  1. Hola amigos, you may know me by a host of different names, some call me Edward, some call me Vin, but one thing everyone knows me as is The Director (of the WNW)! For those of you that might not have known, this wasn't actually started by me, it was pioneered by Archangel Tyrael, so thank him for all of these reading sensations. Anyways, let's get down to it! We have Collector's Editions, Achievements, and more! View attachment: WNW 92014.JPG Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Achievements Revealed Are you one of the six people left on the earth that is excited for the next Call of Duty? If so I have good news, as a full list of achievements for the upcoming game Advanced Warfare have been revealed, thanks to IGN.com. While I can't list all of them here, a few notable ones are Carma, which you earn by killing an enemy with a car door, Maximum Overdrive, killing 50 enemies with your Overdrive ability, and Where Are You Going, by taking out an AST with an EMP grenade. And of course alongside these you have your typical campaign completion achievements for all 13 missions, and completing the entirety on the different difficulties. As well achievements for doing certain activities with your new EXO abilities are riddled through the list. Five achievements have yet to be revealed which look to be tied to an unannounced game mode, possibly an Extinction or Zombies mode. View attachment: cod_xbox360.png Are you amped up to earn all these new achievements/trophies in the game when it releases? Discuss below! Bloodborne Collector's Edition and Release Date Revealed When Bloodborne, From Software's (not from Software, the company's name is From Software, seriously) newest Action RPG from Dark Souls fame, was revealed at E3 2014, jaws were dropped and hype levels increased, so I'm sure you're just as eager as I am to find out a release date. GameSpot.com reports that at TGS this year the game was announced to have a confirmed release date of February 6, 2015 in North America and Europe. As well, a Collector's Edition was revealed, for a price of $79.99 retail price. It will include a Steelbook, the game itself, an Artbook, and the soundtrack. As well, a closed beta for the game was recently announced, with Sony Europe sending invitations. The game will release on the date above exclusively for PS4. View attachment: bloodborne-collectors-edition.jpg Are you picking up the Collector's Edition, the standard edition, or none at all? Let me know below! Destiny Breaks Twitch's Streaming Records, 20 Million Views Destiny can't seem to get out of our minds no matter what we do, it's like Activision has created another smash hit marketing machine that will last decades, and proof of this is some new record news from Twitch. GameSpot.com gave the news that Twitch announced for Destiny, how it had broken previous streaming records. Almost 240 Million minutes of streaming gameplay was recorded for the game, and videos garnered over 20 Million views. The game had made over $325 Million in revenue in the first five days alone! It seems to have outperformed nearly every game this year, even the huge hit Watch_Dogs. Twitch's marketing executive spoke on the matter, saying, "To date, Destiny is the biggest console game launch of the year on Twitch. Our passionate community of broadcasters attracted more than 5 million unique viewers in the first week." Bungie's community manager David Dague also commented, calling it nothing short of amazing. View attachment: Destiny_090914_16001.jpg What's your take on this news? Does Destiny deserve the attention it is receiving? Debate below! Thanks a lot for reading, a lot of this news was planned the night before, so I apologize if these articles don't seem insanely 'fresh'. Have a great day, and stay sexy people. Oh and by the way ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)‎
