I believe the image of the Promethean Sniper is legit. I found the actual screenshot that the image in the article was pulled from. I got the image from Halowaypoint. It is a Spartan Ops mission screenshot posted under the images tab for Halo 4. Look at the Promethean Knight in the image. That weapon is alot longer than the Promethean Light Rifle. Here is the image posted in the article. And here is an image of the Light Rifle... There is a noticeable difference in the length and shape of the barrel. The Fuel Rod Gun on the other hand does in fact look fake, in my opinion, unless it is just an extremely poor quality image. And after thoroughly searching for an original image, I have produced 0 results. Thanks for the info Tallgeese!!

Another fun fact, especially for the new members... Twam's nickname by some is "Twammy-bear"!
-
Judging by his award, his favorite food is pizza!!
-
Twam keeps spilling his coffee on the server. You would think he would have learned by now!!

I know the feeling bud, I'm in the path as well. Time to polish up the piroque and paddle west. Wednesday will mark the 7th year since Katrina. I sure hope it's not a repeat. Good luck Equinoxe!

Like most ... Campaign first to continue the story of Master Chief. Then off to the first segment of Spartan Ops hopefully before the next set of missions release. Forge to recreate my contest map and check the different offerings it has. MM to check out the different maps. Really looking forward to where 343 is going with the story and how Spartan Ops will tie in with future installments!

Not quite what i'm talking about but this happens frequently to me as well. I'm talking about AFTER the map is saved and completed. The pieces don't save like they are suppose to. The "shifts" are minor but noticeable. When I go back into Forge mode to attempt an edit again, just grabbing the piece shifts it back into place but will not stay there when playing the map in a custom game.
-
So as the title suggests, in Halo: Reach Forge, I am having issues with Forge pieces shifting after a clean save. Upon save I go back into Forge mode to double-check placement of all of the pieces and they are fine. When I go to Custom game, pieces shift on their axis'. Now I have seen this in different variations such as a piece shifting up or down or even to the side. Though the shift is barely visible, I notice. *Side note - when Forging I always use the 90 degree snap lock feature to lock the pieces in place unless it's not possible to for rock or weapon placement or other aesthetic features. I guess this is more of a minor frustrating issue that I have encountered but an issue none-the-less. If anyone has any advice, I welcome it. - Choot

Developers already talking about the Halo series and next gen console. In a recent article found at CVG.... 343 discusses Halo 5's next generation potential. Studio will take advantage of any technological developments in the console space. Halo 4 isn't out until November, but that hasn't stopped new series developer 343 Industries talking about the game's successors. Photo credit: 343 Industries/Microsoft "While he was careful not to walk into the trap of directly discussing the likelihood of Halo 5 and Halo 6 appearing on Xbox 720, 343's lead game designer Scott Warner told the Independent that the studio would take advantage of any potential new console hardware when it comes to making future series entries. "I mean certainly as things develop, we have the advantage of working for a publisher and first party development, and if things happen we would certainly want to take advantage of those things," he said. "There's always kind of a careful balancing act between what you decide to improve upon, what you have that you think is really good, what's the great mixture of that to put you in the best position to be successful as a team. But certainly as things go on in development we have an advantage in the sense that we can cross those streams a bit." Warner added: "Obviously we're always attuned to new developments with what's happening internally and externally. "Our current development is all centred around the Xbox 360 and trying to harness everything we can get out of that box, so everything you're seeing is sort of custom built for the 360 experience. Obviously depending on what happens and develops with our company, we'll try to develop our technology and take advantage of it." Will 343 be able to live up to the standards set by series creator Bungie? Get our latest hands-on impressions in this Halo 4 preview. Microsoft has confirmed a Halo 4 release date of November 6."

I'm sure it's great that you're back but if you were a trusted member then you would also know that having a duplicate account is frowned upon by site Administration and Staff. You should also realize that you have just publicly announced you DO HAVE another account here. Don't worry though....they DO know who you are and DO have the authority to "delete/merge/moderate any account"!! Good luck!

Individual Immunity and Challenge #1 from SURVIVOR!
Choot 'em replied to Absolute Dog's topic in Announcements
Thanks AD! Word of advice for those attempting the Immunity icon challenge....bump the time up! My first attempt time ran out. Second attempt time ran out with a 30 minute setting, lmao! I will try again with unlimited time! -
June's Forge contest map first, then remake the others i made. The duplicate and magnet features should speed up the Forge creative process.
-
A tribute to the members that started it all. Can you spot your Spartan?
-
I WILL design a Close Quarters forge map consisting of Scattershot vs. M45D just to test their strengths head to head! That is, after November 6!!
-
That's the Promethean Scattershot. Info on the weapon can be found HERE!! The shotgun in the video is the M45D Tactical shotgun issued to UNSC forces. Info can be found HERE!!

Dr. Catherine Halsey!! Intelligence, maturity, and hotness!!

I found a video showcasing the new look of the Halo 4 shotgun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=T0IF0TrTocQ Like the new look or not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Article at http://gamingbolt.co...ves-in-the-game We finally know how Halo 4 shotgun will look like, and I have to say the weapon looks bada**. Earlier we revealed a placeholder version of the shotgun, which gave a good idea of how the final version will be. You can check out that video over here. The Halo 4 shotgun is a dominant close-quarters weapon specializing in boarding actions, breach maneuvers, and urban operations. Here’s what the developers had to say regarding how it feels while using it. Frank O’Connor – “Definitely not as overpowered as it has been in the past, it’s a one shot kill at point blank range (usually) but I find it’s not quite as deadly as Reach’s in close quarter strafing encounters. I use a LOT of ammo trying to take folks down without risking swapping weapons, if that makes sense.” David Ellis – “I’ve always been the kind of guy who loves to jump in the middle of a squad of enemies to see how many I can take out in my blaze of glory. As such, the Shotgun, if I might borrow a phrase, scratches that particular itch for me. With the aesthetic redesign, the Shotgun feels like a future bangstick designed with one purpose: to blow heads clean off their shoulders. Unlike Frank, I actually find this shotgun to be easier to use than the one in Reach, but when getting the jump on enemies, you better make that first shot count. Otherwise, you’ll be left wondering what could have been while waiting to respawn.” Chris King – “The new Shotgun model is SICK and definitely reads as a bit more futuristic than the previous versions. It actually has a lot longer range now, less damage falloff, and is quite a bit more powerful than say the Reach version overall, but some of that dialed up power is countered by the other changes in the game like Sprint by default, mobility-based Armor Abilities, and generally faster movement speeds. This is definitely one of my favorite ordnance weapons. I especially love finding one when I have the Speed Boost in MP.” Frank O’Connor also believes in the game and thinks it will meet expectations, and while the game won’t be perfect, it will be pretty damn good. Frank O'Connor - “It won’t be perfect, that’s impossible. We have too many constituents and variables in our game, our audience and our community for that to ever happen. But I think the vast majority of people who’ve given us their trust and confidence, no matter how warily or askance, will find something in here that meets or exceeds their expectations,” “And for the cynics, an understandable position and one we respect, I think the game may surprise even you guys. Of course time and player experience will tell, but there have been many moments that deepened my confidence in where we are. Some of those moments were big ticket brute force Rubicons, and some small, personal moments.” Read more at http://gamingbolt.co...ZEZwtxsO5meB.99
