  5. This is a rather unique creation! Absolutely love the Star Wars theme as well! Haven't played Halo 4 in a while but I may have to download this map and give it a go!
  6. Nothing like dropping a deuce and ending with a "ban"-g!! That's just ain't right Jester lmao!! Oddest place for me was waiting on the officer to finish filling out the speeding ticket lol.
  7. Point taken but... did the Xbox 360 receive the type of negativity that the Xbox One is receiving? There are quite a few gamers unwilling to purchase their new console which means loss of console sales and game sales, including the next Halo installment. Add the fact that quite a few were not pleased with H4 and, in my opinion, spells disaster. A release on the 360 might at least increase game sales. Time will only tell as it's all uncertain at this point.
  8. Congratulated you in the shoutbox but I guess I can do a repeat lmao!! Congratulations MoM!! Glad to see a fine contributor to the forums get recognition!! Very well deserved my friend!! I anxiously await the CGN coming back too!! I am hoping to finally make one... if I can get the kiddos to cooperate lol!
  9. The wording is a bit confusing but from what I understand is that you wish to have Firefight available offline as an update to Halo 4?? Firefight mode was replaced by Spartan Ops in Halo 4. At this stage in the game's lifecycle I don't believe it would be feasible or possible for 343Industries to add Firefight as an update. Sorry.
  10. What is all of this talk about Bungie "not showing love for Xbox owners"??? When Destiny was first officially announced, Bungie confirmed release on the Xbox 360 and PS3. After E3, they confirmed release on the Xbox One and PS4. The exclusive content for Playstation owners is a business decision to gain Playstation owner support. Bungie hasn't confirmed what this content will be so it could just be character or weapon skins, extra campaign level, or unique Fireteam emblems. Bungie has not pushed Xbox owners aside by doing this. To answer the OP's question "Do you think Bungie is focusing too much on Sony"??... No I do not. From a business standpoint, I completely agree with their decision to showcase Destiny at E3 on the Playstation platform. I look forward to playing Destiny on both the 360 AND the PS4!!
  11. What about the Halo fans that have an Xbox 360??? Do you see the dilemma that alot of Halo fans are faced with when considering the Xbox One??? Would you spend $500 bucks to purchase the Xbox One just to play the next Halo??? Why not release the next Halo installment for Xbox 360 owners who don't plan to switch to the One for their various reasons??? Microsoft has made quite a few bad business decisions lately but hey... they're on a role so why quit now! I don't prefer to play games with the top view camera so this will be another Halo I will not be playing. It hurt my eyes just watching the video. Maybe it's just my age lol.
  12. The Future of Halo will no longer considered a "trilogy" but rather a "Saga". According to an article released last week, future titles will no longer be numbered like previous titles. According to Forbes contributor Paul_Tassi .... Last week, before Microsoft pulled a 180 on their DRM and internet policies, I remarked that because the Xbox One was in a rather rough spot, it was going to have to rely on Halo as a system seller now more than ever. The playing field has been leveled a bit since then with the death of license-based disc games and internet check-in, but it’s a statement that still holds true. Microsoft seems to agree. That’s why it’s been announced that 343′s Reclaimer Trilogy, which was meant to be Halos 4, 5 and 6, has now transformed into something Microsoft is now calling a Halo “saga.” This idea sprung to life when they were pressed about what exactly the Halo title was that was shown at E3, as it didn’t have a number or even a subtitle. Would it be an add-on type game like ODST, or another full Halo game like the numbered installments? The answer is the latter, though whether it will be called Halo 5 isn’t clear and might be beside the point now anyway. With that news, Phil Spencer spoke to Gamespot about the new plan for upcoming Halo games: “While we originally said trilogy, we’ve actually expanded this to more of a saga, so we don’t want to limit the Reclaimer story within a trilogy.” What this potentially might mean is that Microsoft wants to bump up the frequency of Halo titles. I don’t think it would be physically possible to turn it into a yearly Call of Duty style release with only 343 working on it, nor do I think that would be good for the series. But we might see a higher occurrence of the games all the same. When all the DRM/always-on drama was going down, I posed a question to Xbox loyalists/Halo enthusiasts about whether or not the games exclusivity on the one would make them buy a system. The response was an overwhelming no. Partly because Microsoft’s policies were too intrusive to stomach, but a fair amount said that Halo just didn’t have the same draw that it used to have after six shooter titles. Many were more excited about Destiny or Titanfall, new IPs from trusted studios, including Halo’s former masters, Bungie. That said, Halo is still a powerful franchise for Microsoft to wield, and by “unrestricting” themselves from a trilogy, it’s clear they have big plans for the series. So there you have it! Future Halos will no longer be numbered with new titles planning to be released more frequently. Also note the response to the "exclusivity on the One would make them buy a system"... "response was an overwhelming NO." What does this mean for the franchise that alot of gamers deemed the "best first person shooter"?? Guess we will have to wait and see what Microsoft and 343Industries have planned. Image and content courtesy of Forbes.com.

