  1. how the hell do you deal with people that get close/people who strafe up close? What do you do when a vehicle speeds past you? I play on 4, which is what I've played on since halo CE.
  2. I have problems with the game. This is not one of them however.
  3. I recently was using the storm rifle for the automatic weekly, and damage boost makes that thing stupid lol. They die in what seems under a second.
  4. This is one feature, although I don't agree with, have had much enjoyment using with things like the sniper rifle and rocket launcher for hilarious results. The rockets one hit anything in the explosion radius and the sniper rifle is transformed into the halo reach sniper, but even more so, two hitting warthogs and one shotting players. Anyone have some good examples of WTFPWNing people with boosted weapons?
  5. Beam rifle is awesome anti infantry, but the sniper rifle is also good anti infantry with Anti vehicle roles. I like both of them in halo 4. In halo 2 the beam rifle was insanity.
  6. The incineration cannon has insane range, and requires not too much leading to own people from far away with it. But you only get that one shot. The rocket launcher is the in between, two pretty powerful shots. My favorite is the Fuel rod gun for anti infantry, 5 shots of one hit kills and still very good anti-vehicle.
  7. Grats man. as an mythic player myself I can attest to this feats difficulty. Did you find any of it harder then The Ark from halo 3 or Coastal highway from Odst?
  8. Warthog gunner class: Primary weapon: Dmr Secondary: Plasma pistol Grenades: Plasma grenades Armor ability: Camo or thusterpack (personal preference) Tactical package: Shielding Support package: Gunner Explanation: This is a very specific class for big team battle games or vehicle heavy objective games. It greatly augments your ability to be a better gunner in the warthog specifically, it's also a really awesome alternative to use over wheelman package when you're in a mantis, as the shields will recover much faster, actually making a difference with the super slow regenerating mantis shields along with a longer turret firing time on its main arm. Shielding also helps complement your driver as you shields be back instantaneously allowing you to get back into the fray without worrying your gunners shields aren't all the way back. The DMR and plasma based secondaries are for when you aren't in a turret, warthog gun or mantis to deal with enemy players and vehicular threats. All Rounder Vehicle class Primary weapon: Dmr Secondary weapon: Plasma pistol Grenades: plasma grenades Armor ability: Thruster pack, jet pack (for faster access to things like the banshee on certain maps) Active camo. Tactical Package: Wheelman Support Package: Explosives This is a little known secret to make you MUCH tougher in a vehicle. Explosives reduces the damage you take from explosions, and this carries over to a vehicle you're piloting. Getting stuck by grenades will still be problematic, but area of effect explosions do much less damage to the structural integrity of your hog. Wheelman is self explanitory, as it is pretty much a requirement to anyone who seriously wants to utilize vehicles.
  9. Halo reach sucked. Someone had to say it.
  10. If you play BTB mostly, then yeah, you won't encounter much boltshots. Play a smaller game-type, like dominion or even base slayer and come talk to me. The weapon is EVERYWHERE in dominion.
  11. Sounds like a bunch of people are mad they're getting owned by invisible snipers lol. Normally I would be all over hating on something that you needed to obtain in other games, but there are so many broken elements in this one that I really don't care that much here. I think all armor abilities have no place in a game like halo. THAT being said, I will keep using active camo on big team maps, it's just too effective not to use. Here's the thing though, I constantly move, but I use camo all the time, it's perfect for getting under cover and remaining undetected out in the open while your insane shield recharge time starts it's 6 second count down.
  12. After reading, it does seem likely that the Arbiter will meet up with Infinity.
  13. Composer with the weekly challenge skulls on (mythic tough-luck thunderstorm tilt) was by far the most difficult thing I had to do in campaign.
  14. I would be more interested in the harvester moving around and having to fight it like a scarab.
  15. It's a good change, the weapons function remains intact, but what made it so infuriating has been removed. I still don't like a one hit kill capable weapon to be a spawning one, but at least I won't get killed from assault rifle/battle rifle distance from a charge shot now.
  16. Where did I say you didn't understand something?
  17. Thats an interesting take on the gametype. I'm not sure how the game-type was coined swat but in halo 2, when it existed in custom games only for the first couple of months, it was commonly referred to as Team Head Shot in most custom games I played.
  18. Uhh. No. If armor had things that effected game-play in a meaningful way then the game would be totally broken and unbalanced. Not to mention if players still had the tenacity to play such a game, they would have to buy the DLC armor packs to compete...
  19. Big team "slayer" needs to be changed to BTB, or Big Team Battle. And it desperately needs better maps, besides exile and Ragnarok and longbow the other maps are trash in big team.
  20. The plasma rifle hands down, Brute variant or normal. When dual wield existed it was awesome.
  21. All the best players use stability. It's my main fighting class with any precision weapon. Your aim doesn't move when getting hit while zoomed in or shooting. It makes a BIG difference in long range fighting, and with a sniper rifle.
  22. God....good in theory, but think about it for a second. 16 organized players? That would be a nightmare. With how fast you die in this game, imagine 6 or more people seeing you...they would have too shoot...less then a bullet each to kill you, it would be a team-shotting mess, and with 343i's less then awesome optimization (split screen anyone?) I'm sure it would framerate lag like a mofo.
  23. On some maps its not so bad, but if you're not using camo on Ragnarok you're doing it wrong. It's super overpowered on that map, since no one will ever get close enough to see your scrambler.
  24. If you see someone going to betray you for the sniper rifle, do what I do: Sprint off and shoot all the rounds into the air, walls, and ground, and hold the sniper rifle empty. It will deprive you of the weapon, but it will REALLY piss off the person trying to kill you for it.
