  1. ...Forgot that was an option. I change my vote from Blue13 to RNG. Hell of a lot more fair.
  2. SON OF A WH-- Voting null hasn't already been established as counterproductive? Thought with the Mafia games I missed that may have finally gotten into everyone's heads. Guess not. I vote Blue13. It's just a hunch but his soul is apparently evil, that video he posted is annoyingly evil, and safety scissors are evil (Seriously! Those things are terrible!). With no leads, I'm kinda taking a wild shot (as the first round always is) but there's not much choice here.
  3. Caboose - Because RSR suggested it anyway out of courtesy to people who still haven't finished the campaign. Kakashi - Destruct warned me of this already and if we can't get 21 I'll knock down the player count accordingly. Yang - Because Prometheans would never blend in with Spartans in the way this premise suggests, and have no helmets to remove. They also definitely wouldn't fit in Mjolnir armor. Destruct suggested a Huragok being added but I decided against it because (as Caboose said, actually) it would stretch the population too much. We can't have too many special roles unless we have around 25 players. I did want at least one neutral element though, so I put in one that could survive in this vacuum. Destruct - The second game to have a sniper. You can go back and check, I remember it was one of the original JL games.
  4. Sniper was originally every two rounds. I will limit the vigilante as you suggested, you have a point there.
  5. Since I got confirmation that the planned games were cancelled, this is the next one. However it has H5 spoilers and the discussion topic is not marked for spoilers so RSR said I should post it separately. I present to you... Mafia: Spartan Edition The Situation: As the UNSC Infinity flees Cortana and the Guardians, a handful of AIs have managed to get in via remote transmission. With safeguards recently installed to prevent unauthorized AI interference, they were unable to hack anything save for one section of the ship: the one where the safeguards had not yet fully installed. The Spartan Deck. They quarantined the deck immediately, blocking any exit or entry. Their next move was possess empty Mjolnir armor and falsify records to blend in with the human Spartans. In this state they sabotaged all the biofoam projectors used for ally revival...and finally, they depressurized the section of the ship, leaving it a vacuum. The medical facilities were all sabotaged, from the healing equipment to the bio scanners. Forced to wear their suits at all times to survive and realizing too late what was going on, the Spartans had no way of discovering whether someone was Spartan or AI except by removing their helmet...and that, of course, would expose an AI by revealing their suit was empty...but if a true Spartan was unmasked, the vacuum would violently tear them apart. The Rules: As you'd expect, the standard Mafia procedure is followed. The game begins at night. Every night, the AIs will kill a player of their choice, decided in their group PM. The Detective will Artemis scan someone, the Medic will run to someone's side expecting to have to revive him. The Vigilante will try and target an AI if he can. It is then day. Since electronic voting would leave the votes open to hacking, the Spartans vote by ballot on who they suspect of being an AI. That person will then have their helmet removed, a lynching. And the cycle repeats until all of one side is dead. The Roles: 12x UNSC 9x Spartans - With their biofoam projectors sabotaged and no special equipment, all they can do is cast their votes. 1x Detective - With a prototype version of the Artemis Tracking System that takes 24 hours to process one scan, this Spartan can direct a scan for bio-readings on anyone. If there are bio-readings, it's a Spartan. If not, an AI lies within that empty suit. 1x Medic - Though the biofoam projectors were sabotaged, one Spartan knew how to fix his. He only had the resources to fix one though, leaving himself as the sole defense for anyone downed by the AI infiltrators. 1x Vigilante - This Spartan goes out once a night to kill someone he suspects by his own hand. Unfortunately, sometimes he is wrong. In addition, he can only do it twice. 4x Created 1x AI - Possessing only ordinary equipment, they can only vote. They didn't sabotage their own biofoam projectors, but since using them on each other obviously isn't possible, and they don't want to revive any humans, they're useless to them. 1x Leader - When targeted by a lynch, kills one person who voted for him. When targeted by the Vigilante, the Vigilante will die. However the Leader in either case still dies with the person he takes down. 1x Juggernaut - Stole the last overshield module for himself. As such, he has two lives. 1x Saboteur - Stole the last active camo module for himself. As such, he can invisibly mess with the votes, and so once per round, he can change the vote of another person secretly. He can also vote normally. 1x Sangheili 1x Elite Ranger - An ambassador who came on board the Infinity and happened to be talking with some Spartans when the section quarantine was forced upon them. Everyone knows he's not an AI, but is he loyal to his human allies, or does he believe that Cortana's plan for the Mantle is actually a good thing? Either way, whatever side he chooses to aid, he can assassinate a player once every two rounds. The List: 1. Caboose the Ace 2. Yoshi1176, Detective, Killed by Leader Round 2. 3. Melody, Medic, Executed Round 2. 4. Drizzy_Dan, Saboteur, Killed by Vigilante Round 2. 5. Frankenzer, Civilian, Executed Round 3. 6. Wasn't that either. An introduction to Osiris and Jul 'Mdama's death, an introduction to the members of Blue who aren't Chief and the reason for their going AWOL, the hunt beginning, Warden's introduction, Chief beating Locke and leaving, Blue Team first starting to suspect something's up with Cortana along with bits of her plan being revealed, Osiris meeting up with the Arbiter, the alliance getting what they need to follow Blue Team, the final battle with the Covenan...

