  5. There's only one correct answer to this question. That's Halo 2. If you've played Halo 2 on Legendary then you know that I don't even need to explain myself. We all know why H2 was the hardest. Because of these jerk offs.
  6. We don't need Halo 4 getting any worse. Swords are frustrating enough as they are.   7. I've actually never had that in a game on this map before. The Sticky Cave gets traffic but not as much as how you described it. I don't think the hallway is too narrow though. BUT. Nevertheless, I'll look into it. Since you're on my friend's list, I'll just send you an invite if you're online and I'm in a testing lobby.

  9. Hey guys. I'm proud to show you my latest map in Halo 4. I call it Novus. Latin for new. I named it that mainly because I wanted to show off the little knowledge I have of the Latin language and because this map is a new start for me. A map I built without basing it off of anything other than my own ideas. First time I've done that. And I'd say it worked out pretty well. CTF also plays pretty good. This map has undergone so many changes I've lost count on how many. And all these changes only made the map better. Weapons in the map Power Weapons - Rocket Launcher x1 - Sniper Rifle x1 - Sticky Detonator x1 Other Weapons - Battle Rifle x2 - Plasma Grenade x2 (4 total) This weapon set is working well so far but it is not permanent as I'm still testing the map. ___________________________________ THANK YOU After working on the map for three months, I decided to release it. The barrage of feedback I received was overwhelming that it led me to change the map even more. I'd say that it has changed for the better. Both for gameplay and aesthetics. I've made major changes to this map for 4 times now and I can safely say that each update improved the map. Of course, I couldn't have done all of this to the map without help. (Thanks to the help of dhg redemption.) Tunnel to connect bottom Green and bottom Gold. Power position at top-left Red. Ledge at rock area to counter. ___________________________________ CHANGE LOG - There is now a tunnel that connects bottom Green and bottom Gold. - Top-left Red is now a powerful position in the map due to the bridges that served as LoS blockers being removed. - Rock cave has been reforged. It's not as big as last time. Because before, the rock cave was just a path. There wasn't anything in it that would make players want to go there. Players only move to the rock cave once the Sticky Det spawns and then it is barely used. Now, rock cave is home to the counter to top-left Red's power position. This counter is in the form of a ledge. - This map is no longer compatible with Extraction 2-site. Just 1-site now. - The spawns were cleaned up a bit. - The bridge from bottom Blue to top Gold has been removed. It was not necessary. - Extraction cylinders were added to the map to provide as contrast and for callouts.   10. Thanks Rayner. Glad you like the map. In all the games I've played here, no one really complained about the spawning. Maybe you were just unlucky. But I'll look into it anyway.

  12. Good update. The map has improved greatly from its initial version. I can't give you full feedback right now because I'm pretty busy. College stuff. Just add me on XBL so I can take a look at the map with you in it. That's also a more effective way of giving feedback.
  13. The map definitely improved. Mainly in the aesthetics. But I still see a lot of areas that are, in my opinion, very ugly. A lot of them are oddly placed. For easier communication, I'll just send you an invite if I see you online. Also because I'm pretty busy right now. Besides, giving feedback while we're both in the map is way more effective.
  14. So I noticed something about this map in the game we played. One word. Sightlines. There are several long and wide sightlines in certain parts of the map that I think really need to get chopped up. I don't remember exactly in what areas but I'll check again.

  20. First off, I must say that I enjoyed this map's uniqueness. Not a lot of maps are made this way. I especially loved the doorway made out of inclines. I did see issues with the map though - Path to blue: One of the paths to blue spawn involves about 10 jumps to get there. This is not good for the flow of the map. I suggest turning those into hard routes for smoother gameplay. - Colors: You colored your map. But everything's green. I highly suggest changing the colors of the other keypoints of the map. This is for callouts and to help players identify the different areas of the map better. - Windows: You placed windows in one of the structures. But there's nothing outside. If you're placing windows that players can look out of, make sure there's something to look at. - Unnecessary piece: I suggest removing the buried cover piece under red spawn. - Steepness: The paths to red spawn are way too steep. Keep inclines at a 30 degree angle or an angle that's close. You'll know that a piece is inclined correctly if players can jump up while walking up them. - Too much cover: I think you made the two house-like structures too safe for players. The little holes they can shoot out of are too tight. - No shields: I'd get those one-way shields out if I were you. I think a hole in that structure would be good for gameplay. It provides another entrance into that structure. If you were worried about it being too open, then you can always make the hole smaller. - Teleporter: I suggest removing the Brace Large pieces in front of the receiver node at the bottom. *I'd remove one of the tree stumps at the bottom. 4 is too many IMO
  21. I apologize but I haven't been able to look at the map yet. I've been pretty busy. So just send me a friend request so I can personally tell you my feedback on the map while we're both in it.   22. Alright. I was able to take a look at the map. Overall, I like what I'm seeing. The map has a good layout and I love the way you mixed the rocks with the forge pieces. I do see a couple of issues though. - The rocks: I like how people can get up these but the inclines you made that will allow people to get to the top are too steep. You'll know that a piece is at the best/right incline if a player can jump while walking up. - Yellow tunnel: I'd remove the walls in the middle if I were you. They're unnecessary and gameplay in that are would be better if they're gone. There are also some bumps in yellow tunnel. - Spawns: In both red and blue base, you mixed neutral spawns with the other initial spawns. I suggest moving these neutral spawn points because in FFA, people could possibly spawn right next to each other. - The tunnel pieces: I'm honestly not sure about how I feel with these. I can't decide whether or not they fit with the rest of the map. I would suggest lowering them a bit. So that their inclined area won't be visible. It just looks better. - Out of place 2x4: You placed a 2x4 in the map to block off a long line of sight. This is good and the piece serves its purpose well. But the block looks very out of place and just comes off as lazy cover. - Oddly placed wall near red base: You placed a wall near red base that has 75% of it buried in the ground. I don't understand the purpose of this piece and I suggest that you remove it. - Z fighting: There's some Z fighting in some areas of the map. Nothing big but it's fixable. Despite these issues, I actually really like the map. Good layout, aesthetics and, hopefully, gameplay.
