I would start off with http://www.raywenderlich.com/49955/blender-tutorial-for-beginners-how-to-make-a-mushroom Thats what I did, and even though im not an Expert, I known my way around pretty well. Eventually youll get the hang of it, but making weapons & things usually take a while (Unless you dont care if it looks good or not)

Stop the download then restart your internet, that should do it. -

Oh. Well, you can do that, but then you kinda have to rotate your torso awkwardly to see. Unless your desk is against the wall.
