Gauss Mantis with Shotgun Arm

Maybe instead of machine guns add a gauss cannon arm. And instead of rockets add a MASSIVE shotgun arm that one hits nearby vehicles. It's got long range, it's got short range, but way cooler weapons. Lets talk.

I would take an infinite supply, but if you give me this weapon I will rarely need replacements.

 

I definitely like the idea of vehicles having different weapon options like the warthog does. A vehicle is just the platform on which the weapon is mounted, no need to get so restrictive.

If the gauss arm would be a little weaker than the Warthog version, I would take this over the normal Mantis any day.

In that you had shotguns who shot fuel rod shots instead of pellets, which was awesome. And a sniper rifle that shot tank rounds.

It would be way to unstoppable maybe put one in the center of the map and that way it might be fair but it would still be to powerful.

And to balance the game more, add a br that shoots binary rifle shots when unscoped and spartan laser shots when scoped as a loadout weapon

If you replaced the rockets arm with a gauss gun that had a slow recharge between shots then that might not be too bad, it would make it more direct at vehicle kills but not too deadly against a few players advancing on it.

 

At the moment I have to say the mantis is pretty well balanced, I mean a few teammates helping it and it is very hard to kill.

The mantis now is already difficult to destroy. Imagine if they add on it Gauss canons...

Only if we get Scorpions with 120mm HEAT weapons, coxial machine guns and 250mm armour.

Add an automatic no-scoping Binary, tank shells, Didact's tele-power, x10 overshield, Promethean Knight minions protecting you, a fast firing Incineration Cannon and a Halo just in case these don't work

We were having fun in forge one night with a friend who mods. He made the Mantis a guass Mantis and also put the scorpion turret on it's side. Then we made the mongoose fly around like a banshee but shoot inceneration cannon instead of the regular banshe weapons. It was definitly fun to have a guass Mantis but far too overpowered for real matchmaking.
