system to a system that i thought was brilliant, it gives restrictions where there might be actual restrictions. I'm going to have to read those terminals again.
  9. Mate! that is some serious work, good on you! I've been trying to figure somethings Cortana says to the chief on the last mission in H4, There is the usual "I will always look after you" and "Get to the core!" and "Save them!" but there are a few or a couple of sentences i can't make out, I'm not saying can you have a look at it but there is something she says that is interesting to the Chief. "Chief I'm going to do something you might not like" The Chief asks "What did you do?" "I split off my rampant personality spikes into his system so i can overload his shield" It's not exactly the wording but the "Rampant personality spikes" is bang on.
  10. I'm going to ask the next obvious Q. Where and when did the chief first meet Mendicant Bias? On the Ark? If the trial audio is correct then there would be no fragments of this A.I anywhere?
  11. Thanks Admiral. This only points out i never followed the story properly, Lol. The Halo story is great but wait til you follow a story that has taken over 20 years to complete. Robert Jordans "The wheel of Time" series. 14 books, the first written in 93, the last completed last year by Brandon Sanderson who was chosen by Jordans wife to finish the series when Robert died. The E3 trailor can't be used other than there are new things to face. Remember H3's first trailor? and H4's first trailor? There was not much to go on, they were just teasers. Have you a link to your transcryption?
  12. Hey? that quote that was used to bring about the bias theory, where in all the books is that? I haven't caught up on any new material, is that in a new book?
  13. Don't go off the trailor, none of the previous trailors held much infomation to glean off. The chief wearing a cloak looks like it is just for effect as well as the sphynx. In fact the whole trailor looks like a blind and a first look at what you will have to face, that's all.
  14. H5 is the darkest of all the games that has come before. In this game the Chief turns on us as he hunts for Halsey, his one goal is to bring her along to find one of cortana's personality spikes that she split off during the last mission in H4. It's in the Didacts armor. What he doesn't want to face is whether it would take halsey's life to bring Cortana back. He knows this but hopes it won't come to him making that decision. This is great, nothing like a speculation session.
  15. Since the Matrix 1999, That franchise sparked off everything, now i prefer to watch old cowboy and war movies, nothing today seems realistic. The women are flat chested toothpicks with the strength of the chief and the men are perfect teethed roid freaks with spray on tans even when they are covered in mud. The original Django was Italian and the original Fast n the Furious was made in 1942 and this has nothing to do with my callsign.
  16. At the moment of tapping this a scenario popped into my mind. They say H5 is going to be the DARKEST of the Reclaimer trilogy, so we have the chief wandering around somewhere alone. He's been given special leave or is on a black ops mission with no fixed objective or just been allowed to go off on his own with the suit, who knows. Most probable outcome with the information available to me is he's going after Halsey and he's going to force her into having her brain mapped for A.I initialization, she's a criminal now, up for grabs and most probably considered a wipe job. Franky is around my age group and is probably going to utilize a Empire Strikes Back variant plot. He gets Halsey, plugs her in and what comes out is not what he expects. It's not her or anything close, instead it's devoid of anything human, it's a Sanghelion hybrid human rampant A.I bent on revenge and it gets out. It's all spec but that's what keeps the interest alive with any story.
  17. You know what i like about this forum? is the maturity i find here amongst usually a storm of bruised ego's on other forums, I'm 43 and like the creativity and sense of communal spirit here. Trust me, the usual places i roam where people of my own age group and older gens go usually end up all of us just wanting the Forum Romanum standing ovation and golden wreath to go with the purple. Brilliant DD and a promising interviewer, well put together Ave man! Ave!
  18. Hmmm i wonder if anyone from xda will try and port it or, hmmm? I wonder if i can dual boot wins on my note 2?
  19. Yes the Ur Didact can withstand his own tech as well as just about anything we throw at him, in the C.E vids his last metamorphosis made immune to the composer but still vulnerable to the flood. I agree and millions of us out there do as well believe he transported to another Promethean installation where as you said he was addressing an audience, whether they were his prometheans or actual forerunners of different castes is yet to be revealed. He's out there somewhere. I bet he took a fragment of cortana with him without him knowing it. He could have been addressing a group of old copied forerunners, memory dummies, as he asks why they accuse him. In H4 he came out of stasis full of wrath because of his wife's betrayal. He spent a 100,000 years alive and conscious in stasis and quite possibly the only living forerunner left alive anywhere so his anger would be psychotic in level but time usually changes you and in his case he should of come out a gibbering mess. And Bornstellar, What happened to him? Is he dead? Here's the kicker. Why would the top echelon race in our galaxy decide to suicide when the halos fired? Why didn't they disperse and go off beyond the rim?
  20. The Bornstellar Didact and the Ur Didact/ Librarian triangle is an old plot device with a twist, the same man/forerunner instead of another man. It's quite intricate. The Ur Didact. Why does he despise humanity? Is it because of the war that he was forced to wield against us? Is it because his wife dedicated everything to us to ensure we would take over the mantle once the word was given that the halo's would be fired? Does he blame us for the destruction of his people and their Empire? Does his hate stem from the forerunners inability to stop the flood and his wife's confidence in humanities qualities to be better than them? What else can anyone see that can add to the Q's here.
  21. There are two possible answers to this Q. 1) She accessed the suit via wireless and for a moment created a within his mind using the Didacts system resources a vr cube where she could interact with the chief for a time. 2) Using the Didacts ships hard light emitters she created the hard light space and a projection of herself to say goodbye.
  22. Remember when Cortana said to the Chief in campaign "They might even give you another me if Halsey allows it" This could be 343's way of setting it up for halsey's character to either clone herself again or she allows herself to be mapped for the sake of refurbishing another cortana or the chief finds a fragment of the original but needs halsey to decide. They had to get rid of Requiem. Now the story is in free fall again and can be taken to where ever rather than be stuck around Requiem. It would be great to see mixed units of old covenant wanting to be unsc citizens allowed to serve, it kind of looks funny how these squishy pink things managed to get the upper hand over several races. It would be even better if we had our own combat droids to help the smaller original humans to help balance it out a bit.
  23. Yeah, pulled this last month....January it came out or was last year?
  24. Then you need to download off of MS their controller software, i just don't know if they have it on their site. I went out years ago and got their cabled controller and it came with the disk for the older windows versions. Have a look around for MS 360 usb controller software.
