Skins armor specific?

Are the pre-order skins usable only for the armors they are shown with (i.e raptor w venator), or can any skin be used w any armor?

Nice, I'm thinking raptor will look pretty sweet w some of the other armors...

Also, what about the helmet skins? Are those like separate skins or can they be "superimposed" over the full body skins?

i believe that any skin can be used with any armor...but really 343i has been very vague on how this will all work so who knows

I personally thing that the skins look prety sick on the armours their modeled on. only exeption being the circuit skin and oceanic armour.

No, nobody know much really, its all just suumtions and guesses from released pre-veiws etc.

We can only wait and see, I'm hoping we would be able to use the armor skins with different armor sets.

most replies say it is possible to do any combos, but i'm not so sure.

 

let me use some reach armor as an example: how could an armor skin fit on a spartan with EVA helmet, grenadier chest, one ODST shoulder, and a sniper shoulder??

@ Victory: i think the armor skins come in "pieces" so a shoulder skin, chest skin, helmet skin etc. Because some of the pre-order bonuses say they have a helmet skin, example Deadeye Helmet skin, thus I am assuming that the armor skins come in pieces. So you can mix and match armor and apply the skins as you please as well. But who knows

They showed every skin on a different armor. So maybe the skins will really be armor-specific. Or maybe they just wanted to show off more armors that way. Nobody knows yet

I highly doubt that the skins will be armor specific. That would limit the customization that 343i is syaing Halo 4 is full of. I think they were showing the skins and just using the armor as a model for the skins.

FALSE- There will be different selections depending on which armor you select. However most will have the same, but some skins will be limited.

I could see some skins being limited, but I still think you can pretty much use any skin with any armor combo

Does anyone know if a skin only has certain colours or just the pattern and the colours can be changed

@mACca431: Under the description of the pre-order bonuses, it clearly states that the colors can be changed. So yes the colors of the armor skins can be changed to whatever colors you want. You could have the WEB skin and make your guy look like a Pink and Blue spider woman lol