  2. Hello everyone and welcome to... Wait... TWO WRAP-UPS IN ONE?! Yes, you read that right, because I missed posting last week's WNW, even though I finished it, I will be posting both here! Due to the sheer size however of six articles in one (five articles and one surprise actually), if you read this now you're only going to see 4 or 5. I'll edit more (or if there's five than the final one) later, I promise, but 6 articles isn't easy to do heh. Anyway, let's do this! View attachment: WNW 92714.JPG View attachment: WNW 100414.JPG Total War: Attila Announced! If you're one of the four people that wasn't disappointed in Creative Assembly enough to boycott their products, than I have great news! IGN.com reports that Total War Attila, the newest entry in the Total War franchise, has been announced! The game will feature the historical figure, Attila the Hun, and run for 60-70 years in-game. The main event in the game will be Attila's rise to power, when he is born and reaches adult-hood in 395 AD. You can play as either the Old Roman Empire or the New Roman Empire, but the most risky approach is being around the steppes in the Far East, where Attila will spawn. The only strategies are to attempt to divert Attila to enemies on the map or to defend yourself as best as possible. As well, new features have been added like the ability to raze cities when they are too damaged and a damage count from sieges to your defenses. Total War: Attila will release next year exclusively for the PC. View attachment: 10155216_709997619075441_8464220298784988540_n.png Are you going to purchase Total War: Attila? Let me know below! Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Nathan Drake Render Revealed Fans of the Uncharted series by Naughty Dog have been scraping at the facets of every little detail to find some new piece of info to quench their urge, prepare to be quenched in this case. GameInformer.com reported on one of Uncharted's game developers, by the name of Kurt Margenau, posting what looks like an in-game render of Drake's face. This was posted to celebrate Naughty Dog's 30th Anniversary this week, honoring all of their past titles, (except Crash Bandicoot). It is clear that this is an upgrade, with more detail going into Nathan's face alone than ever seen in an Uncharted game. Drake looks quite a bit older as well, with a rougher face than we last saw. It is unknown how far into the game this photo is, or if more work will be done to the render, so expect changes from what we see here when the game launches next year. View attachment: drakenextgen_610.jpg What do you think of these next generation visuals, could they be better? Debate below! Ryse: Son of Rome PC Version Removes Micro-transactions Are you excited for Ryse: Son of Rome coming to PC? Yeah, me neither, but anyway the game will be removing the Xbox One's addition of micro-transactions according to GameSpot.com. Crytek attempted to explain how the game wasn't just cashing in on a dying title, with the removal of microtransactions, new visual features, etc. Among other things, they gave the usual explainations of improved visual textures, all the downloadable content, and all that other juicy content that no one asked for and no one wants. One actually kind of interesting new addition though is support for the Xbox One controller for the game on PC. It will launch on October 10th, so go pre-order now! Or don't, doesn't affect me. View attachment: ryse_son_of_rome_game.jpg Are you picking up Ryse for PC? If so, tell me how it is! If not, why? Discuss below! Okay, now for round two! Police Called Into Gearbox Studios for Bomb Threat As if people weren't doing enough illegal or flat out crazy things in the gaming industry, we can now worry about car bombs near studios. This article was reported by GameInformer.com, today, Texas police were called in to the Gearbox Studios parking lot with reports of a car bomb. Randy Pitchford, who was in the building at the time, sent out a hail of tweets updating the situation as it went on. Police weren't able to find anything, however it is unclear if this was even a threat or possibly a 'Swatting' scenario, swatting being someone calling the police to an address despite nothing unusual going on, usually a form of trolling. Nothing is known besides the fact that everything is all clear at this time, though I'll update if I find more info. View attachment: Borderlands_the_PreSequel_Wallpaper1_-_preview.jpg What is your take on this information? Do you believe the amount of force sent to the location is justified? Do let me know! The other two articles will be added later, for now though, thanks for reading, ciao!
  3. IGN caught up with Bungie's community Deej to get a quick interview with him about destiny from gamescom, he gives a quick briefing about features, types of weapons and classes So here is the interview.