...t (save for the stragglers still on Genesis), Osiris searching for Blue Team on Genesis and finding them, Blue Team getting transported away and making their way to Cortana as the Gateway finishes up on giving her a physical body, ending in their imprisonment, and Osiris freeing them while everyone escapes to prepare a resistance in Halo 6. Absolutely none of that was pointless filler meandering. It was all absolutely necessary and beneficial to the story as a whole

  7. I didn't even have issues with the AI, they revive me 90% of the time and provide more distraction to the enemy than I normally get (that being zero, so even if the enemy primarily focuses on the team leader, which does make logical sense, they make the situation better) and that's all I really need them to do. So yeah, I absolutely want the fireteam system to stay. I love it. Gives a nice feeling of teamwork with AI that like co-op partners won't leave your side permanently.
  8. Is it odd that I found the Warden on Sunaion the hardest of all Warden battles preceding the one with three of them?

Then there are two Incineration Cannons just laying on the ground. Empty your first one into the Warden, grab another, empty that one into him. By then he should be dead but if you missed a few shots and he isn't, grab the third and empty THAT into him. He will be dead.

*The Wardens body will have been destroyed but not his mind.

Naturally. I was just putting it in simplest terms.

  9. 1. Just realized I never got my MoM award. Can you fix that pls? 2. What do you think of Halo 5? 3. What do you think of Locke?
  10. I have Halo 5.

So I'm less intelligent because I don't like Halo 5?

      Delpen9

You're less intelligent because Axilus said so.

  11. Didn't Mark IV lack an energy shield entirely? What I really want is Chief's campaign armor. It looks so much better than the Mark VI we've been getting.
  12. Well, for splitscreen you just get two controllers, sign a profile in on each of them, and launch a campaign mission. For online you have one player open the campaign lobby, invite the other player, and when they are both in the lobby start the game.
  13. Thank God, the day's finally come. I have an Xbox One.

I'll use the Gold code after soloing all of the MCC (to get a feel for all the changes, especially the framerate) and we can do just that, RSR.

As for Fallout 4 I'm afraid I'm left out there. I've never played a Fallout game and jumping into the 4th one at this point would make no sense.

  14. Rented and beat ODST, solo Legendary first run. Average 3 deaths per level. Hopefully second run's better.

    1. Maestro

      Maestro

The best part about ODST Legendary is that you can survive one Beam Rifle shot. Jackals also seem to have terrible aim in that game.

    2. Axilus Prime

      Axilus Prime

Oh yeah, Jackal snipers suck in ODST. Beam Rifle in general has taken a nerf in ODST, because it's weaker when you use it as well. Their aim is pretty bad most of the time though, that's definitely nothing to do with the weapon itself. What I absolutely hate is the grenade throwing. It doesn't fly right.

  15. Yeah, it's a $5 DLC. Pretty good deal if you ask me, $5 for an extra game. Comes with a bonus multiplayer map for H2A too.
  16. Heh! Beaten to it before I can even start! Guess that's what I get for being so late to the party that I'm not even there yet. The One's arrival may take a week or more. Still, I fully intend to do walkthroughs for the MCC and H5 like I said before, which obviously will have to contain a response to this question. I didn't know he could be assassinated when damaged enough, but the rest I did already gather simply by watching videos. Hopefully I can contribute a solid method that rarely fails when the time comes.
  17. Whoa whoa whoa, I'm just saying it looks a lot bigger than it seems to actually be. The measurements could be wrong. I'm not jealous and I am glad for you having this. It's definitely cool, with the firing and reloading movements and sound effects. It's just definitely not that big in the hands of a UNSC Marine, and they aren't augmented like Spartans so I think they're a fair comparison to you. You certainly don't look like a small person standing next to that door. There's no need to take offense. It's cool, I just wouldn't say it's perfect.
  18. The measurements must be screwy then because the H4 Needler is smaller than the CE Needler.
  19. Well, the thing says the Needler is approximately 2 feet long (22.8 inches) and it appears to be much larger than that in your hands. A Plasma Rifle on the other hand is slightly larger than a Needler and in the hands of a UNSC Marine, who is obviously not Spartan-sized...well, it looks like this.
  20. Whoa that looks WAY too big. Can't be just that Spartans and Elites are huge because it looks nowhere near that big held by a Marine, Grunt, or Jackal. Looks more like 1.5:1 scale.
