  1. If they decreased the range of the DMR to the range of a battle rifle then what would be the point of having both weapons in the game? They are very similar and the DMR is meant to be a long range rifle and the BR is meant to be a mid range rifle.
  2. I'm all for new changes and improvements to Halo, but 343 is screaming about how they want to ensure matchmaking is "competitive". Nothing screams competitive, to me, like a rank system based off of skill so we can have something to compete with one another. Also, it will keep the games more balanced because the same truly ranked players will be matched with players of their caliber and not players much worse or much better. I still love Halo 4 and admire 343's work, but I don't have that same "itch" to get on matchmaking like I did in the Halo 2 days.
  3. Yeah true. Seems to be a lot of unhappy players. Im sure they'll add some sort of gimmick for the fans if they have to. They'll do all they can to keep the rights to making Halo seeing how it brought in **** tons of revenue for them lol
  4. Yeah hopefully they will. They're still screaming about keeping the game "competitive" so maybe they'll keep working on that.
  5. I think 343i is taking WAY more crap than they deserve at this point. Like Neurotic Kasper said its only the 3rd week. Sure we would all like a flawless game on release day, but lets face it they sold millions of copies of a game that's "incomplete" in the eyes of some fans, so why wouldn't they release it and then work on it like they are now to make money. Don't give up on Halo 4 just yet, 343i plans on making headway on fixing the bugs and trying to perfect the game. Pretty much all games nowadays don't release new map packs within the first 3 weeks. Just give 343i some time. They're working hard to make a good name for themselves and to live up to the "bungie" status of creating Halo games.
  6. Yeah I do like that they are working to perfect each game type individually, but it does suck that they get us hooked on a game type for a while then take it off to work on it. I'm sure it'll be back
  7. sweet! good to know and glad to hear that, thanks
  8. supposedly 343i is toggling several game types for the first month or so to get fan feedback and to get all of the bugs out of each game type they ultimately finalize a game type list that will be concrete.
  9. has that statement definitely been confirmed by 343i?
  10. I may get bashed for this comment, but imo straight camping one area of the map for an entire match is just a way for lesser skilled players to get a few kills. Granted it can be a strategy for smaller maps as mentioned above, thats just my broad opinion of the subject without taking the map being played on into consideration.
  11. ^ this. most people can attest to camping on the move. definitely socially acceptable
  12. I think a lot of people are upset by the ranking system but why is everyone blaming 343? did bungie not have the same system in Halo reach? Personally, I like the idea of having a Halo 2 style ranking system where you can de-rank from losing or playing poorly. Of course this would contradict the direction that 343 is trying to go in with Halo 4 with customization and such.
  13. true. guess its just a matter of your gaming style
  14. depending on the game type and/or situation in the game I think camping has its place in Halo. However, as a general rule, I don't know why anyone would want to camp in a fast paced game like Halo because you're more likely to get more kills roaming around. The odds of large volumes of people walking directly by your camp spot is highly unlikely.
