  1. i just had a new theory about the skulls. In the time of the forerunners, they transfered human consiousnesses into monitors. 343 guilty spark was once an ancient human by the name of chakas(i know i didnt spell it correctly) maybe they have human consiousnesses inside of them, and they have possibly gone mad?? just a rough theory
  2. it may be possible that requiem moves on its own , but the infinity was sucked in. In the live action trailer, the ship was EMPed from that orange glow thing and its no accident that it flew strait through the opening of requiem. Same with the remains of the Forward Unto Dawn. If it was breached, the Covenant purposely went in there. The Didact may not be able to use the covenant technology to get as far as he needs to, and deemed them as useless. Then he decided to suck in whatever ships happened to come by, so he could eventually find something suitable for his purposes
  3. its a little hard to fully see it with the mouth wide open, buts its human for sure and it may be possible that it has no specific purpose. 343 may have made it that way without considering a background story for it i mean no hate to 343i
  4. The "other" Didact put his imprint on Bornstellar. Now that the orignal Didact is dead, his consciousness lies in Bornstellars body. and forerunners are 4 meters tall.......not close to a human
  5. i'm sure everyone thought it was pretty sweet when that Promethean knight tackled chief and screamed in his face during the campaign gameplay, and we all saw the skull. But lets think about this, it was a human skull....... why would it be human?? There are probably no humans on Requiem, and its most likely that chief was the first human there. My best theory is that it sign of hatred from the Didact. A skull represents death and its human skull.....because Didact hates humans. Otherwise i dont have any explanation for this......it seems so odd now that i have thought about it. anyone know what the prupose of it is?? Edit: this is getting even more puzzling. stop this vid at 0:58
  6. it would add some new diversity to game if it ended up that way. Players can feel more comfortable working with their best weapon of choice. and am i the only one who prefers the DMR for swat????.....
  7. well regarding color customization in halo 4, they have new armor skins. Its like a pattern on the armor and you determine the colors in the pattern. The preorder ones look really sweet
  8. umm, i dont see any responses from Sierra 1117 on this topic. Is it on a different thread?? anyways, the covenant on requiem could be reamining covenant from the end of halo 3. They could've escaped the blast radius of the ark and made requiem a temporary home. You said they wouldnt have been able to get that far with their tech..... but maybe the problem is they cant get back to the galaxy on their own. ohhhhhhh crap........... new thought....scary..... the infinity made it all the way to requiem, Correct?? what if the Didact makes a truce with covies and they try to use the Infinty to get off of requiem together..... that would be a tough alliance to beat
  9. i'm sure everyone has had these problems one time or another, but the banning system should be fixed up a little. For example, if at least half of your team has quit in a game (and you're destined to loose), you should be able to quit the game and not have it count as quiting. Its never fair when you have a few noob teamamtes who back out before the game even starts, so why should you get punished for trying to have fun?? its no fun playing when you're getting wrecked, so you just quit and try to get a good game in a different lobby. But my point is, if a minimum of half of your team has quit, you should not be penalized for quiting
  10. i'm for this idea. reach never did stuff like the sword fights and rocket fights like in halo 3
  11. well, it woulnt be hard for the covenant to find requiem considereing its been like 4 years since the end of halo 3. plenty of time. and if the didact needs the infinity, you can assume he doesnt have any other way to leave requiem. Otherwise, who else would chief even be talking about???the ghost of sgt johnson?? no! and, who else would want to leave a forerunner shield world? a forerunner maybe....the covies have ships, its impossible for the flood to even enter, and the chance of there being precursors is very slim. And you can also assume he doesnt have ancillas with him.All evidence points to the didact....... i dont see how people still say Didact is not an antagonist and stuff
  12. if you havent noticed, elites have not been playable in every halo game. How can you say it is your halo identity if you havent played as one since the start???? spartans have been there in the long run so they cant be complained about. If you complain about playing as a spartan, you obviously have a problem with halo, because spartans are the backbone of all the gameplay. Elites were just a little experiment that went completely wrong and destroyed halo haha just kidding but the elites are not allies in halo 4 like in some of the previous games, so they cant be playable if they are an enemy
