  3. A few times. It started much worse, it's my first Ricochet map. Would you like to join a game here? I would also be delighted to check out any of yours, DessonTheMighty!
  4. I was getting at my own personal opinion, Zandril. Indeed, the second thing you said, like I said--I want/need to get into the map. Chronmeister, we're already friended so inv anytime to test out these maps of yours, they're fantastic.
  5. Thanks, but I'm not really looking for feedback anymore. This is done and, clearly, submitted. But if any readers would like me to hop into their forges I'd be delighted.
  6. GT: TheBloodbath22 Suggested Player Count: 8 - 10 Supported Gametypes: Ricochet, CTF, Slayer Initial Ordnance: Sniper x2 (135), Neutral Fuel Rod Cannon x1 (200) Random Ordnance: Neutral Railgun x2, Neutral Saw x2, and 3 Plasmas x2 A Note: Well hello fellow Cartographers. TheBloodbath22 here. It's really been a long while, since my submitting maps anywhere online for feedback proved utterly fruitless, leading to trolling, heckling, and truly nonconstructive comments. But a Ricochet forge contest brought me back from my slumber, as it is my new favorite gametype. I hope for a BTB version. Anyhow it's good to be back, for however momentarily, and I appreciate your reading and consideration! DOWNLOAD HERE: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/9357bc1d-7908-434b-aa7a-2d5a3bc9ca40 DESCRIPTION: Medium (?) sized competitive symmetrical arena on forge island canvas, shaped like an Hourglass. I aimed for a design that would smoothly balance between simplicity and unique gameplay. Straightforward, but flavorful. Cannons with delayed spawning, abundant ordnance, and more deliberately open spaces than cover favor communication and strategy. Teamwork is almost essential to thrive here, unlike many other designs. This is subjectively a plus. Alas, some photographs! PLEASE NOTE: The rear side walls have been removed for easier scoring from either end of the main bases. And that's that! Thank you so much! I love sharing my work, though this time the map was created and designed strictly for Halowaypoint. I hope you all enjoy. I admit I am not really open to feedback here online anymore, this is more of a simple submission through and through. However! if anyone would like to establish mutual testing of any forges, I would be delighted. Best of luck in all your hard work! FRIEND TheBloodbath22 FOR MUTUAL FORGE TESTING!
  7. Very impressive Chronmeister. Though from first glance it looks like it could use some cover here and there, I just gotta get in there. I wonder how often you have outdone yourself!
  8. Why thank you Bnus! I'd be delighted, how would I go about getting it in there? Be sure to friend for mutual testing!
  9. Hey folks! TheBloodbath22 here. October 8th is the deadline for a Ricochet forge contest, and I'm looking to test out my submission before I, well, submit it. So I'll need a few players to check it out with me, see what kinks I can work out, etc. I'm also concerned about its size, since it's supposed to be mid-sized at most, and it sort of walks a thin line, there. So here's a little info: Competitive symmetrical mid-sized arena shaped like an hourglass, supports Ricochet/CTF/Slayer, on canvas Forge Island. An attempt to fuse by-the-numbers design with unique gameplay features. Download Map Here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/9357bc1d-7908-434b-aa7a-2d5a3bc9ca40 Side Profile: Note!!: Those cannons at the top of the rock 3's at center are delayed spawns to change gameplay. Even later in the game, those exposed ramps that lead up to the bases also receive a cannon each, leading into the goals--once again adjusting gameplay. These absolutely require playtesting. Bases Note!!: Please keep in mind that the rear walls at the sides of the bases have been removed, to allow for easier Ricochet scoring from either side. This is just one of the many things that requires testing! No one makes a perfect map, and I am well ready for constructive, I repeat only constructive feedback. We here all know how much hard work and time we put into our forges, fellow Cartographers. Thank you all so much for your time and attention! I have a mic. So friend me, I'll work out a 4v4 gametime!
  10. Very urban, neat vibe! Be sure to inv for playthroughs, GT: TheBloodbath22
  11. From a fellow forger, the best feedback I could give without playing the map is my first impression: there is a distinct need for more cover. It looks like the geometry of the map was built primarily to accommodate theme. I would also cut back a bit on so many vehicles, since they will overwhelm players on foot, who have nowhere to hide--there are 4 vehicles for a 6-man team. I would flip those braces on the mid routes for cover. That centerpiece looks wonderful, but where do the cannons send you? Best of luck in your forging, be sure to inv anytime for playtesting and further second thoughts.
  12. Fantastic design. I'd love to play it, see how it flows! So invite anytime.
  13. Hey folks, request for me to join games on your custom maps, and offer constructive feedback towards your hard work. I am a fellow forger. My fileshare offers some examples of my work. I have a mic! So I'll see you all soon. Don't forget about that Ricochet forge contest! GT: TheBloodbath22
  14. With a terrific layout, my first impression is that the design could use more cover here and there, especially since the primary gametype would be FFA. Request @ gt TheBloodbath22, I'm down for a game on here to give more constructive and specific feedback. Best of luck, and great effort!
