  1. I don't like it, but I'll have to get used to it. It'd be nice if at the beginning of the game you could select which armor permutation he wore throughout the campaign. I'd go with the H2 armor for sure.

    Stop complaining

I agree with OP. I found a couple of changes to each Halo game that i didn't care for, but eventually you forget and move on. Starting a topic about how you're going to sell your xbox because you disagree with new changes sounds very reactionary and pretty extreme to me.
  3. Vitriol. Mean-spirtedness for the sake of being mean-spirited. It's depressing.
  4. Director, I think asthetics are important along with gameplay. I'm very attached to the classic look of MC and the BR. I am not "looking for a reason to complain" I just want to be heard much like yourself, afterall, that is what message boards are for. I have a different opinion than you, but unlike you I don't feel the need to insult people and call them "simple minded" to validate my claims. That's just rude.

    halo 4 vehicles

Warthog that weighs more than a couple of paper clips would be cool. Revnant was pointless. I'd love an elephant on a big map. Hornets or falcons would be cool. As far as forerunner vehicles? What a bout a hoverboard? All it would do is raise you a couple of inches off the ground and increase your movement speed, but how cool would it be to jump off while it's at full speed and rocket into battle guns blazin' Marty McFly style!
  6. No Hayabusa. No katanas. Who's with me?
  7. Maybe wherever it is he is at other ships got sucked there as well. UNSC and Covenant ships. I dunno.
  8. I'm glad assassinations are back. Also, we could be fighting covenant stranded in the same forerunner "world," but since they're not in contact with the rest of the covenant they have no knowledge that the war is over and keep fighting. I think they are the least of our concerns because there are automated Forerunner defenses that want to kill anything that moves in order to protect the Forerunner installation, much like the sentinels.
  9. I don't like it. I know they change his armor every game but this is the most drastic change. As I've said in another thread, if you showed me a picture of him in black and white with his face covered, I wouldn't know it's him. This is the first time I've been able to say that about any new armor MC has acquired. I also don't like the looks of the spartans in the mp footage they showed us. They look like Michael Bay's version of Transformers. Gross. The brightside of it all is that I'll get over it, and get used to it rather than start a thread about how I'm going to sell my xbox because 343 killed Halo.
  10. I would prefer they never showed his face, but if they do I hope it's at the end of 6. By that point he will have been in that suit a long time, so I would like to see him with long greying hair and beard. It would really show how worn and exhausted he would be after such a long odyssy and how deserving he is of a long rest, maybe even death.
  11. I think one of the biggest problems with Reach is how fragmented the MP community has become. The variety of play styles is out of control (TU or no TU? AA's or no AA's? Bloom or Zero Bloom? etc...). Sure H3 had a lot of playlists but it didn't seem like there were several different versions of the same game. That's why I'm hoping 343 is getting back to basics with H4. I didn't mind AA's in Reach, I just want 343 to have some balls and say "This is the game we made, love it or lump it." When the took over Reach they tried to make everyone happy which is extremely naive. People will either adapt or move on, 343 will just have to be patient and ride out the criticisms. It's what Bungie had to do with H2 and H3. I think 343 is great but still a little green. Eager to prove themselves. I guess what I'm trying to say is AA's are just another feature of Reach that polarized the Halo community. The closer this game is to H3 the more successful it will be imo.
  12. I hope it's through achievments like H3. I didn't mind the credit system in Reach, but with that credit system you got more AFKers, griefers, boosters, etc...
  13. So I went to the M6G page of the Halo wiki and it confirmed (well, as much as a wiki can confirm anything) that it is the M6G in that picture, but that doesn't mean it will be in the final game.

    M6G in Halo 4?

Forgive me if this has already been confirmed, denied, or talked about at great length. So I was looking through the "84 pics of Halo 4 thread" (http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/6473-84-detailed-halo-4-game-play-screen-shots-and-interviews/) and noticed on the 20th pic as you scroll down that MC has what looks like an M6G on his hip. Is the Reach magnum returning in H4? I'm hoping it will. The M6G is my favorite Halo pistol. Thanks for the discussion!
  15. I never thought of this. It would make a huge difference! Wow, I hope they're reading this. I have some of the same fears as the OP. Spartan IVs? That's really coming out of nowhere. I have read a lot of the books but not Glasslands. I'll pick it up and give a read but regardless of the explanation I feel like there has already been too much retconning in the Haloverse. I can only go along with so much. Nanobots? How convienent. Like I said I've only read 5 of the books and loved them all (except The Flood...Zzzz...). I'll pick up Glasslands and hope for the best. I promise I'm staying optimistic. One last thing: I think the new Spartan Armor looks rediculous. I can get past that and still enjoy the game, but man does MC look bad. Yes I know they updated him for every new Halo game, but no one can tell me that this isn't the most drastic change he's undergone. Seriously. If you covered his head and changed his armor color I wouldn't be able to guess that it was him and I'd imagine that's true for most Halo fans.
  16. @Absolute Dog That's been my concern, but I think maybe it's something you eventually get used to. Time will tell. Something else I worry about is clenching. I still inadvertantly zoom when taken by surprise, but not too often.
  17. Mr. Biggles toggling crouch is quite the endorsment. I'll have to give it a shot this weekend. Thanks, guys!
  18. When it was announced that Reach would have a reduced jump hieght I toyed around with the idea of toggling crouch. I still haven't done this, but after a several month hiatus from Reach I'm considering doing it when I return to the game. I'm pretty sure jump-crouching isn't as important in Reach as in other Halo games, and I never tea-bag so this might be the way to go for the sneaky spartan. What do you think? Is jump-crouching too important to sacrifice? Are there any forseeable problems with this that I may be overlooking? Thanks for the input!
  19. Also, I remember getting really good at dodging sword lunges in H2. Very satisfying when it's your only defense and you pull it off..
  20. I feel like sword block is very unHalo. I don't mind parry.
  21. I trust you will be putting it to music? Have you decided on a song?
  22. Just pick one and implement it. I can't believe how segmented this game is. I'll adapt to whatever they decide to do, I just want to play some Halo! I'm so sick of this crap.
  23. Thanks for the posts everyone. It sounds to me like 343i needs some backbone. You can't make everyone happy and trying to do so just leaves everyone unsatisified. 343i: implement your changes or don't. It's your game now, so act like it. It's inevitable that some people won't like it. It's naive to think you can please everyone. Thanks agian, guys!
  24. Thanks for your response. I liked what you said about BF and MW. Any fan of those franchises can pick up the controller and just start playing the new release without having to relearn anything. I've been playing Halo since H2 and have had no problem adapting to the gameplay, but until I read your post I've never asked myself if I should have to. That being said, once I get the feel for it I'm all good. In fact, I could care less if they go with TU or vanilla, I just wish they'd pick one so I knew what I was doing. I'll adapt to whatever they decide on, I just want to play some flippin' Halo! So is this all temporary? Will they decide vanilla or TU once and for all? Remember, I'm just coming back to Halo for the first time since Oct. Thanks!
  25. Haven't played Reach since before the TU. I've read about all the changes and I'm completely cool with them all but still have questions that I can't find straight answers to after searching these forums. What's up with the voting? We only have three options now and one of them is "None of the Above?" I hate bouncing back and fourth between TU and Vanilla. I play mainly TS, but sometimes TU is voted against. Am I missing something? Can the anniverary maps be played with bloom and TU? Does the TU apply to invasion? Will it be like this forever? I feel like now there's not a community of Reach players, but instead many subcommunities of Reach (What version of Reach do you play?). We're becoming more and more segmented. I appreciate all your help!
