Warthog Description: BTB asymmetrical arena comprised of two distinguishable bases separated by an active volcano (interior accessible), and connected by a freeway. TheBloodbath22 here. It's really been a long while, since my submitting maps anywhere online for feedback proved utterly fruitless, leading to trolling, heckling, and truly nonconstructive comments. But a Ricochet forge contest brought me back from my slumber, as it is my new favorite gametype. I hope for a BTB version. Anyhow it's good to be back, for however momentarily, and I appreciate your reading and consideration! I aimed for a design that would smoothly balance between simplicity and unique gameplay. Straightforward, but flavorful. Cannons with delayed spawning, abundant ordnance, and more deliberately open spaces than cover favor communication and strategy. Teamwork is almost essential to thrive here, unlike many other designs. This is subjectively a plus. Alas, some photographs! PLEASE NOTE: The rear side walls have been removed for easier scoring from either end of the main bases. And that's that! Thank you so much!   5. Hey folks! TheBloodbath22 here. October 8th is the deadline for a Ricochet forge contest, and I'm looking to test out my submission before I, well, submit it. So I'll need a few players to check it out with me, see what kinks I can work out, etc. I'm also concerned about its size, since it's supposed to be mid-sized at most, and it sort of walks a thin line, there. So here's a little info: Competitive symmetrical mid-sized arena shaped like an hourglass, supports Ricochet/CTF/Slayer, on canvas Forge Island. An attempt to fuse by-the-numbers design with unique gameplay features. Even later in the game, those exposed ramps that lead up to the bases also receive a cannon each, leading into the goals--once again adjusting gameplay. These absolutely require playtesting. Bases Note!!: Please keep in mind that the rear walls at the sides of the bases have been removed, to allow for easier Ricochet scoring from either side. This is just one of the many things that requires testing! No one makes a perfect map, and I am well ready for constructive, I repeat only constructive feedback. GT: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: Callisto Supported Players: 1v1 to 5v5 (2 - 10) Supported Gametypes: Slayer, FFA, Team Snipers, CTF, KOTH, Oddball Size/Budget: Small to Mid-Sized Arena/ 5950 Theme: Mysteriously abandoned mine, named after Jupiter's moon Callisto due to its crater shape. Primarily natural rock, this unpredictable arena with strong flow and adequate verticality plays best with Sniper Rifles, and secondly with CTF. Dozens of crevices and a complex but quickly memorable layout emphasizes strategy and teamwork for superiority.   7. Map Name: Centipede 2 Description: A Horizantal variant of the classic arcade game, "centipede". The concept is simple--no one can jump. It forces the Flood into the trademark zig zag, with no thrusters to speed them up, though their natural movement is still 150%. Everyone has 3 lives, and the Humans hav Binary Rifles, and one of three secondary weapons: A.) Magnum and grenades (B.) Beam Rifle, No Grenades (C.) Plasma Pistol, No grenades.   8. That's right! This is a KOTH version of the arcade classic, also black and white here. The concept is this: 200 points to win, 5 hills shrinking inward (every 60 seconds) along the grid you play on , with Kill, Soccer, and Golf balls rolling at you--and flying crashing warthogs to boot--with only rockets/incineration cannons and a gravity hammer to save you. 5 lives per round!   9. GT/Creator: TheBloodbath22 Map Name: "Starlight" Recommended Player Count: 10 - 16 Supported Gametypes: Slayer, CTF, Oddball, KOTH, Extraction. Description: Inspired by BT Infinity Slayer online, I decided to improvise a map dedicated more distinctly towards large-scale combat. Although close-quarters weapons are at a disadvantage here, the map has distinguished sightlines and ordnances that adjust gameplay. This is an asymmetric map with the exception of the centerpiece, which is symmetrical and upholds a Mantis. Nearly an entire asteroid of canvas map Impact is used here. I recommend CTF for the best game night, as the map was primarily designed for that gametype.