  15. Three new, possibly habitable planets spotted! According to Michelle McGuinness of MSN News... Scientists say they have found three "super-Earths" in the habitable zone of the Gliese 667C system just 22 light-years away. Scientists believe they may have discovered three new nearby Earths. The European Southern Observatory said in a news release Tuesday that the constellation Scorpius, just 22 light-years away, has three "super-Earths" — planets larger than ours with the potential to have rocky surfaces. Even more exciting, the ESO said the planets are in Scorpius' habitable zone, an area near a star where water and, potentially, life could exist. The ESO said the planets are orbiting a faint star within a triple-star system. "Viewed from one of these newly found planets, the two other suns would look like a pair of very bright stars visible in the daytime, and at night they would provide as much illumination as the full moon," the news release says. The Scorpius system, or Gliese 667C, "is the first example of a system where such a low-mass star is seen to host several potentially rocky planets in the habitable zone," the ESO said in the news release. That makes the three super-Earths a record-breaking discovery: Gliese 667C is the first system ever found that has a fully packed habitable zone, meaning no more habitable planets could exist in its habitable zone. Previously, scientists found three total planets in Scorpius, but only one super-Earth, according to National Geographic. The ESO re-examined past data to uncover the two additional planets. "We knew that the star had three planets from previous studies, so we wanted to see whether there were any more," ESO astronomer Mikko Tuomi said in the news release. "By adding some new observations and revisiting existing data, we were able to confirm these three and confidently reveal several more. Finding three low-mass (super-Earth) planets in the star's habitable zone is very exciting." In 2011, CNN reported that the ESO had found 50 new planets outside our solar system, including 16 super-Earths. The ESO said small systems such as Scorpius orbiting stars similar to our sun are abundant in the Milky Way. But often the nearby planets are too hot to be habitable. Gliese 667C is a cooler, dimmer star; even though the three super-Earths are as close to it as Mercury is to our sun, they’re cool enough to be habitable, the ESO said. Now if we could just travel there and find those darn Halo rings, lol! I don't expect to see "space travel" in my lifetime but hopefully my children or grandchildren will. Would you be willing to go? 16. ... 100% chance I will not play it, lol. If 343I is smart, they will port it to the 360. I know they "want to take full advantage of the Xbox One's power" but what about gamers that do not purchase the One? You think Halo fans that do not like the One are going to plop down $500 bucks just to play the next Halo title? I know I wouldn't.
  17. What did consumers lose?? The ability for your friends to play demos?? I don't trust M$. They reversed these restrictions to save face with the gaming community and are doing so with a "patch". What is preventing them from slowly reintroducing these restrictions over time with future patches or updates without the knowledge of the consumer?? You also STILL have to connect to the internet for the initial set-up for the patches to take affect. What about the gamers without internet connection or those that have no interest in online gaming?? They are not thinking of the ENTIRE gaming community. You plug it in only to realize you have purchased a big electronic black brick... oh wait you WILL be able to watch TV and play your SONY BluRay Discs on it! I'm not trying to convince anyone to NOT purchase the Xbox One only to be very skeptical about that decision! However... if you buy into the BS that M$ is throwing at you then you automatically forfeit your right to ANY complaints about the system in the future!
  18. So they realize they screwed up after their stock dropped?? Looks like M$ got spooked to me!! The damage has been done. The only way I would even remotely consider purchasing... drop the Kinect and lower the price by $400!! Screw M$! I already own an Xbox 1!
  19. A very humble MoM post AbleSir Thomas! It is indeed an honor to wear the title and well deserved. Thank you for your contributions at THFE and here at 343iCF. Congratulations MoM!
  20. Unfortunately I did not. These are the Q & A's from Bungie.net. Questions are from member's which are answered mostly by Dee J and the staff at Bungie. Source link and content credits are at the beginning of the post. Sad to say, I will not be continuing this series as they have not attracted much traffic.
  21. Have been thinking about the "Glimmer" race you are referring to and have come up with a theory. Perhaps this race is the reason "The Traveler" came to Earth. It is possible this race was attacking Earth and The Traveler was the only method of repelling it's (Glimmer) attack. The Traveler may have sacrificed himself (their self if Traveler is the name of the craft) in order to save humanity. This could be the reason for not releasing information about them seeing as this species could be the ultimate threat we will be facing in game. Just a thought I had which is pure opinion and theory, lol.
  22. The ability to Forge magnets at the desired location on a forgable object is a truly unique idea and would add a more "precise" editing feature for custom object placement. If this feature would be added, the need for precision editing may not be necessary but would still be a desirable Forge feature.

    new DLC

OP is not clearly explained. Can you give examples of each type of DLC you are referring to?? Why would it "change Halo 4 for for the better"?? Can you provide proof that it will?? Is it feasible for 343Industries to create this type of DLC?? Please clarify.
  24. I had run across this article in my efforts to search for any and all info on Destiny! (article posted in February, GamesRadar released a similar article the same day found here!) I like the author's unique interpretation of the information too. I have Tina added to my collection of bookmarks, lol! I think the "time traveling robot" is reference to Vex, "space zombies" reference Hive, "spider pirates" reference Fallen (multiple limbs/eyes and the name of the known vehicle called "spider tank"). At first I thought "Warlocks" referred to the human class you can play as but as I reviewed different images, there is another possible enemy whose name hasn't been revealed... A hulking beast of an enemy with bat/dragon-like wings or cape with an odd shaped head. Also note they seem to be allied with the Hive. Also, here's the GamesRadar video released with their article... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Yk5HJphe1tQ Like I said, everytime I search I find a few more tidbits of interesting info that has been "overlooked", lol! (Can you tell Destiny has me excited ) Thanks again highplains!!
  25. I love the way Bungie continues to slowly give those subtle "tidbits" of information with each interview, lol! Anticipation level continues to rise with each article, video, and interview! Can't wait for the info drop at E3! Thanks for posting highplainsdrifter!
