There are only so many times a teammate can shoot you to call it an "accident." Stick an enemy and a teammate just so happens to start an assasination-BETRAYEL! Rockets locked on to Banshee and fire just as a teammate sky jacks it-BETRAYEL! Reverse the Warthog to pick up a gunner, whoops too much gas-BETRAYEL! Shooting an enemy Scorpion as a teammate hops on the back to plant a grenade-BETRAYEL! That's half the problem "blatant and more than once" that means they can do it multiple times, and more often rather than not someone will just forego exp for the launcher. Its always some goon who doesn't even understand how to use the item as well. A dude kept blowing me up while driving an hog during a game of ff, I wanted to improve my wheelman commendations. 3 times he'd done it and I never got a chance to kick his ass. As much as it sucks, don't betray people even if the betray you over and over and over. If they continuously betray, eventually unless they MOD the system WILL Grant you the oportunity to boot! When it does take your spartan boot and shove it up their @$$ As hard as you can! @ Konshens @ I think it has something to do with the "teach proper gameplay," but I have a very strong gut feeling that has nothing to do with it, becuase I've seen people do FAR worse things and nothing is done about them. @ PureNomad @ In a rockethog game, "team-mate" kept stunning my friend and I because we refused to simply kill people over and over and over. He ended sending me an Extremely Hateful message about how I suck and several other explicit words that if I were to state them on here a MOD would more than likely edit it, and give me a warning or whatever. Blue_Cheese Posted October 23, 2012 Report Share Posted October 23, 2012 i would say thanks to load outs betrayals may decrease in terms of players killing players for weapons. although im not sure how often people go for power weapons, because i only go after them if i happen to be near them or if the power weapons randomly spawn close by. but i never really made a point to get the shotgun, rocket launcher, or sword. i haven't played Halo's multiplayer since Halo 3 so im not sure if betrayals have really became an issue recently though, i wasn't fond of Halo Reach so i passed on the multiplayer in that game. But i never encountered too many instances of team mates purposely killing me. i maybe only was killed while playing on special ex playlist, or if i could tell they were attempting to get an achievement and i was in a vehicle or had a certain weapon they wanted, but that was only a few times. aslo it helps if you play matches with your friends, better teamwork, communication and overall experience, i honestly don't think i've chatted in a game lobby since the party feature for multiplayer games was introduced. One time in action sack, when it existed, I was racing the flag back to my score zone. I accidentally splattered a team-mate a few times, they some how kept getting in my way, one, two maybe three at the most. They started shooting at me and drastically slowing down our scoring process and essentially helping the other team win. I'm guessing they felt that the compeltely accidental betrayals should have warranted boots. However, becuase they didn't get them they ended up leaving. Keep in mind that we are a fan-made community forum, meaning we play Halo and do not work at 343. Just play with friends as often as you can, and give traitors bad profile reviews or block them if they start flaming you to avoid playing with them in the future. Or have some fun with us! Take part in one of our events or host an impromptu get-together of your own! We don't intentionally betray and aim to have fun. Point is, play with friends or play with us.