  4. A new Halo 5 multiplayer modus in the making! Although we don't have much info on the upcoming Halo title we now do know 343i wants to implement a new modes in the Halo 5 multiplayer. 343i has started hiring for a person who can: -Implement and execute competetive multiplayer features -Fine tune the existing multiplayer experience -Create and implement a brand new multiplayer modes Now the last one seems highly interesting since even 343i doesn't know what it'll be. Although they would have to give their blessing first. What kind of modes would you like to see in Halo 5? "And now for something completely different." Destiny will have no initial PvP. Got the game and wanna shoot some other players? Tough luck, because Bungie has made it so that you'll first need to play a couple of hours before you can blast your opponents to bits. Now I know this sounds bad but there is logic behind this madness. In Destiny you will start without a 'super attack' and without this you'd be completely destroyed by opponents who do have this ability. And who likes getting blown up without defence? In order to 'unlock' competetive multiplayer you'll first have to complete several missions, get you super attack and find a special weapon. Only then you'll fully understand how the game works and you'll be on your merry way. See at as some kind of tutorial. There hasn't been much info on the competetive multiplayer side of Destiny so far. Keep an eye out on E3 this year. Do you like the way Bungie handles this situation? As always leave answers and comments down below! Thank you for reading! 5. A New Trailer Of Bungie's New Gaming Frontier: Destiny Has Hit The Internet. At PS4 release yesterday, Bungie showed us another peek into their new and expansive world. In this trailer we see The Vex another one of the "Unknown Enemies", we see a new environment, and possibly another hint at some multiplayer. Here is the trailer brought to us by: VISO Games http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uyn-BXeaaE Then if we look back and break down what we saw there are some key take home pieces of info that we got out of this new trailer. Lets here what Above Infinity from GoBeyondEnt has to say about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OMOtKIaWs0&feature=c4-overview&list=UUS0qH6GMm_abVn-bmOgy1qQ Destiny is slowly showing us how much it has to bring to the table and it is a lot at that. What do you like most about this new trailer is it the new moves/trump cards or is it seeing that cool zero G fight scene? Leave your comments below and thanks for reading.
  6. View attachment: lepng.png Hey guys, getting on the bandwagon here like I usually do, I've decided to unbox my Destiny Limited Edition for Xbox One. Please do enjoy the video, and let's hope P34nut or whoever it was doesn't decide to make a meme of my face like he did with Church. Bleep Bloop, RSR gave me permission to post this before ye go and rage below.
  7. In one of Destiny's new marketing campaigns, a hidden emblem has been found, and I'm going to show you the steps to get it! Destiny has had a wide array of viral campaigns and marketing ploys, however this interactive campaign launched in partnership with Google is something special. Destiny Planet Viewer, as it is dubbed, can be visited at DestinyPlanetView.com, and it allows people to examine the planets in Destiny in depth. On each planet there are hotspots, and visiting all of them on all planets will unlock something when Destiny launches, an emblem. When you reach all of them (or use the code I'll display here if you want an easier venture) the game will give you a code, 7F9-767-F74, which is the same for everyone so just entering the code on Bungie's site is really all the effort that's needed. The unlocked emblem is dubbed 'The Sign of the Finite' and looks to be a cobalt blue patchwork emblem. View attachment: image.jpg Picture credentials to MoreConsole, check out his video on the subject. What do you think of ad campaigns unlocking items in the games they advertise? Let me know below! Thank you very much for reading.
