Harsh reply hes just a fan who bought a game early, everyones eager to play I've had my copy pre-ordered since the LE announce in May. Last few days I got emailed my pre-order bonus codes, since then I've checked each day to see if its PRODUCT IS NOT YET DISPATCHED status as change, I've heard rumors of a few big chains dispatching the game earlier than they should have done, surely its as much their faults as the eager consumer.

How good did the hunter look, I don't understand why they went to that much effort to only show it for 30 seconds, its like the tease at the very end with the whole infinity and its fleet. Why EPs 1 to 3 just had teens sitting on their bunks for most the duration, when we could have had all the neat things from ep4/5 for longer.

It includes a pass for the 3 dlc map packs, the 1st one comes out in Dec, 2nd in Feb then final one in April which all adds up to 9 extra maps. I'm treating the LE more as a bundle now of just the game and maps pass, that happens to come in a fancy box. The other extras are pretty light, but its not really costing me any extra.

Just move on and don't let it spoil your enjoyment of the game in 2 days. I wish it contained a few more exclusive items, but I'm now treating it like a bundle pack of the game and war games dlc pass that happens to come in a fancy box.

I might pick it up at some point down the line, not even interested in seeing level or location designs until I've given it one playthrough. It makes me a little sad that 343i never made a true Legendary Collectors edition featuring things like this and the feature length FUD on DVD.

None of the 4's maps mentioned by the OP look anything remotely like the remakes stated. Haven looks slightly Narrows like, but thats more visually than anything. Fingers crossed for Halo 2 Anniversary this time next year, for more real remakes.

the rare time I've played Headlong recently (ie since Anniversary BTB playlist as been taken off, and all players have the maps in btb) its still had the gauss hogs, banshees, energy swords. I think the OP got mixed up by playing variants of the map like breakneck pro or something.

I know a gaming reviewer from another forum whose got a cleared gt to play it (had it a around a week). Personally though its so close to release day now, they surely would expect eager fans who have been fortunate enough to get it dispatched early to go online. I've already had my pre-order bonus codes emailed to me, so possible I'll get the game dispatched for Monday.

I heard guys laughing about fotus earlier tonight in a btb reach game, saying how its got its own assassination move the spartan gets on all fours and headbuts the enemy like a unicorn or rhino would. I think it looks good and guess it'll be fun seeing it the odd time a console buyer is in the game.

The rare time I'm in a ghost or revenant and I see a roaming enemy spartan I try work out if they've lock or not 1st, nothing funnier than driving towards someone and they think I'll pull my lock... then wait and shoot 'em

I'll be Eclipse by the end of today, I plan on milking todays final Firefight Thursday before Halo 4 comes out, for all the daily challenges. Kinda sad I never reached Inheritor and unlocked the Haunted helmet (I could have done if not for buying a ps3 and playing some of its exclusives during 2012). I might return to REACH for the odd Firefight or just to run some of Reach's maps out of nostalgia, but I fully expect Eclipse will be my final rank.

From what I've seen the Knights can teleport short distances, so they'd just do that and ***** slap the hunters exposed rear with their blade arms. Its possible only top tier commander Knights have that teleport ability though so who knows with a basic Knight vs Hunter.

If Halo 4's ranking system sways towards a more progression style and it bothers people so much, just stick to competitive playlists like Arena or MLG, that way you get ranked per season in those. A game thats sold to millions has got to please the casual gamer as much as the pro competitive gamers.

Anyone have any spare codes for a LIMEY who couldn't join the promotion I think it was pretty neat they gave the warrior avatar sets out as promos, I know Mountain Dew UK gave loads of green armor out and Pizza Hut UK gave us the red, so guess we Brits can't moan.

The way the cheevos work you need to do it various times, least solo for the lone wolf & solo legendary and then again for co-op. I'm gonna probably run it solo 1st just so I'm not rushing through, and taking in as much detail as I can. After doing that I'll be more than up for some quality co-op team mates so we can help each other grab the co-op cheevos. Or any of the harder trophies like that tough sounding 'Hijack a Wraith and destroy at least 4 other wraiths with it' one. GT = PureNomad

I hate the rare times you roll any elite games in team slayer, was a case of abusing the roll then plasma nade the enemy. Every game the same dull format with almost all players averaging a 50-50 kr and getting 12-13 kills. The only time it seemed to work was in Invasion games, then it seemed natural to have defending spartans vs attacking elites. I guess closest to that now will be Dominion, but having not played it I'm not sure if it'd be an advantage to have them in that. I guess you could argue why covenant vehicles and weapons are brought into war games if the elites aren't around and covenant aren't the key enemy now, so why even practice using their weaponry in a simulation. But I can't see many people being bothered by their absence in 4's matchmaking.

So many items are just brought back from reaches forge world, I think it'll mean we get so many remakes of reaches maps. Sad that things I really wanted like a flat rock that featured grass so we could make our own ground layouts or more interesting scenery objects like maybe radios or trees just didn't make it. I was expecting more interesting items to make the decoration list as well.

GT: PureNomad wouldn't mind a few gamers to run Legendary with seeing as theres a few cheevos for campaign co-op (I've Legendary'd every other HALO, so 4 shouldn't be much of a problem. Also interested in spartan ops team mates, wargame teams and forge customs at a later date.

They do need to sort this out in a way that gives players variety, only 10 retail maps (I think 4 small 6 mid to large sized, I could be wrong on this) and Frankie said no community created forge maps will be added to playlists until after the last DLC pack is released which was listed earlier, the packs are due Dec/Feb then final one next April. I do think it should be a majority rules system, if your unlucky enough to have a map thats been voted for by the bulk of the group you get sent back to matchmaking. I think splitting playlists for DLC just breaks up numbers and the playlist eventually becomes a ghost town anyway.

Great thread Wes Stone501 thanks for putting in the effort. The concept art for all the DLC maps is amazing, especially Ladfall & Skyline hope they turn out well. Not sure on CASTLE for the 3rd DLC pack title, doesn't sound very HALO. As for the retail maps Exile & Complex are my favorites, but that could change of course after playing. So glad theres 3 forge environments even if they're much smaller than forgeworld.