  15. Man of Steel is proving a particularly satisfactory mini-game adaptation! 90% done...

  16. Hah, it's all good. After I submitted mine, I found someone else had used it before me, too! Good name, I suppose. Yeah, great map, request me @ TheBloodbath22 if you ever want future testing on your concoctions
  17. First Impression: As far as symmetrical maps go, this is a dynamic simple-and-sweet design; terrific work. Excellent decision to swap the sniper rifle out for a railgun. I think borrowing Simplex's ideas of the raised 1x1 exposed block at each base and straight-across sightline function well here. So! All positive. I'd love to give the map a game or two to see if I can help improve anything. I'll request! Bravo.
  18. Brilliant! I'm almost humbled. And not just because one of my maps shares this one's name!
  19. GT: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: Callisto Supported Players: 1v1 to 5v5 (2 - 10) Supported Gametypes: Slayer, FFA, Team Snipers, CTF, KOTH, Oddball Size/Budget: Small to Mid-Sized Arena/ 5950 Theme: Mysteriously abandoned mine, named after Jupiter's moon Callisto due to its crater shape. Primarily natural rock, this unpredictable arena with strong flow and adequate verticality plays best with Sniper Rifles, and secondly with CTF. Dozens of crevices and a complex but quickly memorable layout emphasizes strategy and teamwork for superiority. Initial Ordnances: Sniper Rifle x2 (evenly distributed) ReSupply 100/ Railgun x1 (Neutral) ReSupply 150 Random Ordnances: Incineration Cannon x1 Neutral, Sticky Detonator x1 Neutral Vehicles: N/A Now, your favorite part of the show--pictures! Overhead Side Attacker (Blue) Side Defender (Red) Side
  20. GT: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: Crosshairs Supported Gametypes: Team Snipers, Slayer, CTF, Oddball Suggested Party Size: 1v1 to 6v6 (2 - 12) Map Description: This one is an aesthetic and more straightforward creation, indeed not based on anything but the crosshairs in your rifle's scope. Crosshairs is an asymmetrical mid-sized arena which fuses nature and geometric structure to prompt deft hands to use strategy and teamwork to overcome the opponent. With dozens of nooks and crannies, certain rocks deliberately impede or smooth out movement. From a bird's eye view, the arena resembles Crosshairs. This arena was strongly dedicated, but not limited to, fellow Snipers. ***NOTE*** I've been having issues since May 5th with downloading my screenshots. There's a serious bug. Therefore, I'm afraid I have only one screenshot to reference, so my apologies. I sincerely hope this will suffice. ***NOTE*** Initial Ordnances: 2 Neutral Snipers 1 Neutral Saw Random Ordnances: 1 Neutral Concussion Rifle 1 Neutral Railgun Budget: 5250 And that's that! Thank you very much for taking a look at my latest arena. I hope you enjoy.
  21. This looks fantastic! I was going to do something with Aliens, but you beat me to the punch--and I can't wait to see the rest!
  22. GT/Creator: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: Crazy Taxi Download Link: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/3a3f5e70-7bca-4038-99fe-7eb951cc0363 Supported Gametypes: Slayer, Flood, CTF Custom Gametype for Minigame: Crrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy Taxi!!! Download Custom Gametype Here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/a5362ae5-54fb-488f-8c52-0ad73ab252f9 Description: Sure, Crazy Taxi was released in that Dreamcast collection, but that was an awful release that stripped the game of its music. Who didn't want to crank up "All I Want" by the Offspring?? So I thought it'd be fun to recreate a West Coast area for us to drive around like a madman, delivering customers--very slow humans--to Invulnerable spots that'll protect 'em from the Flood. But I didn't stop there. I went ahead and made Slayer and Capture the Flag versions of the map too, because it just looks so nice, well, to me anyways. Those two modes will grant each team of 8 or less a Mongoose, a Warthog, and a Ghost each with a neutral Mantis. RULES: for Crrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy Taxi!!! The gametype is Flood. There are Trait Zones on this map that make Humans invulnerable, but Humans can only move at half speed. One human, who begins next to a warthog, picks up Humans and delivers them to the Trait Zones that make them invulnerable so they can survive the outbreak. These trait zones are only large enough for ONE Human each, so you must take customers to alternate Trait Zones. ### IMPORTANT NOTE: The invulnerable spots are marked by Grenade Ordnances ########## So: Goal of Humans: Survive. Goal of Cabbie: Deliver as many humans as possible to the Trait Zone spots (marked by Grenade Ordnances) that offer Invulnerability. Goal of Flood: Kill as many humans as possible before time runs out, as the Cabbie saves Humans. This took no shortage of creativity, so if any questions about the gameplay arise, please feel free to inquire and I will explain appropriately. Let's have a look already! Hey, Alfred Hitchcock fans--do you recognize this schoolhouse?
  23. True indeed, although I don't only submit my maps to THFE. I'm also on Halocustoms, etc., but either way none of my other maps hardly compare--I was definitely humbled, and am just pleased to delight fans of both the Matrix and Halo.
  24. Hey everyone, as I'm sure you must have noticed by now, the "Send to Xbox" button has been registered into Halowaypoint, thus displaying how many downloads our maps have acquired. And, wow! This map has 448 downloads so far. I just want to personally thank everyone for taking the time to go out of your way and download this map. It's very encouraging, and I am extremely pleased with the community's support, as well as 343's platform in which to accumulate it. I look forward to sharing ever further creations with you all! FYI: Keep an eye out for Crrraaaaaaaaaazy Taxi!!!, a West Coast resembling area built on Forge Island. All you fellow 'Crazy Taxi' fans out there should be pleased with the Minigame.