  8. It's a bit later in the day then when I'd usually write the wrap-up, sorry, had a buddy over through the night and got very little sleep so I slept during the day. Anyways, let's get on to the wrap-up! In the aftermath of all the gamescom announcements we have some exciting news so stick around! New content, timed exclusives, and more! View attachment: WNW 81614.JPG Tomb Raider 2 is a Timed Exclusive Says Phil Spencer The most controversial announcement from Gamescom was without a doubt the announcement of Tomb Raider's exclusivity on Xbox One, with many flipping out and taking to their blogs and YouTube Comments Section areas to rage at Microsoft and Square Enix, some even going as far as sending death threats to Lara's voice actress and Microsoft as a whole. Eurogamer.com reports that these angry people can ease up, as the game is only timed and will come to PS4 and PC eventually. In an interview with Eurogamer, Phil Spencer said, "I didn't buy the IP. I didn't buy the studio. It's not mine. Where this thing will go over time, just like Dead Rising or Ryse, we'll see what happens with the game. I don't own every iteration of Tomb Raider." He shared his sympathy with people on other platforms, understanding how they would feel alienated from a long-time franchise suddenly moving. He does confirm however that he doesn't own Tomb Raider as an IP, and once the deal is over he doesn't know where it could go. Note: For the love of god don't read the comments section to this article, you'll lose a metric ton of brain cells. View attachment: rise_of_the_tomb_raider_2015_game-wide.jpg What's your take on Tomb Raider being a timed exclusive to Xbox, should it be a full on exclusive or is sharing it with the rest of the community the right thing to do? Debate below! Destiny DLC Leaked in 2013, Just Realized Now Something that might surprise you was in 2013 when Diablo 3: The Reaper of Souls was announced, the name 'The Dark Below' was brought up as a possible name for the expansion or something related to Diablo, turns out it was for Destiny, as we now know. GameInformer.com reports the story, also saying DLC was also trademarked before a World of Warcraft DLC, linking it to World of Warcraft as well. Activision handled the situation well, not getting involved, as it would've likely tipped off the fact it was Destiny. Theories included the name of a new World of Warcraft game and possibly a new Blizzard IP. The Dark Below was officially announced when the Ghost Edition, Limited Edition, and Digital Guardian editions of the game were announced, and it was confirmed at Gamescom it would launch in late 2014. View attachment: wallpaper_destiny_15_1366x768_by_sinfulndelicious-d770ms3.jpg What do you think of the fact that something so wrapped in shadow and essential to Destiny was leaked so early in it's development? Please do discuss it below! Titanfall: IMC Rising DLC Announced We started this series off with the first Titanfall DLC, then continued recently with the second, and it seems we're now ending the Titanfall DLC trilogy with the final add-on announcement! Titanfall.com officially announced the DLC to the rest of the world, it first being revealed at Gamescom this year. The DLC contains what each DLC before it has, 3 maps, Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap, details on each scant. It will run you $9.99 or $24.99 for the season pass to get all three for a value. A release date has not been announced yet, though I would estimate the DLC should launch sometime in October or late September at the earliest. This DLC pack and Frontier's Edge (the last one) seem to have an increased focus on the IMC rather than the Militia, as the only DLC pack to showcase the Militia on the cover was Expedition. This could be a hint at the direction of future titles, possibly IMC winning the war? View attachment: Titanfall-DLC3-Key-Art-Hor-wLogo.jpg Do you own the Season Pass and are you picking up this DLC? Let me know below! Thank you very much for reading! Thank you again everyone for reading the wrap-up, I do hope you enjoyed it. I hope to see you all next time on the next Weekly News Wrap-Up. We'll be right back after the break, take it away Jimmy! *Conan reference here for Yoshi*

  11. So, recently as a good amount of us have been enduring the darkness and pushing it back, we've also been collection some engrams. And, the Cryptarch as the silly fellow he is never really gave up Legendary items. Thanks to Bungie hearing the plea of us guardians, here's their response to this issue. "Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly. Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items, including Materials or Exotics Rare Engrams will always produce Rare or better quality items Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items" That means our blue skinned friend won't be trolling us all for a while... Hopefully. In other news, we also have some changes to Vanguard Strikes. These will now give us Legendary/Rare Items or Engrams aside from the normal rewards you'd recieve. We also get to see certain materials such as "Ascendant Materials" in general become Legendary to match what they are normally associated with. NOTE: All Legendary Engrams will be turned to Rare Engrams when the patch rolls out. Here's what Bungie had to say about this - "Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already..." Praise the Traveller! 