  1. Choot'em that says it all. Thank you so much for this OP.
  2. You think I'm letting a Klondike Bar go to waste? No way! The person above me picked up the piano at a young age, even Bam Bam couldn't do that. The person below me waxes his Warthog with Q-Tip!
  3. I am seeing your point about the annoyance factor when you mentioned the number of games played. I have nearly 10,000 in Halo 3 alone just on this account and I have to say I agree with Mayhem unless the repair comes with a shield recharge.
  4. Well I'm no 50 so I will probably follow you around doing clean up! lol
  5. This was an offering by Zed on the skulls. Halo Anniversary Skulls Halo Anniversary ~ Various It has been confirmed that skulls are going to be hidden in various places throughout the Halo: Anniversary Campaign. Players will be able find skulls in the campaign (although only available in the remastered mode) to active different gameplay effects. Skulls have appeared in all subsequent Halo games after the release of Halo CE so it looks like 343i is taking the opportunity to give Halo fans some extra fun in that old classic we all love. After finding the skulls in the campaign, players will be able to activate them from a skulls menu. Malfunction Skull Effect After dying and respawning this skull will cause a malfunction in a players heads up display, displaying various functions of the HUD at random. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Eyepatch Skull Effect Removed all auto aim from the game. This means aiming will be a lot harder. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Pinata Skull Effect Whenever you kill a covenant, he will drop a grenade. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Grunt Birthday Party Skull Effect Causes grunts to explode like into confetti when killed with headshots. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Fog Skull Effect The players motion tracker is disabled, giving enemies a tactical advantage. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Famine Skull Effect Weapons that are dropped by A.I and picked up by players are left with half the ammo they would normally carry. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Boom Skull Effect When activated the Boom skull doubles the radius of explosions from grenades and rockets. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Bandanna Skull Effect When you activate this skull you will get infinite ammo. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Grunt Funeral Skull Effect Grunts die in a blaze of glory and plasma. They explode like grenades after dying. Location Requires the preorder of the game from participating retailers. Black Eye Skull Effect The only way to recharge you shields is to melee enemies. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Recession Skull Effect Every bullet you fire takes up two bullets, making you deplete your ammo twice as fast. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Foreign Skull Effect After activating this skull you will find it impossible to pick up any covenant weapons. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Mythic Skull Effect This terrifying skull gives all covenant forces double the amount of health. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown. Iron Skull Effect When a play is alone and dies, the level is restarted. When a player dies in co-op, the last checkpoint is loaded. Location The current location of this skull is still unknown.
  6. Thanks for the skull effects. I will offer a link near Twins thoughts on them for comparison. Zed to say you will be missed is an understatement. You bring an energy to the site that we all feel. Your "Zesty Taconess" had made me smile big and laugh out loud. Do what you can to stay in touch. We will work together in your absence to keep your threads alive and kicking.
  7. Casual players have been part of the game from the beginning. I, back in the early days of Halo 2, would have been considered a casual player. Though I am not a "hard core" player, I am a "hard core" fan of the original part of the Halo series. It is possible to create a game in Halo 4 that reflects the continuation of the series that follows Halo 3, stay true to it's roots and bring new advances to the game. This short interview, that includes Josh Holmes, supports my thoughts. It may be true the casual player was more in the mind in the current game, but 343ind. does see the need to address both types of players. Simply put, we just have to wait until more information is released before we make to much of the issue. I for one want more competitive ranked play in the format similar to H2 and H3 where there was a full ranked play list and a full social play list. The system of ranking players needs more work, but I am confident 343ind. will do their best to offer the fans the best that they can.
  8. I do not know what you have seen, so I will post the available H4 videos here for you. : Blair Herter interviews Executive Producer Kiki Wolfkill and Creative Dir. Josh Holmes : Get a sneak peek at some of the concept art from Halo 4 in this trailer from Halo Fest. This is your chance to dig deep in the minds of the Halo 4 developers. : That shows the Chiefs nervous system, heart and brain firing up as Cortana calls for him to wake up
  9. ....zots, because they don't melt........
  10. Good explanation Twin. No wonder we can count on you to dig up the nuts and bolts and give us a digestible version we can understand. I know it dashes some hope, but facts are what they are. Thanks again.
  11. There have been enough rumors of a Beta and members want to talk about it. This post will stay open and allow thought on the subject.
  12. What's up Young. Good to have you here. Feel free to use the chat box to ask any questions. Most are very helpful. You can select the Reach Stats on the top menu bar the select the Dynamic Image below your avatar and select from the signatures there. We also have a "Signature Shop" in the General Discussion forum that you can read, then provide images to Egypt for a custom signature. Don't forget to put your name in the hat to in a free copy of Halo CE Anniversary in the "Giveaway" for HCEA. I have provided links that are in light blue to help you get started.
  13. The video show third person play and forging in "High Noon"! [media] [media/]
  14. Add this to it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwSomBIbwAI Note the forge taking place.
  15. I can only assume the Anniversary Pistol will be fore front on some play lists. Players have been drooling over the chance to play with it again! Here is a video of a game in "High Noon". Note the pistol.
  16. Obviously the subject of quitting has spawned a lot of threads. Your idea seem fine on the surface, but if you end up on the team that has the quitters, what is to stop the remaining players from throwing the game in order to have it not affect their true skill. Example: One player quits, the games starts to drift away, so one or two of the remaining players either AFK or run into the open to die. The remaining one or two who continue to fight hard for a win or their respective stats. This could create another unfair situation by trying to resolve another. It would also seem to be more variables. What if you were expected to win the game 4v4 and lost 3v4 badly enough to hit your proposed threshold? I played Arena Doubles while it was available and in the games where a team mate quit I rarely won. Wins did happen though, either due to players lesser opponents or slowing the pace of the game and trying to separate the players for 1v1 fights. sometimes hologram use. Point is, quitters have long be more than an annoyance and the only thing that has been somewhat effective is punishing the quitter. Here is a link to a thread you may or may not have seen what do you think of this thought being applied to the stripping of rank status for quitters? Read post #8 for my ideas.
  17. That just means there are more people to buy and play Halo 4.
  18. It's fitting it should end with this song: - David Bowie
  19. Would like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to a friend who showed me a lot about Halo 3. I used to save the videos of him playing and study his style to improve my game. For Afflicted......... [media] [media/]
  20. It is a great day for playing Reach and dreaming of HCEA!

  21. Having always been a personal fan of ranked doubles and knowing ranked play has always been an integral part of Halo, how many of you would really like a more complete ranked play list? Take the time to explain why you like ranked play and a particular game type.
  22. That may not be a bad idea. Since the MLG players tend to be the more competitive and FFA has suffered from a lack of interest recently it may be an area that it has a better chance of surviving. I remember when it was removed from Arena play along with Doubles, which I played, it was missed by the FFA crowd. Let's see how much interest the thread pulls.