  13. sprint is a defualt control, so you probably cant take it out, we dont know yet. Weapon drops can be toggled with
  14. when chief said he knew what he saw, he knew it was forerunner. he wouldnt know that is it the Didact specifically. or maybe he did talk to the Didact. Remember at the end of the campaign demo, chief was knocked out. The prometheans could've taken him to the Didact and they could have conversed. If the Didact kept chief alive, he obviously wants something from chief. Maybe he wants to use him to gain access to the Infinity, because the chief sounded like he knew his plan already. And the Didact put his imprint on Bornstellar, so it is not the orignial Didact, but its the same consiousness. In your reference to the books, it would have to be portrayed that way. the story revolves around the forerunners and they couldnt be portrayed as evil. Even If the main character in a book is a villian, you normally start to respect their point of view over a period of time. You end up wanting the best for them. In the books, the Master Builder and others are seen as enemies to the Didact. In this halo saga, Chief is the main character, so we now see the Didact as an enemy. The didact does have a hatred for humanity, because he was a leader in the forerunner-human war, all of his offspring were killed in that war, and he does not accept the fact that humans are spposed to inherit the mantle. and about the breach....its obviously the covenant. It not like those covies were there since it was made, so they obviously breached it. Otherwise, they wouldnt be inside
  15. no its not. The special edition comes with bonus armor skins and an assualt rifle skin(plus all the other cool stuff). Standard version does not. If you preorder either version, you get the pre-order skins as though
  16. i assumed that, i just didnt think anything like that would available to view during comic-con
  17. interesting idea, but no way. The differences between halo and cod are what makes people like them. it would be impossible to combine them without upsetting a lot of people. For example, how would you change the scoping to fufill the needs for both fans?? Firing from the waist and then aiming down with an AR. No chance. i can see where your idea is coming from with halo getting custom loadouts and black ops 2 taking place in the future, but it would be impossible to please the fans for both games
  18. i do wonder how this vid got leaked though. It seems to give so much away in such a short amount of time..... i should probably add spoiler as a tag or as part of the title
  19. you have a good point, but why would the prometheans have two different colors? it cant be rank, because each type of promethean(revealed so far) has been seen in both colors. Also, why would they have authorities? if they are non-organic AIs, they are most likely controlled by one leader. You have strong evidence, but i cant seem to reason with it. The only answer would be corruption. as stated before, blue is significant color to the forerunners. Why would some of their technology end up orange unlike the rest? corruption. There is another topic(in halo 4 forums) with a halo 4 cutscene and they are talking about the Didact wanting to use the Infinity to escape requiem. The prometheans on requiem were probably programmed to remain there and protect the planet. Since the Didact wants to escape, he has probably corrupted some to do his own dirty work to find a way off the planet. The rest have not been corrupted due to this mysterious leader that we have yet to find. This is only a theory, you might want to check out the cutscene as well
  20. in the multiplayer trailers though, you heard his voice. Its the same one in the E3 gameplay. I dont like the new style of it though, he sounds too excited like hes announcing a sports game
  21. it would be fun to have both but if i had to choose spartan ops> firefight its like a new campaign mission thats fresh each week, and you can continue to play the ones that have already come out. R.I.P. firefight
  22. If you cant choose a species for your player in the multiplayer, its not like it suddenly changes when you play offline. you people need to stop worrying about the elites. all of this complaining is getting old and it wont make a big difference wether they are in halo 4 or not. I dont see what the problem is with playing as a spartan, but why are so many people desperate for elites?? its a stupid argument and starting more topics about elites will not get us anywhere in halo 4. Please, no more complaining......... start hoping for them in halo 5 or something. They are not in halo 4, cope with it
  23. i think it will have a new gameplay style of its own. Some parts seem like halo 3 and reach mixed together. but with all of the customization and diversity being put into the game, it should have a new feel
  24. Keep it like halo 2 and 3. Without the reticule moving, it gives a bit more confidence when you need to hit that final shot to get the kill. In reach, it was more like "please hit him! please hit him!". It also helps the gameplay move a bit faster because people arent watching their reticule the whole time trying to pace their shots