18. Bungie and Activision's newly released smash hit IP Destiny has now garnered over 500 million dollars in game sales being shipped to stores, meaning Activision has now broken even on marketing costs. If you haven't heard someone mention Destiny, whether you've got your mind wrapped around what exactly the game is or not, you've either been living under a rock or have forgotten someone mention it, which is highly unlikely since it's been talked about nonstop. Polygon.com reports that all that talk really did work out in the end for Activision and Bungie as the game has earned over half a billion US dollars in worldwide shipping to retail stores on the game alone. This massive earning makes Destiny the biggest new game franchise launch title in history, surpassing anything before it in terms of hype. However, just because the game has been shipped to stores doesn't mean all those copies sold, but it is a good estimate as it shows the expectations companies had for the game. Activision has yet to release actual sales on the game itself, but estimate it to be quite high, possibly even beating last year's colossal Grand Theft Auto V launch. Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard CEO, had this to say, "This industry milestone marks another blockbuster success for our company and demonstrates our unique ability to create some of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world. The success of Destiny, along with the recent introduction of Blizzard Entertainment's Hearthstone, is further validation of our unique capabilities to create great entertainment franchises from the ground up." 19. Yesterday, one day after it's release, Destiny became a record breaker by raking in a whopping $632 million! Activision, the game's publisher, announced that they had exceeded 500 million US Dollars and that this "marks another blockbuster success" for their company. They were confident from the start that all the hard work they had put into Destiny would pay off. The game currently sells at $60, and special editions with higher prices are also available for purchase. Although Destiny pulled through with high numbers, there are some in the industry that still credit Halo for being the game to build on the Xbox's success. So what do you think? Will you be buying Destiny any time soon? If you already have, do you think it's as good as it was said to be? 22. Destiny is coming next week, and Sony is enjoying some timed exclusive content as well as offering the ability to play the game using your Vita, if you'd like to step away from your PlayStation 4 and television. Bungie has, in fact, optimized the game's controls for the Vita, allowing you use the touch screen to melee attack, throw a grenade, or summon your Ghost. Sony has released a video showing these remote play features in action. (Even though this looks fun. xD) Bungie has, in fact, optimized the game's controls for the Vita, allowing you use the touch screen to melee attack, throw a grenade, or summon your Ghost. Sony has released a video showing these remote play features in action. (I can't belive this, It's amazing, though, I'm not good using my words with like this kind of story) "One of the things we noticed during the week of the Destiny Beta was that a lot of PS4 owners were streaming Destiny to their PS Vitas via Remote Play," The official post on the PlayStation Blog stated. "In fact, Destiny was the No. 1 title for Remote Play during the entire month of July, racking up the most Remote Play sessions of any PS4 title." Being able to level up your Guardian from bed is a pretty solid selling point. You can see the full control scheme for the Vita below. Don't expect any early reviews of Destiny from us, but we'll be playing just as soon as servers open on Monday, so expect some quick looks at the game before the review goes live at a later date. I guess this could be great for other games. xD Article by: http://www.polygon.com/2014/9/5/6110529/destinys-vita-specific-controls-allow-you-to-play-from-bed-with-ease Your Throughts?
  23. 25. Bungie's next hit FPS Destiny will be available on the Xbox One market place for gamers to pre-load on their system before launch! Last week, Microsoft heralded in a new feature to the Xbox One with the launch of Madden 15, pre-loading. Pre-loading allows you to download the game to it's fullest on your system before launch and when launch hits, play it with no waiting hassle. IGN.com reports that Destiny will be the next game to receive this feature, and will be available to pre-load soon. A microsoft spokesperson commented, saying, "We’re thrilled to make Destiny available for pre-order and pre-download . . . this option was available for a short period of time before the official pre-order window opened. We’ll have more details to share soon about the pre-order and pre-download window for Destiny." So far no confirmed pre-load window as he says, but I'd expect it to be open around the launch weekend, September 5th, 6th, and 7th. So far this feature for Destiny has only been confirmed for the Xbox One, however I'd expect the PS4 to also receive the game for pre-load with an announcement coming soon. The game launches in just 2 weeks on September 9th. View attachment: 2-2x7wAIQ.jpg Are you going to pre-load Destiny, or is a physical copy a must for a game like Destiny? Discuss below!
